Epic run! You could have fused a shield to the master sword so the final blow was technically aided by a shield.
Guess I'll redo the run now
Well fuses don’t show up for the final hit so it wouldn’t really change anything

Highest respect for enduring the pain in these runs! I missed your last yiga stream but I watched the vod and it actually looked insane "glory to master kohga"
I think for this run since it was only my 2nd playthrough, a lot of my pain was from not knowing how to fight the bosses (queen gibdo and dazzlefruit smh)

More accurately: can you beat TotK with no hand held weapons aside from shields, but VERY impressive. Knew the Queen Gibdo was gonna be ridiculous. 😅

Great video! I think using a dragon parts instead of sapphire/topaz would have been better since they trigger while attacking with the shield.
If you check the VOD (I left out this part from the video), I actually tried that out with a ice lizalfos horn and honestly I preferred the sapphire since I can consistently be defended and ice them. Also thanks for watching!

Why did you wait for block/parry to proc the freeze effect? You can just smack them with your shield like you were with the White Lynel horn for dps..

As someone who failed miserably at first on the ganon fight, I found the final few fights were so painful
5:26 did you know you could parry the lynels fireballs? I learned that a few weeks ago and i don't try to run anymore, it's much more reliable when you have the timing down

There's an Easier one Using a Shock Emitter, And the Tarrey town House, (If You use Rubber armour)

Fun fact if you time it correctly you can explode a bomb fruit meanwhile parrying with an attack shield and go into quick menu and drop the bomb
I think you were being too restrictive on yourself. Even Naofumi from Rising of the Shield Hero stocked up on items and relied on a team. I would have gone for more hearts, farmed anti gloom stuff and have the sages. But good run! It inspires me to try this out too

A good idea would have been to fuse the gloom clubs from defeated phantom ganons to your shields, since the are 50 dmg instead of 44 from the lynel horn, though it might have to happen mid fight so that might be hard

Yo if you ever do this challenge again you should try to get some cannons and fuse it to your shield and then you’re unstoppable until it breaks, you guys can’t watch that

Does the Hylian shield break normally or just if you fight Gannon
It has 800 durability so it lasts for a super long time. Ganons gloom projectiles do a TON of durability dmg tho and destroy any shield in it's path basically
Those Ganon projectiles are coded to instantly bring your shield to 1 hit left no matter how much durability it has

Just came up with a challenge. I would not reccomend it. So basically, you just sell all your heart containers to the demon statue. Then progress through the entire campaign with just 1 heart.
You can't go below 3 hearts at the demon statue

Well, um, technically 🤓, you can beat the room of awakening if you zuggle in a shield with a sharp monster part or weapon fused to it, then parry
