Here’s a good idea to get people to actually try your products: make mini tubes that are cheaper (~$3 USD or so) and let people mix and match them in a 6pc, 4pc or 2pc set! Pretty sure that would help :)
The mini tubes would create more work and I think they have said before that the reason they do the 6 pack the way they do is because they can package it ahead of time. Making the mix and match is not necessarily a bad idea, but it creates more work for a small business that might not have the man power.

Needless to say, I decided against buying a $12.25 lip balm, lol

Doesn't help if you don't like the flavor, but that's potentially five other people who will get to try it, maybe like it, and become return customers.

I'm not sure about the US, but in central Europe where I live, in currency of my country, for equivalent of $5 you can literally buy possibly the best lip balm you could find at store. Like some amazing, flavoured, shaped etc. Normal prices for decent ones are $1. The cheap ones are normally about 25 cents. Like I get it's local business, but near my home there's also a local shop run by one family, that makes natural products only, mostly made of bee wax. And they sell like amazing lip balms (trust me, I've tried), and they're also $1,5, even though they're completely natural and homemade. Honestly, I don't think anybody would buy this if they were more expensive. Those are just the normal prices here. And no, we're not poor or anything, it's just how the market works here. I don't know about the US, but judging by the comments, prices of lip balms are similar there. So yeah, I'm just trying to say, that not everything that comes from local business is better. Especially when you know it's just basic product, and you can get a way better one for way less money somewhere else.
Canadian currency is such they have to charge a bit more than it would cost in the US. She has to charge a lot anyways because small business and higher quality ingredients than a cheap mass produced lip balm, but the last two dollars are because it's Canada not the US.

i don’t think this makes her as mad as you want it to 💀 she’s putting lots of time and effort into making high quality products with good ingredients. i’m sure she won’t be upset if you decide to spend $2 less on another product, but the cheap products tend to eventually make your lips addicted to the poor or medicated ingredients, leading to your lips in turn becoming dryer and more chapped until you have to apply every 20 minutes (which means you’re basically getting less product, since it lasts maybe a month before running out, whereas a high quality one could last you six months since you don’t have to apply it all the damn time lol.) $3.60 USD ($5 candian) is an extremely fair price for handmade, natural, high quality lip product. if you can’t afford it, nobody is mad that you’re not buying it 😂 but your lips will thank you for not putting cheap products on them, and you may find that paying $2.60 more is worth not having flaky, cracked, addicted lips. but maybe that’s just me who likes when my lips don’t flake 🤷🏻♀️ nobody is forcing anyone to fix their dry lips

However I can see why people didn’t want to spend $36cad (£23.43)for the start here bundle because thats a lot of money to spend on 6 lip balms considering they might not like most of the flavours but with 35% off it’s $12.60cad and converted that’s £8.20 which is very reasonable. (People in the comments keep forgetting about the 35% off) Also lip balm is usually between 50p and £3 in big retailers.

This is a handmade product with their own formulation and what I am assuming are quality ingredients that they source. You’re paying for their labor, time, cost of equipment, and for something that wasn’t mass produced in a huge factory with machines to do a majority of the work for you. I’ve used $1 drugstore lip balm and I’ve used more expensive local handmade lip balm and the handmade one is always much higher quality and actually helps my chapped lips. If you don’t wanna spend that money on a handmade item then fine, that’s why there’s cheaper alternatives but don’t get on here and be rude just bc it’s a product you personally wouldn’t buy

For the NTH TIME, these are all _custom made._ They are made with molds, cases and ingredients that are paid for either out of pocket or with the savings that the owner of the company likely spent an egregiously long time gathering. The lip balms are _not mass produced,_ they are produced only one batch at a time and capped and labeled all by hand. This is a small business with less than 10 employees. They cannot AFFORD to make high quality lip balm with next to nothing prices. There’s no way a small business can make a profit off that. There is a DIRECT correlation between time and money. More time spent doing something means it will be worth more money. If you’ve ever had a job you’d understand this but I suspect you legally can’t be employed. That’s why people get paid by the hour, not by the task.

@@Throatzillaaa After we have extracted honey, we use the empty honey comb (which is wax) and we melt it down into foil tins. When we are ready to use it we cut it and melt the amount we need into a metal pan (looks like a cup with a spout I just forgot the proper name). For the chap stick we put in wax, essential oils, vitamin e, coconut oil, and lots of other good stuff! We get the empty chapstick bottles in a large quantity, and we also print off our own labels, so yes! The chapstick is only 2 dollars because it encourages people to use local made “stuff” and it’s cheaper then big companies like Carmex ™️® and yes, it’s most definitely obvious, $24 for 12 I am just giving an example of what the amount would be in a small box (not including a discount if they buy the whole box, most people just don’t need 12 chapsticks at once)
Do you sell them for a living or as a hobby? I can't imagine you're recouping all the costs of making your lipbalms _and_ taking enough away to support yourselves if you're selling them for $2

This is a handmade product with their own formulation and what I am assuming are quality ingredients that they source. You’re paying for their labor, time, cost of equipment, and for something that wasn’t mass produced in a huge factory with machines to do a majority of the work for you. I’ve used $1 drugstore lip balm and I’ve used more expensive local handmade lip balm and the handmade one is always much higher quality and actually helps my chapped lips. If you don’t wanna spend that money on a handmade item then fine, that’s why there’s cheaper alternatives but don’t get on here and be rude just bc it’s a product you personally wouldn’t buy

For the NTH TIME, these are all _custom made._ They are made with molds, cases and ingredients that are paid for either out of pocket or with the savings that the owner of the company likely spent an egregiously long time gathering. The lip balms are _not mass produced,_ they are produced only one batch at a time and capped and labeled all by hand. This is a small business with less than 10 employees. They cannot AFFORD to make high quality lip balm with next to nothing prices. There’s no way a small business can make a profit off that.
There is a DIRECT correlation between time and money. More time spent doing something means it will be worth more money. If you’ve ever had a job you’d understand this but I suspect you legally can’t be employed. That’s why people get paid by the hour, not by the task.

They have more competition than you realise, there's millions of companies trying to sell lipbalms and I just don't see what makes this company so special.

@@Throatzillaaa After we have extracted honey, we use the empty honey comb (which is wax) and we melt it down into foil tins. When we are ready to use it we cut it and melt the amount we need into a metal pan (looks like a cup with a spout I just forgot the proper name). For the chap stick we put in wax, essential oils, vitamin e, coconut oil, and lots of other good stuff! We get the empty chapstick bottles in a large quantity, and we also print off our own labels, so yes! The chapstick is only 2 dollars because it encourages people to use local made “stuff” and it’s cheaper then big companies like Carmex ™️® and yes, it’s most definitely obvious, $24 for 12 I am just giving an example of what the amount would be in a small box (not including a discount if they buy the whole box, most people just don’t need 12 chapsticks at once)
Do you sell them for a living or as a hobby? I can't imagine you're recouping all the costs of making your lipbalms _and_ taking enough away to support yourselves if you're selling them for $2
