You need a more realistic testing method. 1. First layer a piece of deer hyde or elk hyde or a piece of leather to simulate the first layer more accurately. 2. Second layer, use a tenderloin or some type of thick meat that is several inches thick. 3. Third layer, add your bone. 4. Fourth layer, add more meat/tissue to simulate the inner cavity of the animal to show the actual deployment of the blades, along with the ability to avoid bone, and then penetrate the inside of cavity of the animal. 5. Fifth, you need some type of lubricant to simulate fluid/blood --- I would be willing to bet these broadheads would show a huge cut, blood trail, etc. Using a sock, a bone and then ballistic gel is not realistic at all... its like you turned the animal inside out to test this broadhead; not to mention using materials that do not simulate an animal! I would agree these things are pricy, no argument there. But there are a lot of high level archery hunters that swear by mechanicals. They don’t fully deploy on whitetail either shot two this week. Neither sharp enough to shoot again .. one and done like every other mechanical… which makes them too expensive to re buy … just my opinion
Believe it or not that’s the point of a test! We do it with every Broadhead and this is the only one who failed to open But it’s their BA technology I believe trying to avoid resistance which it should still deploy in gel
I like the bowmars and think the broadhead is steep in price for 2 but the outsourced the steel and pretty sure that’s why it’s more. Either way I think your review was good and definitely tested the broadhead I just don’t think it was a fair way to do it is all. I have watched multiple of these reviews and have seen different outcomes is all. Appreciate the content.
@christophertowsley8563 bro I’m machinist it isn’t due to the steel you’re paying more for a name And Broadhead tests will vary in performance just how it is
Man lots of effort involved in this test lol ! I agree over priced and I also agree gel is just a bad way to test these kinds of heads. I used to shoot nap slingblade broadheads( gator style head) they don’t perform well in gel but man do they do great on deer lol. Hope to see the G5 T2 and the B3 rd2! Keep up the great work fellas!
Honestly we have yet to see this much issue with a Broadhead in gel… the only others were the OG Sevr & thorn but when you put fabric in front they both did their job This one… well you watched lol
I feel like you came into this review already hating bowmar and hating the broadhead. You shot a sock and bone into ballistic gel. This isn’t a review, it’s a “hate” post.
I had zero reason to hate the Broadhead I was hoping it’d perform as I spent $120 on them Every Broadhead I hope performs on the video as that is better for the video Also this style test has worked over & over with every other Broadhead, as I actually said in the video the BA technology is what I thought was the culprit of it not deploying as it tried to avoid resistance regardless this isn’t for me as my fixed heads that cost less for 6 heads have performed flawlessly in this test style & proven afield
😂 who wouldn’t hate bowmar known poacher that had to pay a settlement to keep it from blowing up to much. Or maybe the insurance fraud he tried by setting his truck on fire for view

Now hold up, everyone going on about how expencive they are, and then u say the ironwills are 33 each? Is there not alot more work to do with all the moving parts and such? So shouldnt they be more expencive? Does this mean the iron wills are a huge rip off then because its just one solid piece no?
Iron Will is worth the price as it’s A2 & titanium you could buy six and not need new ones AGAIN lifetime warranty Or buy two mechanicals for $30 a piece which is UNREAL
I can understand for a proper fixed Broadhead as you can resharpen easy and hunt it again without questioning if it will be sharp enough to be ethical But for mechanicals:.. that’s insane
Confucius once said, ‘a fool and his money are soon parted.’ Beast broadheads are too complicated and too expensive for a one time use head. No thanks. Buy Iron Will once and forget it.
Hell there is a ton of solid fixed heads that cost $35-$50 for 3 heads that you’ll never need new ones or even a couple mechanicals that are strong enough to just replace the blades to resuse that cost $24-35 for 3 heads as well
I can't help but wonder why you would intentionally blast a arrow into bone? You never aim into bone when hunting, the blades are designed to avoid a rib and such. Also ballistics gel is also far more dense then flesh or organic matter, do gel would be a harder medium to pass through, many others have agreed to that.
