We are a french stoner band / huge fans of Kyuss (since 95 for me, the singer of Deaf Blokes) !!! Kyuss is just BEST OF THE BEST Stoner Rock band ! We are not Kyuss of course, but if you are curious, check our channel : Our first album is available on every streaming platforms !
Seen them at Peppermint Beach Club,Virginia Beach back when I was in the Navy in 92. They blew me away, still rockin till this day at 49 years of age !!!
Their best album IMO and one of the greatest of all time. 50 Million year trip and thumb are my top two off it followed by Freedom run and allens wrench....whole album just rocks!
Kyuss opening up for Danzig-When The Gods Kill at the Norfolk Boathouse. They turned the building upside down. I had many experiences there and I’m 50 now. This shit was absolutely insane. 👆
Ever since I discovered Kyuss, I been listening to this album and band The fact they're not as heard of as other bands but have such quality and even better than some bands i listened to should not be understated, I wish we can spread their masterpiece album around more
I got see Nick Oliveri's band Mondo Generator at Vino's in LR a long time ago and they were giving out cassettes, and Nick sat down with me and my friend and had some beers and we talked about bass rigs on the different Kyuss albums, he was really nice and generally seemed interested in his fans and how much we were influenced by their music over the yrs. Thanks a million Nick if you ever see this.
@@paulsegaul3403 Old metal would be Judas Priest and Motorhead live albums,Monster Magnet and Southern Culture On The Skids ,I got hundreds though besides a top 5.
One of the first concerts I ever went to was Danzig. He was touring on Danzig III: How The Gods Kill and his opening acts were White Zombie and Kyuss. (Touring on Red Sun) Crazy to think of that lineup now.
I still have the cassette. They along w/Fu Manchu were my go-to "Stoner"(although that term was not yet a thing) bands of that period. Good times indeed.
This album...I would start the video when "Writhe" comes on, because it's the jam...this album changed what I wanted in music more than Nitvama, Metallica, or Joanie Mitchell...so much love, so many cassettes worn out...this is the Best Of The 90's...(Love Yer Channel)
How many others are here because they were into QoTSA but then discovered Kyuss was the better band? Not in terms of musicianship/pure technical talent, but in the vibe they created. Nothing against Queens, but how incredible would it be if Josh made a new Kyuss album?
I had a friend show me them just after they became QOTSA, but I'd always seen the kyuss (and Tool) cover's in the metal sections at the time they were current but somehow missed listening to them. Just ment discovering great music later life, and it gets harder to hear new fresh exciting music after a few decades so was welcome....
After hearing the first couple of Kyuss albums, it was awesome to see them live on tour at the time this came out and see them be an incredibly amazing live band as well -- those were good times, every week an amazing and now classic album came out either along these lines or also in hip hop -- was a good time to be young and just be going out to shows a lot.
Hola!!! Bon dia!!! Aquest CD és una passada!!! Vora 30 anys que el porto escoltant i el trobo tan apassionant com el primer cop que el vaig escoltar!!! Pura magia!!!!!

We still have 49,999,969 more years to trip to this record (downside up)!
Thirty years later and this album still rocks.
this is in fact, true
and will be rock for next 100
Guess they themselves found that many recordings from later '60s early '70s very inspiring and to be back then still rocking.
It never rocked, simp.
😢
You can see the heat radiating out on the road ahead. Desert Sound completely nailed! 🤘
A true piece of history. Pure energy. I haven't stopped listening to it all these years. Incredible masterpiece. 🤘💀🤘
I saw Nirvana, Bush/No Doubt, Ugly kid Joe (I know the Pretty Boy Floyd story) so many bands at the Norfolk Boathouse.
@@singingpantherfan wow!
If someone knows Kyuss and listens to them, I like this person. Only band ever I can listen in loop and its's not boring.

They are all good
It’s a total bad ass mf’r.
I've never quit Kyuss after this pure gem.
Lluvia, marihuana y Kyuss en Santiago de Chile!
Been listening them for years. Just a perfect band, and the Drummer is real badass!!!
He's like John Bonham, he beats the living shit out of his drums as if he's trying to break them.
Brant Bjork 💥🎶🤘
I actually got to meet the drummer and the bassist of kyuss 3 years ago when their band stoner was touring with clutch.

I hope I timed these mushrooms right
Perfect album for mushrooms.
First time I ever took shrooms was listening to this album. Great trip indeed!!!
How'd it go?
The timing isn't as important as your intent to enjoy yourself and being in a safe environment. ❤
Funny I was introduced to kyuss by a guy on mushrooms! Back in 2000

Fuck therapy. Drink a coffee, smoke cigars and listen all Kyuss albuns.
I entirely disagree but fuck yeah!
