Nowadays, "scary movies" just make you jump. But THIS was real horror.
+Edith Aguayo Yeah most rely on jump scares which is pretty sad. A jump scare is not scary. It's something that relies on your body's natural reflexes and not something that makes you actually FEEL scared. It's okay to have a couple in there but when you have a film that's only sources of scares comes from the jump reflex, then you failed at making a "horror" movie.

This is the creepiest theme song next to "Poltergeist". I was raised out in the country surrounded by cornfields. They really can be creepy. My cousin got lost in a cornfield when he was young. He was screaming and it took us awhile to find him.

This theme song is so memorable, that when I first watched this (I was 4, no shit, my mother had no clue I was watching it behind her), I would hum the choir melody everywhere I went and freak out people who recognized it. To this day I can still recall it without ever needing to hear it. This recording merely refreshed my memory. I loved this movie, and will love it forevermore.
When I was visiting my uncle's farm in nw KS I used to play in the cornfield. He told me to never do it again because there was bad things in there and bad things could happen. IDK, maybe he just didn't want me to play in the corn. I guess I'm kind of a child of the 🌽
