Man, last time Blender animation project I watched was Sintel. Blender has come a really long way in the past few years. Much friendlier to newcomers as well, as I only started doing 3D modeling work last year. Really great work. Congrats to all involved!
Considering that all the henchmen have huge scars on their heads, and the villain talks about their "next recruit," I think it's just the procedure they all went through to become that way. So I don't think he died, he's just becoming a henchmen like everyone else. yay no more depression c:
I am very impressed by everything in this teaser, from the modeling to the animation. The suspense is very well done as well, this is crazy exciting! Great job to everyone included!
i watched this animation a long tima ago and i just want to discuss about this really good animation and about the details : - 0:47 when we see the barber for the first time, we can see that he has a scar on his forehead. We later realise that he's actually a victime of the mastermind who is owning the undergrounds of the establishement (and we can suppose that he is her first victime because he's actually the owner of the place if we are paying close attention to the papercuts on the walls). that explains his zombie-like attitude. - 1:43 the little statue with the buttons is also a foreshadowing to the plot. the way it opened and the location of the buttons on the head reminds the way brain surgeries are made and so, how the victimes are being lobotomised (the buttons can also represent the control and manipulation of the victim). the scissors picture right upon the statue goes to this direction : it cuts your hair, but also to get access to your brain. - we can see numerous wooden puppets carrying stuff in the barbershop and most of them are tools that you are using for cutting. This can represent the victims of the villain : they are puppets commanded by their leader in charge and bring the what they asked (and judging by what they are holding, not for good purposes).
Amazing portrayal of a Dutch classic. Absolutely nailed it. If you guys can maintain this quality for the whole movie, it'll blow everything out of the water.
Super wonderful! A true testament to Blender's awesomeness. What more better way to start my day than to watch a short film as fun as this. Once again, you guys at the Blender Foundation outdid yourselves. Huge congratulations on this stellar job! Are we expecting a full-featured film anytime soon? ;)
Read the description: "This three-minute teaser for a full-length animated feature is based on Dutch artist Martin Lodewijk's classic comics series Agent 327. The Blender Animation Studio is currently developing the story and seeks for funding to bring this adventurous comedy animation film to an international audience. " That is, in other words, the goal. Link to the website is in the description.
I looked up the original source of this short and I'm thinking that this short definitely deserves a full length movie. I'll be supporting it the best I can alongside everyone else (also I can't believe this was all made in Blender, that's freaking awesome)
Who prefers this type of animation over games that try to look totally realistic? I feel it ages a lot better. I can play a ten year old game which is animated/has graphics of this style and it feels much newer/smoother than a 2 year old Call Of Duty.
Well no, metal gear solid aged really well, despite also attempting a realistic design. Visually cartoonish characters age better because they're more bloated and vibrant while realism takes an immense amount of detail that's limited by the hardware. But what determines a game's longevity is its consistency, gameplay, and feel.
But this kind of stylised graphics dont contribute as much as call of duty in the taks of achieving hyper realism in the future uu So games like cod need to exist even if i dont like them.
Great animation, but I'm just wondering, how was the hair dryer still plugged in after going down the trap door? Also, why does Boris strangle the Barber? Does Boris work for a different organization?
I mean, maybe the hair dryer was plugged into the chair somehow. And maybe that particular henchman was from a different assassination company, and maybe he didn't work for that barbershop. That would make more sense if that was the case.
Joshman601 the guy who strangled the barber was clearly trying to get him for a complete different reason he was going after him for money while the other wanted him to make him their new henchman

Fuck you robo
me too but i was watching a lot of james bond stuff beforehand
No.
This is funnier and better than Pixar. And wow, that software is so good for being free. Exceptional. If you ever want help with the action (though what you did here is FANTASTIC), I'd absolutely kill to work with you.
Pixar is as good as this also.
Hey I would like to start something too
Should I start my PTSD?
What? This was quite bland..
I wouldn't say this is "better" than pixar, but it definitely seems more stylistic and reminiscent of 2d animation.
"...teaser for a full-length animated feature..."
Is this still an ongoing thing? Because I would love more of this masterpiece.
Agreed
Yes, it is.
It's gonna take awhile and If they got this far then if they stop then they'll have to notify us but as if now the Agent 327 The Movie is still in production!
@@humanahumana7878 really? that's real noice to know

He's Mr.Bean! No way they could beat a comedy character!
More like Johnny English, a spy still played by Rowan Atkinson
@@bogney He uses surrounding objects to fight creatively. A little bit of Jacky Chen.
Everything looks really solid like it has weight, the sound design probably helped a lot with that as well, in any case wonderful work!
A rated R action movie with this style of animation would be amazing to watch.
If this was a movie or series i would be watching this 100%
Man, last time Blender animation project I watched was Sintel. Blender has come a really long way in the past few years. Much friendlier to newcomers as well, as I only started doing 3D modeling work last year.
Really great work. Congrats to all involved!
Artsy Omni this has been in the works since 2014. So even then, they were doing great work!

