I love how the humor in this movie wasn’t thrown in your face or exasperated, it was very nonchalant and stealthy. It’s like one min you think it’s a comedy and the next min you’re like wow! This is dark. I absolutely loved the fact that guns didn’t do anything or the whole “destroy the brain concept.” It really added something.
It,s like you know the weakness and when they Don,t work. You ask how the fuck should our Heros even made it and ask yourself if they would ever get out of there Alive. And in the the end they didn,t it,s the End of the World even maybe like in the love death and robot Episode.

Like Scream, there's some self-awareness (though only at the very beginning) and there are humorous moments but the horror aspect is played straight and is in fact the main focus. There's nothing goofy like ROTLD2 (which I refuse to watch).
This was the first.zombie movie I saw as a young man and now I'm 35 an avid zombie genre fan and after all these years this still remains my favorite and still creeps me out from the music to the point that everyone's screwed you can't kill them.
I revisit many of my childhood favorite movies and often find them silly and boring. But this masterpiece i will enjoy to the end of my days. Acting and amount of details in each scene is really something here.

I'll never forget the first time I saw this, on a VHS tape ages ago, and it was so funny and thrilling. It hasn't lost any of its laughs or charms or chills. The opening theme tune (Trioxin Theme) by Francis Baines and the score by Matt Clifford were really effective. Great film. "Send more cops."
I love how in the movie the graveyard sign says it's officially called something like "The Garden of Resurrection" and on the front gates, in 80s punk graffiti, are the words "No Future" - That always gave me chuckles! XD

I like how it has a kinda cheesy, Saturday morning cartoon vibe to it but also has those foreboding synths, bells and guitars to it. It’s all sorts of fun, it’s pretty much the 80s horror encapsulated in one theme.

When i was in 6th or 7th grade, i remember seeing Day of the Dead on TV, and later forgot the name of it. I remember looking through the video store, and finding this and wondering if it was the movie i saw on TV, so i rented it. At first i was disappointed it wasn't Day of the Dead, but after watching, it has been one of my favorite horror movies since.
