Vegeta only stepped in when Frieza was tired and losing power. Goku even asked if he wanted to tag out before the two knew and he chicken out. Rewatch the movie and find the scene i'm referring too. :)
Yeah, I was listening to this song the other day, and I tried to figure out if it was a Broly theme or Vegeta theme. It's a Broly challenging the royal line as a theme to me. I also agree with your assessment, I think the trumpets do represent Vegeta, the royal Prince. I saw it a little different though. The trumpets also evoked an image of a royal procession of knights with Vegeta representing the kingdom as its prince. Medieval if you consider the trumpet's historical roots. Perhaps to extrapolate the imagery, that means Broly would be the barbarian vs the prince in a duel of champions. I guess I also have Game of Thrones influencing my thought processes.
The melody that the violins play is a leitmotif that you hear repeatedly throughout this OST representing Broly’s raw and seemingly limitless potential. I love the observation that trumpets have a royal connotation befitting Vegeta’s heritage; my only thought until now was “well, in the American OST for Z, on which I was raised, Vegeta does have the piano of death for his Final Flash theme”. Basically this OST is... Super
This track is really moving. I can see a lot of the scenes from the movie in my head. Mr. Sumitomo really impressed me with this track. Definitely one of my favourite DBS tracks. I'm so glad Vegeta was really shining here.
Norihito Sumitomo's music went from forgettable to decent from Battle of Gods to Goku Black; to cool to awesome in the Tournament of Power; to God-like in Broly. As of right now, he could give Bruce Faulconer a run for his money.
So much confidence and determination. I think vegeta has no longer the frustrated personality as in DBZ or GT of surpassing Goku. He has understood that Goku has his development and he has his own path to go.
@@TheBoy32NDME he did want to, but unlike beginning of z vegeta and dbs vegeta, he didnt let that be the only thing he ever thinks about. Hes much more mature in gt and much more heroic. Character development like never before

Nothin like the prince making broly miss 2 dozen of his punches and making him sweat desperate and screaming at the top of his lungs just to land a hit against him this movie did vegeta justice
I mean it makes sense without the great ape boost he’s at best on par with Goku/Vegeta but he doesn’t have their experience with fighting skilled opponents
God 4:29 is one of my favorite parts in all Dragon Ball in general, almost purely for the music. To see Vegeta in his absolute prime on this fight, holy crap I love this goddamned movie
4:15 Broly grabbing Vegeta by the neck, Vegeta effortlessly dodging Broly's ki blast volley, that badass transformation. This music is perfect for the scene!
The first 45 seconds are the best imo. Broly is like a lion ready to be set loose into a gladiatorial arena. You can see the utter contempt he has for Vegeta for how his father treated his own. He absolutely can’t wait to get tore into Vegeta. The animalistic and savagery Broly shows from there is just brilliant.
@Someone by saiyan standards id say paragus is a pretty good dad. Chelia is an idiot thinking he had the collar on him just to be a dick. Broly cant control his own strength which was very evident after the fight started. What if he blew up the planet they were stranded on?
@@BLARG313 "Wh-what did he just do?!" "Hold on, can Broly not turn into a Super-Saiyan? That's certainly a disappointment." "What? A Super Saiyan? Like the legend?! That's a myth!"

The beginning part of the song feels like a warning not to mess with broly and to stay cautious, and the second part feels like the song telling you it warned you and now you have to face the consequences
This Broly makes way more sense than original Broly, OG Broly just hated Goku for crying and keeping him up as a baby, while not even acknowledging Vegeta's existence until later despite his father being the one to execute him. Here, Broly going straight for Vegeta already proves this Broly the better one, as he was raised by Paragus to hate King Vegeta as much as he did, and likely made sure Broly knew exactly what his would-be killer looked like, and as Vegeta looks almost exactly like his father, he probably had a moment like the one in Second Coming when he associated Goten with Goku, associating Vegeta with King Vegeta, which made him go berserk, which is why he is shown getting angry before the fight even starts. Super Broly rightfully hates Vegeta for being related to the man who exiled him and doesn't really know or bother with Goku, compared to Z Broly hating Goku for crying, enough for him to ignore Vegeta, son of his own killer.
I like how the song switches from the soundtrack of "Paragus' Rage" to "Broly's theme" in the beginning, to indicate that Paragus was channeling his anger of Vegeta through Broly.
This song is when Broly is battling Vegeta and @2:45, when Vegeta decides to go SSJ and shocks Broly and Paragus, a piano layer kicks in which is an ode to Vegeta's original 'theme' with a menacing piano layer VERY similar to the one in this song, different speed. (look up 'vegeta's theme'.)