Because it’s a test 🤣 it’s not hard to see why Also we understand ballistic gel we’ve done over 200+ Broadhead tests with it over the last 4-5 years… it’s a great medium to view the wound channel and has been proven to be effective testing as we’ve used it for our hunting setups for 4-5 years now This is the first Broadhead that didn’t work in the gel and that includes mechanicals … sevr’s work flawlessly that was what they were trying to go for watch other tests of ours to use as reference and you’d see where our concerns are especially with a $30 a head mechanical Broadhead….
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA Thanks for the answer, a thorough explanation I was hoping for! Great points and such as I was wanting to see. I've been looking at the Sevr a lot, I'll look for a video of yours that thoroughly test them, I've seen some talk down on them but many other like you that defend them. Would you run Sevr or rage?
Honestly at the start I hated Sevr but the new titanium heads are very impressive the performance flat out talks! We just let the performance talk and the rest walk and when you do man do you see some improvements in your setup! Check out our last video (dropped last night) it’s got the Sevr in it and 4 other heads i was choosing from for opening week here in NY
I was curious to see some testing videos after Snyder said he has had great luck with them so far, interesting to see all the results from both sides coming in. More data is always good 👍
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I'm glad I watched this. The hype was REAL. I hunt different broadheads depending on how deep in the season I am. Early season I go fixed with G5 Montec, later season AFTER the leaves fall and all the shit is out of the way, I go Swhaker. Excellent results with both. I'm glad there are dudes like you that save us workin stiffs a ton of money on this snake oil bullshit. Much respect. Subbed!
I just don’t see enough to justify spending the price these things go for I’d rather get iron will’s solid 125 single bevel for $3 more a head and never need to buy another pack of broadheads 🤣🤣
A ridiculous broadhead sold by ridiculous people! I’m not surprised in the least bit by the quality or the price from these people. They have to sell them for that outrageous amount to help pay for all of their lawsuits and fines. I bought one of their nose buttons a couple of years ago before I knew anything about them but I won’t buy anything sold by them or associated with them ever again.
I’ve heard great things from people about this head but I’ll pass the performance does not justify the price and the other things you mentioned it’s just tough to support
Well the gel is extremely dense, far more dense than game tissue but it should have had zero issue staying deployed regardless it makes myself worry I see many defend it and if it works for them that’s awesome it just isn’t something I’d hunt myself
I prefer my blades to deploy at over 1,000 fps. So I probably wont be purchasing these. Maybe next year the marketing will get me. Come on 1k fps blades! Please switch to fire arm mode and run the blade deployment over the Garmin. Maybe these are for me 😂😂😂 been thinking about putting two finger mittens in my pack anyway. 🤦🏼♂️ im done
I’m not joking around it says it deploys at 940fps , when it was released it said 650 then 700 now 940 fps I’d have to test that as there is no way it’s 1350+ fps

Believe it or not that’s the point of a test! We do it with every Broadhead and this is the only one who failed to open
But it’s their BA technology I believe trying to avoid resistance which it should still deploy in gel
@christophertowsley8563 bro I’m machinist it isn’t due to the steel you’re paying more for a name
And Broadhead tests will vary in performance just how it is
Man lots of effort involved in this test lol !
Honestly we have yet to see this much issue with a Broadhead in gel… the only others were the OG Sevr & thorn but when you put fabric in front they both did their job
This one… well you watched lol
I just cant support a poacher. Facts.
Agreed
For those that do not know. They were found guilty for poaching Turkeys in Nebraska. And had to pay 75k fined and 2 years probation.
@@wcwcgarner2717you don’t pay 75k for poaching a turkey they did a lot more than that hahahh
@wcwcgarner2717 the other people involved got time. The bowmars should be in there with them
I feel like you came into this review already hating bowmar and hating the broadhead. You shot a sock and bone into ballistic gel. This isn’t a review, it’s a “hate” post.
