Thank you so much, mr. Bill! This 27 mins was maybe the most useful in my life! Hope to shake your hand someday and say thank you for all your incredible work!
This deserves way more than 8,000 views. This is one of the best places to go for any beginner after they watch Lars Christensen's 3-part video. This is great!

@@PunishedPropsExtras Hey Bill; just throwing this out there, when you make something in Fusion, I always try and follow along, can be difficult to find the same images that you're using to learn the software. I realise that the whole point is to engage us as the watcher to learn and make our own. Is it possible for you to share the images that you use, so we (I assume I'm not the only one) can follow along and learn as your teaching? - Love your material!
The individual lines are set to be symmetrical accross the mirror line using the symmetry constraint. This allows one point to be dragged while also updating the opposing side. The official Fusion 360 channel has a great video on constraints covering this.
@@tunnelcat4592 Thank you so much, as it turned out I had somehow fixed my sketchlines to some construction lines, (okay, don't fully understand what I did there) which made them immovable.
Thank you! I searched for them online. The image is uploaded on our site, if you'd like to use it as well: punishedprops.com/2019/01/28/oblivion-movie-pistol/
@@hahaaaaans Probably. There seems to be some clearance below the barrel between the barrel and the body in the video that isn't in the prop he was initially modeling off of. Probably something he noticed in the movie version references that wasn't in the fan made prop.
I think at some point I had altered the overall width of the gun body and therefore had to update the diameter on the barrel. I don't remember exactly, but that sounds like something I would do.
We now have a 4-hour, premium video course on Fusion 360:

At about 13:12 when he says "We can tweak it a little bit" how does he move around those scetchlines?
Can someone help me out with that?

Nice work. Where did you get the templates from?

4:58 Where did you get the 135 degree measurement from ? Did you just eyeball the angle in the reference image and nail it first try?
It's technically 45 degrees, but it's starting from a 90 degree reference, hence the 135 total degrees.
Thanks! @@PunishedPropsExtras

I'm lost.... Where did the hole for the barrel change from 26mm to 22mm?
I noticed that when he adds the cylinder into the body, the position of the hole in the body moves up but that step seems to be edited out.
The gun body wall looks thicker than 2mm to compensate for the smaller barrel body as well when he switches to create the cylinder.
@@BaneFTW73 @11:05: "looks pretty good...maybe a little wide" I guess he changed it from 26 to 22mm.
