Works in the new shop all day...and then comes home and works in the old shop! That's dedication...that's hot rodding! A leaf or two out of the rear and a taller tire will keep the rake! Really enjoying all the content! Go RAC Garage, keep moving forward!
Love the look of the fenders! Removing a few leaves would make the back perfect. For the front, I'd use as big a spacer as you can, while keeping the scrub radius in check. Overal, a damn pretty vehicle !!
Careful with the "spacer". It will put LOTS of additional stress on the outside wheel bearing !! Learned that "way back when" with "reversed wheels" which would be another option to moving the wheels outward.
I'm old school - I prefer no fenders and the rake - but that's me. And it goes without saying - you do you. At the end of the day - you have to make yourself happy. Liking the stress free Travis! it comes across in the light more hearted way you deal with problems now.
Back when (way back when) I thought all hot rods looked better fenderless. Coming on 80 times around the sun I realized why Henry used fenders, they just look better. Nice to see you smiling more now that you have shop. Gd move !!
Definitely looks better with fenders !! I"m pretty sure you could make a dropped headlight bar from the stock bar you had laying there. make the drop on both ends while "rolling" the bend forward so it not only lowers, it swings forward as well. You will need to add a bit in the center buy you can certainly handle that !! Make your "drop" bends @ 30 degrees simply because the "run to rise" ratio at that angle is simply 2 to 1. If you make a 3" drop @ 30 degrees your bend points need to be at 6" apart. Rotate the "drop" section forward @ 30 degrees and for every inch you go down, it should move forward by 1/2". If you make a 3" drop with the offset vertical (90 degrees), you would need the bend points @ 6" apart (2 to 1 rise to run ratio). So if you do that, and rotate the drop forward to 30 degrees from vertical, that should "half" both dimensions from what they would be at vertical/horizontal planes. So 1.5" drop X 1.5" rotation forward. --------------- I think ------------ (conduit bending electrician). ;o)
Like it with fenders on, the rake doesn't bother me at all. Personally I'm pretty excited to be ordering new family room furniture and I'll be using the beautifully naturally patina leather from the ols leather 3 seater for my seat and door cards on my '35 coupe - all inspired by your truck's seat - my winter project now that the car is running and driving!
I like both ways. Without fenders, truck looks quick and scrappy. With fenders, looks Solid and fenders have a function of keeping water and gravel away from you. Yep.. this is a toss up....great either way.😊
Looks very good with fenders, I didn't see you put running board braces on but maybe you did, if you didn't you need put them on sheet metal will buckle if you don't. I like the way you do things! Wish I knew where you got your seats I would love to have them in my RPU.
I know there is no way to correct it but when you look at car from the side,, the engine compartment compared to the body and bed …The car links STUBBY….!
The fenders look great.
Looks much better with fenders. Needs to go down on back.
Truck looks so good with fenders it looks like a more complete vehicle
Agree.
Need to get that 32 grille off it. It sits too high for the cowl.
A HOT ROD IS WHAT YOU WANT IT TO BE. Always been that !!!!
Yeah, fenders are the way to go on the pickup.

I like fendered and fenderless Hot Rods...your truck just looks best with the fenders...cool truck man.
Afternoon Travis! Yes, I like the fenders on, on my 31 Coupe, the fenders are gone, they weren't on the car when I bought it.
Love it with the fenders on, hood and sides would be great also.

If you're not going to have fenders, get rid of the splash aprons.

Trav.... I actually prefer the fendered look, on most cars. But, hey, it's your ride, not mine. That one is your choice!
Looks better !
Like the fenders.
Fenders look right.
Black lacker sanded and build up to polish 😊 why not is still available
Looks great
I like it with fenders
Usually i like fenderless hot rods, but your rpu looks better with fenders
Much better with fenders.
Killin it
Needs model T spring.
Nice Nice Nice!!
The '35 to '40 axel is 😅narrower, plus it's narrowed more when dropped.
Depending on how axle was dropped .i drop them with or without narrowing.
Travis is a 46 ford straight axle a good Choice for a model a hotrod?
A '48 is the only year having a shock mounting hole on each on side. I bought a Mor-Drop in the '70s, the holes arrived teardroped!
@@waynespyker5731 it’s original ! I torn it down to inspect the kingpins. They looked ok to me. Do need to check the Bore?
I have a genuine '32 Ford truck grill that is in super mint condition. I'd like to see it go to someone who could use it.
u do great
like fenders
Halling stuff
Too bad you don't put a good motor in it ,small block Chevy or ????
nothing wrong with fenders. just make the ole gal look beefy.
I know there is no way to correct it but when you look at car from the side,, the engine compartment compared to the body and bed …The car links STUBBY….!
how are you going to pay rent on the new shop if you only obsess on your own work hmm bad biz
No calling stuff needs tire space
IMHO; Racers are better fenderless, street cars need fenders and look better.
It looks heaps better with the fenders on
