    As a professional from same industry often I am led away into details of technicalities, but while watching Charge I was absolutely hooked and really enjoyed it. It's not easy to put together a good action sequence edit; this was really well done. Love the Sound, Designs, Animations. For some reason this brought many memories from early 2000 good animation films.
    Good blend of stylization and realism in animation and visuals. This could easily pass for Love Death Robot episode; I mean it as compliment. Congratulations to Blender Studio Team and Everyone who worked on this. 👏👏👏

      I agree for most part except the wide shot at 00:46 hit me like a ton of bricks. The big open dark areas off to the left and in the background made it look unfinished, and inconsistent with what has already been shown. It's still good work, and I'm sure it was a matter of time more than anything.

    I don't know about anyone else, but the two hardest parts of animation for me are convincing sense of scale, and a convincing sense of weight. This short absolutely nailed both. The world feels large... the spaces, even tiny rooms, feel like spaces. And when things hit, they look like they hit and conveyed force. Great story extremely well executed and beautifully rendered.

      Especially the animation was what I didn't quite like on this one. Well, I liked it in the fight scenes, but not in the slower ones. Several movements are weirdly fast for an old-man-character, for example closing the door in the beginning. But it's alright, the story carries it!

    • @JohnWesleyDavison
      @JohnWesleyDavison ปีที่แล้ว +11

    It really boosted the speed of learning Blender with my potato PC that struggled with Cycles. And the fact that this awesome short is made with it also proves that it's a very powerful engine in the right hands! Cheers!

    So much to say about this! Firstly I wish I could thumbs this up more than once!
    Unknowningly Blender and it's dev team are pushing the boundaries of not only their own software, which mind you, is free and open sourced, they are pushing the boundaries of 3D software and animation! It's absolutely remarkable what they've done, which is also made in evee!
    As a 3d artist, game developer and graphic designer myself, I can say this, this inspires me, it encourages and makes me appreciate all the work that went into this. I pray that this team and dev team behind blender gets blessed! Blender is like the Einstein in 3D software of our time! Keep it up, and i hope this doesn't stop! Thank you for this 4 minute experience!
    Kind Regards and Love - Keagan Collins

    I still cant comprehend how incredible this is, i watched it a while back and just came across it again, from the designs to the attention to detail everything is fantastic, I love how at 1:42 the robot removs its cannon and swaps hands which exposes its core which the protagonist uses to eventually defeat it, speaking of the robot its design is so good, so futuristic and cool but weirdly menacing like in shots like 1:49 and 1:56.Its just incredible on so many levels, including stealth, action and emotion and all that comes with incredible animation. Great work
