3D-Metallographie mit automatisierter Schliffpräparation

Die automatisierte Herstellung metallographischer Schliffe ermöglicht ein effektives schichtweises Abtragen, Präparieren und Mikroskopieren von Werkstoffvolumina. Durch den dabei erzeugten Schichtstapel von mikroskopischen Aufnahmen - in typischerweise mindestens 100 Ebenen - gelingt eine tomographische Abbildung mit viel höherer Auflösung als bei der Röntgen-CT. Es können alle Gefüge-Details abgebildet werden, die auch in der klassischen 2D-Metallographie darstellbar sind.

The automated production of metallographic sections enables effective layer-by-layer ablation, preparation and microscopy of material volumes. The layer stack of microscopic images generated in this process - typically in at least 100 planes - enables tomographic imaging with much higher resolution than with X-ray CT. All microstructural details can be imaged that can also be depicted in classic 2D metallography.