I loved it, but it was kind of depressing how that one dude died.
probably 2, the barber and the guy in the basement
They sliced his head open...
Just watch a couple spy movies, my dude. It’ll get you used to seeing that sort of thing.
Considering that all the henchmen have huge scars on their heads, and the villain talks about their "next recruit," I think it's just the procedure they all went through to become that way. So I don't think he died, he's just becoming a henchmen like everyone else. yay no more depression c:
Jacob Hansen, sure, but he also says “I just wanted a hair cut”. So I think he was just there because he wanted a trim up.
Was that woman the person who voiced Edna from Incredibles?
I dont think they had a budget big enough to hire a professional voice actress xDDD
Conor McGregor actually Edna was voiced by a man. it was Brad Bird, the director of the movie!
are you stupid?
Oliver Nutkins-Middleton it's mister Chang
Oh my. This should be a full-length movie!

I did read that.
ill pay to watch the movie, haha

Amazing, beautiful, deep, thought provoking film. This is the kind of content that TH-cam needs more of. Excellent job
Very quickly forgot I was watching Blender, because I was watching great show.
3:01 you hear the guy die
Attention to detail on point!
Jelly the jellyfish what happened to him exactly? 😳
Mr_Mc_Squid you don’t want to know
Yazeed Alsheikh tell me
I am pretty sure they didn't kill him but they made him like the other guys with the scars their foreheads.
Been reading Agent 327 since the Eppo days, would love to see this made into a full length feature. Quality is outstanding! Well done!!
Yeah wish it was longer
One of my favourite comics in the 80's. Read them in the weekly magazine "EPPO".
I am very impressed by everything in this teaser, from the modeling to the animation. The suspense is very well done as well, this is crazy exciting! Great job to everyone included!
It's uh... not a teaser, it's a short film
So this is what Agent Dicker did before the Incredibles
Headcanon accepted. Very good.
Even looks like Pixar too!
"This would be a great children's movie!"
*sees **2:47*
"Oh..."
But this is from a Dutch children comic. It's filled with actual action, death, and even nudity. The Dutch are not as easily offended as US Americans.

i watched this animation a long tima ago and i just want to discuss about this really good animation and about the details :
- 0:47 when we see the barber for the first time, we can see that he has a scar on his forehead.

This is really, really good on all levels. Best of luck making this into a feature. Pixar quality here!

OMG, this was honestly better than most movies out there.
It felt very Kingsman style.
Super wonderful! A true testament to Blender's awesomeness. What more better way to start my day than to watch a short film as fun as this.
Once again, you guys at the Blender Foundation outdid yourselves. Huge congratulations on this stellar job!
Are we expecting a full-featured film anytime soon? ;)
Read the description:
"This three-minute teaser for a full-length animated feature is based on Dutch artist Martin Lodewijk's classic comics series Agent 327. The Blender Animation Studio is currently developing the story and seeks for
funding to bring this adventurous comedy animation film to an international audience. "
That is, in other words, the goal.
Link to the website is in the description.
I looked up the original source of this short and I'm thinking that this short definitely deserves a full length movie. I'll be supporting it the best I can alongside everyone else (also I can't believe this was all made in Blender, that's freaking awesome)
I've now seen this about 5 times. :D I love how much they have added details there. Every time I see something new!
Who prefers this type of animation over games that try to look totally realistic? I feel it ages a lot better. I can play a ten year old game which is animated/has graphics of this style and it feels much newer/smoother than a 2 year old Call Of Duty.
Team Fortress 2, 9 years in development, still looks actual, graphics pretty much unchanged.
hopefully i'l be worth the wait.
My favorite class is the spy
Thanks, and have fun.
On the other hand, a CoD game with this art style would not really have the same atmosphere as a CoD game is supposed to have.
But this kind of stylised graphics dont contribute as much as call of duty in the taks of achieving hyper realism in the future uu So games like cod need to exist even if i dont like them.
Who knew that an amazing film could be made with a free software? Its fantastic!
Me! I knew it!
which software??
Blender 3D
Even though there is no story and who these criminals are and why there is conflict between this crime group, it is such an amazing film
The reason the animation ended cuz agent 327 burned the camera man
He literally pointed his "flamethrower" to the camera man

A movie like Disney can be made in 80 mb free software Just wow
Which software?
blender
yeah 80 mb free software but renderer they use isn't cheap at all,so that animation can't be made in blender by itself.
Dont they just use cycles? Which is free and included in blender.
It's just cycles bro. Just as free as Blender, as it's a part of Blender.
Joshman601 yes there was a plug In the chair
eh, who cares, it's a beautiful shortfilm
It's all fiction
It’s so interesting watching this again and seeing all the small details and story elements that I didn’t see the first time. 10/10