I had zero reason to hate the Broadhead I was hoping it’d perform as I spent $120 on them
Every Broadhead I hope performs on the video as that is better for the video
Also this style test has worked over & over with every other Broadhead, as I actually said in the video the BA technology is what I thought was the culprit of it not deploying as it tried to avoid resistance regardless this isn’t for me as my fixed heads that cost less for 6 heads have performed flawlessly in this test style & proven afield
😂 who wouldn’t hate bowmar known poacher that had to pay a settlement to keep it from blowing up to much. Or maybe the insurance fraud he tried by setting his truck on fire for view
Thank you for this video 🙏 guess I'm using g5 megameat 😂
It’d be better than this lol
No thanks for sure. Great job guys!
It’s a pass from us as well I’m sure it will fit some people though!
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA That Minimag you guys highlighted a while back has been magic for us. Large entrance and exit holes, massive blood trails, field point accuracy and it puts them down fast,
@buckfever4721 that minimag is an underrated BEAST!
would never use this junk or any other mechanical head fixed only for me great video thx...
We roll with fixed too hard to ever go back lol
It didn't deploy because when it tried the bone locked the blades back into place and the gel it's self is to soft
A piece of leather in between the bone and the gel will simulate muscle strands and causes the broadhead to redeploy
Never had this issue outside of this head… I don’t believe the gel is the culprit here
Test the new g5 2 blade expandable.they look 2 muck like rage
I’ll check em out, probably just like this situation with bowmars leaving sevr and creating a “different” sevr as theirs
With Dudley leaving rage and bringing that Broadhead with him lol
The most impressive thing about this video is those socks bro put the name brand up for them things they can stop broadheads opening up faster than the speed of sound .
My socks don’t mess around 🤌🏽💪🏽🤣
I can just hear Sitting Bull laughing at the thought of spending $60 on two broadheads.
A fool and his money are soon parted.
Facts!
I’ll stick with the Magnus single bevel 😂
I agree!
They won’t deploy when hitting bone why they call it bone avoiding technology then after they go past bone they open back up
lol I’m aware, but it should deploy in gel that’s not enough resistance to activate their BA technology
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSAgel is pretty dense he even said in a review that gel will make the blades go back but I’ve seen other reviews where people shooting them through hides and they work perfect but anyways we all have our own opinions and like what we like I will never use a fixed blade don’t mean they are not good j just think they are junk but my buddy loves them thanks for doing the reviews I was looking for the update video of reveal camera
@JennRFL16 I agree with ya! We base what we take afield of our testing as over the last 4 years it’s proven to work in our setups the performance directly translates from our test style to the woods
What reveal update are you looking for?
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA sorry it was the edge pro you did a review on it about 10 months ago and was going to go set it up some place where the bugs are bad I may have over looked the update video
@JennRFL16 it’s out in the woods update is coming it’s been solid!
"Same people who watch their fitness videos"......man I loved that!!!! AND, "couldn't add anymore steroids or we would get banned" LOL for sure
Had to have some fun with it!
Junk
I’m not done with these Wel get em to work
Isn’t there a dispute between them and vip archery for the spring assist?
That’s the Broadhead I was trying to remember the veteran!
As far as the dispute I wouldn’t doubt it
Now hold up, everyone going on about how expencive they are, and then u say the ironwills are 33 each? Is there not alot more work to do with all the moving parts and such? So shouldnt they be more expencive? Does this mean the iron wills are a huge rip off then because its just one solid piece no?
Iron Will is worth the price as it’s A2 & titanium you could buy six and not need new ones AGAIN lifetime warranty
Or buy two mechanicals for $30 a piece which is UNREAL
Anyone who pays $60 for two broadheads……..or even 6 broadheads, is nuts! The gouging from broadhead manufacturers is out of control.
I can understand for a proper fixed Broadhead as you can resharpen easy and hunt it again without questioning if it will be sharp enough to be ethical
But for mechanicals:.. that’s insane
How many animals does this guy have to kill with the thing for people to realize they actually work just a question
I enjoy watching Bowmars hunting videos but ain’t no fuckin way I’m spending $30 per broadhead. I’m new to archery but I’m not stupid 😂
Right! That’s literally outrageous, that is the same price as a top notch fixed head made with the best steel 🤣🤣
Thanks for a good chuckle, I needed that. These heads are overpriced dog crap.
