La unit l’homme to me is the best cologne of all time. Do you think they’ll reformulate it back to the original and give it great performance again?? To me this is the definition of a masterpiece. Thanks for the video.
I appreciate a video like this. I've been at it for a couple years, but I've matured in my collecting. At first I bought just a bunch of cheapies and and Once I have grown to love peppered in there. Out of about 200 I have maybe 20 that I reach for all the time. Right now I'm focusing more on the Iconic And timeless classics and ones that I just completely love.
I watched your videos way back!, and you have a wealth of knowledge in this field, and is great to get someone who is in it for the right reasons, credit to you Sir, I used to do this on youtube a while back I loved making videos but like yourself I loved this hobbie , I use to eat sleep ect thinking about fragrances, I tried doing things my own way that was differant to others I did not always do top tens to hit that algorithms, but tried thinking outside the box to be differant, although I never had loads of subscribers but I enjoyed what I was doing, so please doing what you love and I will continue to watch your videos all the best.
I have a 100ml YSL La Nuit De L'homme edt 2013 batch which I bought for $25 which is 80% full. I have two 2oz bottles which I use but save the 2013 for special occasions
I got Body Kouros , Angel Man , L'Instant Guerlain , Lolita Lompicka , CK Shock because of you all great suggestions . I even warmed up to Burberry London for holidays . I never liked gourmands . Alot has changed , I even went deep into classics . Happy New Years Marc may this year be th best one yet

Fantastic old school list, yet still allrelevant today. Just a testament to how these scents have held up over time - there's a reason brands like Bond have re-released the classics, and it certainly wasn't because of lack of demand for it. Also a reason scents like GIT continue to be stalwarts for Creed, despite the outrageous price these days. Wishing you a HNY for 2023, it's amazing to be seeing your videos once again, certainly brings me and a lot of others much joy. Wishing you a tremendous 2023 and beyond!
I always wondered how reviewers like you with an endless collection find time to wear stuff you actually love (with all the testing you’re also doing). Thanks for sharing and wishing you a happy healthy new year sir.
it's a task to juggle the reviewed items Vs my own wants. I try to take the time to enjoy my fragrances which is a good reason I'm not so consistent with videos.
L’homme Parfum Intense / L’Intense (depending on when the bottle is as bought..) is one of the most underrated fragrances available… One of my favorites… one of those fragrances that has mass appeal and some unique facets.
Marc, great list. I own & love Amber Kiso by DS&Durga. I agree with you saying it is the best from the brand. DS&Durga has a lot of great fragrances but Amber Kiso is the best. I need to try Mango Skin by Vilhelm Parfumerie. I have tried many of their offerings but not Mango Skin. Happy New Year.
and you make me remember that i gotta use more often my old bottle of la nuite de l'homme (i didnt know the old formulation costs so much on ebay, mine is not for sell too hehe) and of course a*men. Happy to see you bring back this old school fragrances. Happy new year mark
Appreciate the video Marc. For the future lists could you please give us a short summary of what each of these smell like as you name them, since I know you take your time with releasing reviews on them lol
The OG LNDL! I miss that scent too. Honestly haven't sprayed my 2015 bottle in a good year. 😔 Interestingly enough, I was out at the shops yesterday and I smelled Fahrenheit edt on someone for the first time ever. 😄 So glad to see that some guys still wear it. But yeah, surprisingly few freshies in the bunch! Appreciate you sharing Marc!
Great video and nice to see you still wearing some of the classics. Have you had a chance to sample Dior Homme Parfum, any thoughts? My top this year have been: Dior Homme Original, Dior Ambre Nuit, Guerlain Ideal Cologne, Floris Honey Oud, Molecule 02.
This really did feel like an old school list, very throw-back. YSL L'homme Parfum Intense, it got some flack when it was released, not one bit of hype, but I loved it, bought a giant 200 mL bottle. For me, it's still one of my top go-tos when I'm chilling with friends on the weekends. Some of my top scents in 2022 year: Acqua di Gio Profumo by Armani Code Profumo by Armani Man in Black by Bvlgari Ferragamo F Black by Ferragamo Gentlemen EDP by Givenchy Layton Exclusif by PdM Bleu de Chanel Parfum Le Male eau Fraiche Andre by JPG Aqva Marine by Bvlgari Jil Sander for Men by Jil Sander Uomo Signature by Ferragamo among others...
I love how the OG Fahrenheit takes center stage again. I mean we have to give it up to this guy. He was the original of everything else! And WHAT an original he was.
Very nice list, Marc) 18 fragrances are my favourites too and also I discovered a new name for myself (and thank you for that) - Amber Kiso which I definitely must find and try 😄. And I want to make one little comment about Ciel de Gum: the pronunciation for Gum is like in the word "good" (it's abbreviation for General Universal Store situated in Moscow city centre near the Red Square).
Marc, as always, thank you for a decade plus of content. One of my first ever niche pickups (Heeley Iris Nuit) came from a recommendation and I remember wearing it on holiday in 2012. Ten years later I’m still watching to wish you and yours a happy new year and a great 2023.

was my wedding scent in 2012
@@wazzabanzook5028 that was one of the best years for it. So disappointing that they could ruin this “masterpiece” of a cologne.
@MALINOIS77 glad I still have the bottle with about 70% , I use it like 3 times a year , too scared to finish it, I usually just sniff the nozzle 🤣
@@wazzabanzook5028 hahahaha!!! I would too.
I think once scents get reformulated, I don't think there's much of chance to return to glory as you say.

I could be wrong, but I believe the YSL Parfum Intense is simply renamed L’homme L’intense. I absolutely love it. Great choice and Happy New Year!
Thanks for sharing!! It was renamed but also has been out of stock for over a year on the YSL site here in Canada.

Some pretty solid scents there!
You have the old school bottle of Chergui ! That's a treasure !
I'm cherishing it as much as I can, got the backup bottle now so I'll conserve that original bottle a little more now.

Crazy coincidence. I'm wearing my 2014 DHI today
You smell great!
L’Homme Parfume I sold it but I liked it. It always gave me Hawaiian shirt vibes.
Wouldn’t the juice for that OG YSL LNDL be completely out of date and spoilt by now?
not at all. I have some scents from the 90's still in great shape!
