Just like that 😅 The question is, How many Ethiopians who was born into the ethio.ortho.tewahdo church experienced the same? There is something wrong here! True he came to the right church be it Eritrean or ethio. Tewahdo church, also true nothing is impossible to God! Yet, this is not how God’s spirit or the Holy Spirit works according to the church’s doctrine and teachings. So, Habte Georgis, the devil is not happy you came to the true church and wants to distract you by triggering your emotional response and of course you mistook it for something else. The claim that first day visit to their congregation…and here you go you soft hit by the Holy Spirit😊 that’s devils work and nothing Holy about it. Dear new comer, do your confession by a priest, pray hard, get baptized, and partake the communion (if you are ready), and join the follow-ship on a regular bases. That’s the true sign of the presence of Holy Spirit. ❤
Hello, I appreciate your concern. The experience I had in Qidasie was not the only factor in my conversion nor do I believe that sort of thing is the only way the Holy Spirit manifests. This was simply one factor which called me to return to the Church. Prior to this I had many other reasons for my return to Christianity, none of them ‘experiences.’ Sudden experiences of the presence of God is attested in the lives of several saints. As I learned and took classes after frequenting the church I came to learn from the Church Fathers. And as I mention later in the full interview I see the Qurban (as well as the other sacraments) as the highest state and mode of union with God and his Holy Church as his Holy Body and manifestation of his Grace on earth. Keep me in your prayers, All Glory to God and may He bless you.
If you believe that he chose the true church, why is it hard for you to believe that he was touched by the Holy Spirit during the liturgy (when the presence of the holy spirit fills the church)? Or do you think he is lying? To gain what? Did you know how Abba Anthony the great became the father of all monks? One day, when he was attending the liturgy the priest read the part of the gospel “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” when he heard this he was touched by it. After that, he abandoned communal life and became the first monk in the history of the church. It's up to God to speak to people in any manner he choses. Sometimes it's okay not to criticize people for what we can't fully understand.