I at to much money for them that’s for sure
Confucius once said, ‘a fool and his money are soon parted.’ Beast broadheads are too complicated and too expensive for a one time use head. No thanks. Buy Iron Will once and forget it.
Hell there is a ton of solid fixed heads that cost $35-$50 for 3 heads that you’ll never need new ones or even a couple mechanicals that are strong enough to just replace the blades to resuse that cost $24-35 for 3 heads as well
apparently, those blades CLOSE at a whopping 940 mph too.
🤣🤣🤣 best comment yet ahahah
I can't help but wonder why you would intentionally blast a arrow into bone? You never aim into bone when hunting, the blades are designed to avoid a rib and such. Also ballistics gel is also far more dense then flesh or organic matter, do gel would be a harder medium to pass through, many others have agreed to that.
Because it’s a test 🤣 it’s not hard to see why
Also we understand ballistic gel we’ve done over 200+ Broadhead tests with it over the last 4-5 years… it’s a great medium to view the wound channel and has been proven to be effective testing as we’ve used it for our hunting setups for 4-5 years now
This is the first Broadhead that didn’t work in the gel and that includes mechanicals … sevr’s work flawlessly that was what they were trying to go for
watch other tests of ours to use as reference and you’d see where our concerns are especially with a $30 a head mechanical Broadhead….
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I'll check it out in a bit, thanks for being cool
@mystycim you bet man! We all have our opinions and I support all of them even if it is against mine! This is America 🇺🇸🙌🏽🤌🏽
Ruffled some bowmar feathers with this review. They had a nice comment about it on their latest insta video 😂
It is what it is, I’m sure it works for people it’s just not our cup of tea based on the performance
great testing, you have proved its a pos over priced junk
I will get it to deploy lol
Man this video had more drive by shots than a Chicago street after bar close. 😂
Pew pew pew 🇺🇸💪🏽🤌🏽
I was curious to see some testing videos after Snyder said he has had great luck with them so far, interesting to see all the results from both sides coming in. More data is always good 👍
@dans868 performances will always vary based on setups etc
I personally would pass but that is just my personal opinion
Some people shouldn't do broadhead reviews. This guy is one of them. Holy mother of nosense.
🤣🤣🤣 sure 👌🏽
This guy's buys Bowmar
@BadKarma.- some people lack common sense is all
Yeah, $60 for 2, plus finger mittens. I'll pass. I'm sticking with Swhaker and G5 Montecs
Literally tons of mechanicals I’d choose over this 🤣 hell my fixed Broadhead I hunt with currently is 6 for $45 and I’ll never need to buy new heads
Subbed!
@cg_justin_5327 that’s what we care about! We let the performance talk and the rest walk!
Appreciate the support man!
A feild point will bust that shoulder blade…. Think this is a garbage head…. SEVR, Reaper. Etc
I just don’t see enough to justify spending the price these things go for
I’d rather get iron will’s solid 125 single bevel for $3 more a head and never need to buy another pack of broadheads 🤣🤣
Shot the favorite pair of socks for nothing
Man it hurt the soul…. Was a touch colder today in the work boots 🤣
You need to get Zeus Broadhead on your channel
It’s been on since the year it came out, both in gel and through the car hood!
Good test man, I could definitely see some varients that would change the outcome of the test, but you’d think it would preform better ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well yes performance will vary from setup to setup as always
Swhackers for the win
In this sure lol
And Bowmar now owns BCO lol good luck boys
They don’t nor will they
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA lol I hope not brotha I’ve heard things like that have happened before with him
@ethanfeatheroff9135 well I don’t doubt that one bit ahahah
Nice video, better hat
Thank you!
