    Jimmy I'm sure a year or so ago...before, during, and after your back surgery it was hard to imagine that part of your vanlife would include 2 or 3 hour hikes with Olive. You are blessed immeasurably. 🤗

    Is there anyone here like me, who has to imagine what it may have been like to come across with area with horse and wagon? And at least one of these views I know I have seen - in some cowboy movie made way back in the early 1930's. Imagine what this area looked like then! Our infrastructure in the cities may be tattered and worn, but out here it is nothing less than majestic! We are so blessed for that! My family was out in those states when I was just a tyke and I can dream that some day I can go back, but thanks Jimmy for taking me there tonight.

      I travel by van all around and I always imagine how it was to travel by covered wagon. In Utah, years ago, you could actually see the remnants of abandoned covered wagons. Also, along some roads you can see the wagon wheel ruts. Very affecting.

    Absolutely stunning rock formations. It would be dreamy to camp along the Colorado river.
    That little park is an Oasis. Once I was traveling in Kentucky and there was a rocky area near a river with a faucet installed right into the rock where a natural spring was located.

    A beautiful video! We have a place called Shatley Springs that is also a restaurant, maybe cottages by the pond, but they serve family style country breakfasts, Lunch & Dinners also. There's a spring near there that runs continuously & has been known for several years to have healing properties when you drink it. Not far from there is Healing Springs that is in a screened in type gazebo, a notebook for visitors to sign or leave testimony, as thi spring also has healing properties as well. People come from all around to drink this water, or fill up containers to take with them. It's here in Western North Carolina, not far from my home in Grayson County, Virginia. Beautiful places here.

    Jimmy I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video, only one complaint it was too short. I had to watch it twice because I couldn't see half of it through my tears it was so amazing! I stopped it a half a dozen times to just take it all in, I was waiting for the cowboys & indians to show up. It was the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen, & I know I will probably never see it first hand. God bless you & Olive, safe travels Jimmy!!!

    Who are you following on motorcycle? Now that would be a cool cycle ride on the scenic byway. Beautiful ride. The only better I have seen is BIG BEND in spring. I could have spend a month in Big Bend it is magnificent when after some rains there are tons of flowers. There are tons of hikes and just out there away from anyone else. I sat on a rim and watch for hours until the sun set. So happy you got the van back.

    I think the people with the barking dogs was the car you saw last night coming down the road you said that’s the road I used to get here. You brave, me I’d be waiting to see who in that car. This was some scenery and really enjoy when you play music and put up what the mountain or whatever is called. Thanks for identifying some of the flowers. Every thought of stopping in local library & looking up some of the flowers, you have great shots of them, or finding a local nursery- they might be able to identify if they don’t carry it? So later do we get to hear how great tasting the water was?

      L Allred OHV = Off-highway vehicle trail. Predominantly used for recreational purposes. A dirt road or trail that has been designated as legal to drive off-highway or all terrain vehicle. Like a razor 4x4, or four wheeler, dune buggy and the like.

    Hey Jimmy, Ur right that drive next to the Colo River is Beautiful, & up on top of those Plateaus is where U can find Indian Arrowheads, there R a lot of Plateaus just outside of Sidney Nebraska & when my Dad was a young boy/man he & his brothers used to go up on top of them & they would find hundreds of arrowheads & other tools up there...
    Back in the Old West, the Indians would camp out up there so they would have the best seat in the house as it were, & they'd make their tools while they were camped out up there, tan hides & make a lot of other things while they were up there.
    The Oregon trail had offshoots that ran along in that area it's not too far from the Kans. border they'd ambush lots of settlers in that area... sad but true. so if U ever get the chance to get out & get up on 1 of those Plateaus don't pass it by, U might just happen upon some really nice Indian artifacts that U can treasure or sell for a pretty penny.
    I'd not worry about the Springwater @ all, when I was a little girl we'd go up to Deadman's Mountain in Colo. there was a freshwater spring that came right up out of the ground, it was so cold U could hardly hold on to the cup to take a drink. we always took jugs up there to get the fresh Springwater & I drank that water every year from the time I was 2 & on up for 27 years, None of us ever got sick from drinking the water.
    They called it Deadmans Mountain because a man & a Grizzley bear fought to the death Hence the name ... as it was told by the man that found him, both the man & the Grizzley Bear were dead so they each got each other. what a yuckie way to go
    Both of my Grandparents passed away & then my parents sold the cabin up there in Red Feather Lakes Colo. or I'd still be going up there.
    Well, I know that U've made it to Ausia's I saw U hauling wood so I know U didn't stay too long in any 1 place, but I also know U were very HAPPY to be back W/The tribe. Enjoy Urself, stay Healthy/Happy & Safe. & I'll catch U down the road again as U travel the roads OUT WEST!!!! Give Olive a Hug & a Kiss from Her Aunt Dellie {As they call me}
