I really just wanted to express my gratitude for such a thorough guide on how to replace this printhead. We moved from the US to Japan and in the whole chaotic process of moving and setting my business machines up here, my printhead got damaged. I went into full on panic mode because 80% of my business hinges on my sublimation printer. I found your video, bookmarked it, found a refurbished printhead and when it arrived today I opened up your video and followed along. My printer is working 100% again but I would have had no idea how to do it without all your details. Thank you so much for taking the time to help out complete strangers!

Had a 100% clogged yellow that I gave up on, thanks to your method I am now back in business, Thanks! I did not think it would work at only drips were coming out when try to flush the yellow channel. But first nozzle check and it was perfect. Man that cart reader board was a bear to remove. Broke one clip on one side. I think a dental pic would have been right tool as I had something similar that finally worked.

My like new 1430 stopped printing magenta normally (non-OEM refillable dye) during nozzle checks and all the clean cycles and all the purge prints and all the solution injection using syringe did not make a dent in the nozzle pattern. Same missing pattern. After days of trying different things, I am resolved to just change out the print head. Because of your video, I feel confident in doing this. My printer is out of manufacturer warranty (just barely!) so why not. Beats losing a $400 printer. I just purchased a printer head from AliExpress as you suggested and now wait with baited breath for it to arrive so I can restore sanity here. Again, thanks for providing what is the only video I could find on this for this particular printer.
Yahoo!!!! I just received my new printhead yesterday and installed it this morning. It was easier than I thought it would be (and I didn't break that little tab although I didn't put it back in since it isn't needed). It prints like a charm! I have my beloved printer back! Again, thanks dude!

They said it just quit printing one day and didn’t have time to figure it out due to needing production to continue w orders from customers and just went and bought a new one. So I’m praying I can save it and save some money. I’m a first time owner of one of these printers and don’t want to shell out $3-800.00 just to learn on and end up tearing up from non experience. Which store on AliExpress did u get yours from? I’ve seen people get ripped off w some of the places on there and trying to find one who people have experienced a little w them at least.

I'm starting to think it could be the ink. Dunno. I may have to buy another printhead and hope for better. I've switched inks but the clog was already there before I switched. All i can say is that it worked great initially and arrived in a timely manner. I think you're safe buying from Aliexpress as they provide some protection for buyers.
Great video! I just changed my print head after watching this but I am still getting slight ink spray around my images. What else could be the problem? Also, where do you purchase hour ink from?
Thank you so much for your great video! I managed to remove head an Epson Stylus 1500W printer. I have a question: if I remove the 3 screws to clean the channels that lead the ink to the nozzles, is there a risk of damage to the head?
Hello everyone. Recently replaced my printhead after watching this video 6 times to get a good idea of how to remove the old print head. I am happy to tell you all that it took sometime because I was new at doing this but I did indeed replace and fix my dtg printer. The hardest part was the two clips on the circuit board. I broke the right handside clip but that part is pretty tight in there so don't get scared if you have the same issue. I also broke the side clip that holds the ribbons on the right hand side. The clip that looks like a peg and locks the larger part down. Basically what I'm saying is if I can do it so can you.
Thanks Nikko.. you just saved me hundreds. I broke the black printhead again.. I threw the first 1430 away cause I didn’t see any videos on how to change the part.. thanks champion!!!! Question: how do you prevent the printheads from getting clogged?
this video is awesome and made us feel very comfortable changing out chipset boards and finally a new printhead today. Unfortunately I am not able to get any ink to drop post install of new head. I have installed a portable external waste ink station and ink does flow to that during a cleaning. If the capstation is clogged/plugged would it still do that or does that need a deeper clean? We have used original, refillable and our CIS inks with no luck getting any nozzle to drop ink. Thanks for your time and amazing videos my friend
@@NikkoPrints thank you wouldn't have guessed that could be an issue - we can see the capping station appears to be pulling ink but no ink drops when printing a nozzle check. We will def look into that F2 fuse for sure
i cant seem to remove the circuit board it feels pretty solid on there. Got any advice i can unclip the side like you show on the video but it doesnt even wiggle.

Hi. Do I need to low-level program a new printhead into printer's firmware to make it recognize/ work? I'm considering Epson L3060 F04000 printhead replacement. Will any special software be requied to complete? Or just new printhead? 100 thanks to You and best wishes from Poland.
Hello Craig. Have you had issues with say Magenta clogging up often? This is my second printhead and the same color is now clogged again. I was using Cobra Dye inks. I just ordered Pigment inks but all the flushing of the jets (even removed the printhead to try and unclog magenta). While it appeared all the jets were clear (you can see the liquid come out of the tiny jets), I did note that pushing air through magenta was not as free presure-wise as the other colors. There is something blocking inside. Just weird it is the same color that got clogged before. I'm hoping the pigment inks will fare better, but looks like I have to start over with another printhead. Any thoughts? Thx.
@@NikkoPrints Thanks for reply. I will certainly get my inks from your suggested source. I've tried to get this print head unclogged prior to using pigments but was unsuccessful, even though I removed the head and would let the chemical sit, then I'd purge, clean the head, etc. Frustrating. Looks like I'm going to have to get a new head before I start using cisinks dye. BTW, what is the "capping station"? Is that where the carts go?
I have the same printer.. I cant get it to recognize cartridges no matter what i do... Could it be the print head. i can get it to recognize 5 cartridges but as soon as i install the yellow. all the ink light come on again.
I was just trying to clean around the printer head. After reinstalling everything, the printer isn't taking any of my ink cartridges. I'm using Epson's original cartridges. Very lost and confused why

Nikko DTG Oh ok. I haven't tried doing that. I will definitely do that. So I know for sure if the head needs to be replace or not. I just think it needs a good flush and clean of the heads. I only had the printer less then a year. Thanks for the info again. I will let you know the out come...
Cee Cee Custom Hello. So today I figure finished doing the cleaning steps. Until it's came off clear from flushing each color. And let it dry. So today I did nozzle clean and test. It print two colors before it's didn't print anything but blank paper... So you think I should do another flush clean?
Nikko DTG Ok. Yes I did that Yesterday. Pull ink with syringe to make sure it had flow coming out. I think I almost got the problem resolved but it's being a little stubborn and messy.. What's your take on soaking the bottom of the print head itself? Is that a no or yes ideal?
Can I send you a video of what is going on with my printer? It was leaking ink, so I replaced the ink waste tank to a external waste tank. Now when I turn on the printer, the ink light and paper waste lights are flashing. Also the ink cart area, does not seem to want to go all the way across, and then back to home spot again.
i replaced the printer head...put in cartridges....it did a cycle... and powered off and wont power back on...there is a low tone beep..........whats going on HELP
I have the same problem, I had no issues with the printer aside from the black ink on the print head. Ordered a new print head put it in and now when I turn it on it makes a slight tone but nothing else no power light. I tried putting in the old print head and now it does the same thing. Any idea what causes this. I’m assuming the seller sold me a bad print head and now it fried the power supply. That’s my opinion at this point.

Great, glad we could help, and yes we have been using the dental pic or vinyl weeding tool to remove the cartridge sensor. Its much easier.

Best thing about these older printers is their built like tanks. Also the printhead is cheap to replace.
What do I do my printer want turn on was doing print head check it turn off ant want come back on
Your Mainboard may have blown a fuse. So you may need to replace the mainboard.
