I agree and why do the radions not keep time literally people all over are having issues including polo reef and what are they doing to fix it ? Why is it my gen 4 s on a wxm have never had one issue yet everyone on mobius has issues
Never, as long as Aperture is calling the shots. It will stay Bluetooth only. Best you can hope for is that they integrate it into the Neptune MXM module (if they haven’t done this yet, I wouldn’t hold my breath), so they can double dip in your wallet. EcoTech had planned to move toward WiFi and decentralized product remote control, but Aperture squashed those efforts swiftly. These companies were stronger, more innovative, and more dynamic as individual entities. Very apparent.
I love Ecotech pumps and wave makers - even if they’re EXPENSIVE. I don’t have a problem with Patrick and gang selling to Aperture. It’s business, and they have a right to do so. Same with BRS. Do I think Aperture has the same priorities as Patrick and Ryan? Definitely not. I do think though that he needed to be called out when he talked about competition being good, and BRS having a wide range of products - right after BRS axed the Aperture competitor products from the website 🤔
My local fish stores didn’t even know what a PAR meter was! I asked to speak to the saltwater specialist, and they go “I am the saltwater specialist.” So HOW do you not know what a PAR meter is? Im only 6 months in the hobby and im aware of them at least…..
To be fair - the Aperture acquisitions have been bad for the hobby. Look at the rising prices (yes even before inflation). Also look at what's happening to BRS.

Are you guy freaking on drugs saying hello reef is is a good for people to get in the hobby. Considering the price.. $500 for a small clownfish beginner tank. What a scam joke and disservice for the newbie. A beginner should just go to petco and spend $40 for a 40 gal breeder glass box to begin their journey. You don’t need skimmers or any fancy equipment for these size tanks as weekly consistent water chances is you need. This guy explains uncomfortably as it seems that he has trouble believing his own logic.
Hi, "This Guy" here...(not on drugs btw) Agree to disagree on this one. To be fair, there is no "fancy equipment" with this kit. There isn't a skimmer either. You also have to take into consideration that these are geared toward a true beginner, not someone like you who is intermediate/advanced and can piece together something that functions correctly. You should also be doing weekly water changes on a 40 breeder. I don't care if people buy the gear or not..to me, having all the tutorial videos laid out in one package is key. Yes, you can head out to TH-cam and get all the info you need...but remember, this is a TRUE beginner kit and finding simple information from start to finish can be difficult. I appreciate your opinions and most importantly, thank you for listening and engaging! ~Remy
