Such a great album I just had to buy it in CD edition. I love the vibe the music gives off and I am a huge fan of the guitar playing. Brings a weird sense of nostalgia as well. Happy to know music like this is still out there being played and listened to. And EMM is beautiful :) Please don't ever stop making music. We need it in these strange times especially.
The guitar playing on this album is fantastic. It does evoke a sense of nostalgia. The past few days I've vacationed in northern California, where I rented a small cottage to myself. Currently I'm on the cottage's front porch, sipping coffee and listening to this album while staring at giant trees amidst a misty, foggy morning 🌟
@@reubenalvear1975 I wish I could do that...also Emma and Chelsea Wolfe are the only artists i can currently think of that make music that would be preferably listened from a vinyl record rather than regular cd
@@kirdot2011 Kirdot, that previous message was when I spent a long, relaxed weekend in Eureka, CA. ERR would be cool to listen to on vinyl.
In March 2023 I had the great fortune to see ERR live in San Francisco's Swedish American Music Hall. She gave what was one of the four best live performances that I have ever seen in my 25 years of concert going.
SAMH has great acoustics, and ERR performed her entire Engine of Hell album, top to bottom. Through the entire set the audience sat in a profound and respectful silence. ERR's performance was transcendent, and she infused every musical note and lyric with such a palpable emotional power. She filled up that entire venue w/just her voice, a piano and her acoustic guitar. I had a hunch she would do an acoustic version of her track, Marked For Death. And my hunch turned out to be prophetic 🌟
