Thanks this inspires me to paint the BMC Iwo Jima set I have. I thought there were issues with painting regular plastic toy soldiers but it’s probably the primer that matters.
Good paint and chat Bill. At 74 I am still painting using a magnifier LED Lighted Headset. At this ripe old age I am very fortunate to be able to continue painting Epic (13mm) figures (Waterloo & ACW) and they come out to my satisfaction. Your figure came out well! Keep up the good work, have fun, and as always be well.
Hi, at the weekend I was playing against my 10 year old grandson using these figures. He's been painting 28mm and 54mm figures for a couple of years. I am quality control. He says " I am nine and you want me to be perfect".😀😂
Nice paint job, Bill. I do enjoy painting figures. The first figures I did were 25mm Roman, and the most recent ones were 25mm cowboys for RUTHLESS. Now I'm working on snotlings, over the course of time my painting has improved but most importantly as you say Bill have fun and it doesn't have to be perfect 😊
@@frankpreziosa2627 I mainly work with fantasy minis and have only recently started dipping my toes into the historical miniature pool but, yeah, I need to get these just to paint them
Hi Bill, sorry I have a Goober Calendar related question. I went to order one from Blue Panther but I saw unfortunately they don’t deliver to the UK. Is there a way I could order one to the UK? Thanks.
Since you went to the effort to paint several colors on the smock, why didn’t you go ahead and paint his trousers blue like shown on the box? You could have used the same blue that you used on the helmet. I don’t think this would have added much more time. (Yes, I know that you have some vision issues, which affect your painting. So I am not trying to be critical)

Another trick I do is save caps from soda bottles. I squirt a tiny bit of paint into them and after a work session just toss them.
@ great idea
There's better detailed figures to paint nowadays