That’s a pass from sleazyyyy
It ain’t easy being sleazyyyy
A ridiculous broadhead sold by ridiculous people! I’m not surprised in the least bit by the quality or the price from these people. They have to sell them for that outrageous amount to help pay for all of their lawsuits and fines. I bought one of their nose buttons a couple of years ago before I knew anything about them but I won’t buy anything sold by them or associated with them ever again.
I’ve heard great things from people about this head but I’ll pass the performance does not justify the price and the other things you mentioned it’s just tough to support
Why wouldn’t the meat and hide push the springs back too? Decreasing your wound channel.
Well the gel is extremely dense, far more dense than game tissue but it should have had zero issue staying deployed regardless it makes myself worry
I see many defend it and if it works for them that’s awesome it just isn’t something I’d hunt myself
Ya'll about killed me. I hit the subscribe
My Man! Thank you’ we are all about performance talks & the rest walks with having some fun during 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Like most Bomar products, a gimmick
They about making that money!
The broadhead is as good as your camera man 😂
Yes 🤣🤣
Im dieing. Nose buttons only from here on out.
Do you like that nose button they make? I’ve never shot with one but that seems like the only product they have that looks solid
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I do prefer the nose button over a kisser button
I wish I could remember who has the original nose button. It’s been around for a long time. I’ve yet to see bowmar have an original idea.
@gsnicholas8522 well that you really can’t hold against them that’s just how this world works everyone just copies and copies
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA they play it off like it's their idea. That's a blatant lie.
Trash glad I watched this first! I will stick with G5 Deadmeat.
Very expensive heads for sure considering you need 3 packs to fill my quiver at $60 a pop 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
#racefor1K
I know you're joking around but I was curious to see what 940mph was and it's like 1350+ feet per second
I’m not joking around it says it deploys at 940fps , when it was released it said 650 then 700 now 940 fps
I’d have to test that as there is no way it’s 1350+ fps
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I think the claim is 940 miles per hour which comes out to the 1350 feet per second
Don’t dog it too much. They will sue
Not dogging it, just sharing my opinion on the performance at hand
Dude your jokes were so funny 😂 the bowmars are so fake.
I don’t mean anything more than just fun joking just to be clear I don’t really have an opinion on people I don’t actually know
lol the jell target doesn’t replicate a animals insides so that what’s wrong with this type of testing you proved the technology worked with it going through the shoulder lol funny guy.
🤣
Sure whatever makes you happy 🤡🤣
There will be a lawsuit coming your way. How dare you!!!
Performance talks the rest walks!
Good thing I gave up mechanicals years ago and stopped wasting my money on garbage like this.
Once you go fixed you don’t go back…
Not impressed by the beast broadheads, will stick to slick tricks and QAD EXODUS
Not a bad idea!
Trash. Do they have hunting licenses in the US or just Africa??
I’m not sure if they can hunt here or not
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSAlast I heard was that they lost their hunting privileges for a few years due to their poaching. I don’t remember the exact number of years.
Man that broadhead is an epic fail for me.
I am gonna have to find a way to make it work… maybe needs some performance enhancing supplements 🤣
Its made to test on animals no offense but these test are the joke just take the damn thing to the woods and do what its designed to do i have 7 whitetails killed with 4 heads that didnt go over 50yrds
Anytime you have to say no offense it’s exactly the opposite… but Ya I don’t test on animals not my thing we test and hunt based on performance from testing as should people
Must be you missed it but I said if it works good for you I’m not trying to change you up just to me it’s a huge waste of money
Animals aren't a consistent test median, also every mech I've ever seen tested has opened on gel soooooo❤
Well to be fair the Broadhead did what it’s designed to do and avoid resistance… but with that said I’m good my kayuga single bevel’s cost me $48 for 6 and they performed insane in our tests and afield why in the hell would I pay $20 more for 4 less broadheads that won’t last
I mean to me it’s not even close
There junk
Not good that all junk
No bueno so far
dont buy anything from poachers
Agreed
Not impressed at all ….Sevr is the only mechanical id use if I had to use a mechanical again
I can’t disagree
Grim reapers too
