The kidney has around a million of these filtering units and they are where selective reabsorption and waste removal occurs. To understand how this complicated process happens, you’d need a more detailed understanding of the nephron and it’s structure, which itself is also very complicated. Nephrons are basically what allow kidneys to carry out their function.
