For someone who lived in NYC his whole life and is very familiar with midtown Manhattan, the first division just feels so amazing and whoever designed the atmosphere and weather and graphics of the first one needed to do it for division 2 cause the first one is so beautiful. Me and my friends like to just casually walk around the city not even doing missions, just talking about life

That's what I do in so many games, I just love exploring the worlds just free roaming, the division 1 was definitely one of the games I enjoyed aimlessly roaming around in the most 🔥

I've never been to the east coast but I feel it in my bones when I play stuff like this or watch movies made there. It's weird knowing a city well enough to not get lost, but having never been there.
I purchased division 1 during the pandemic and a month ago I was in Manhattan. I got excited visiting the places I used to play in division 1 it was almost the same! I hope I can visit Manhattan during winter season it would be awesome!!
The snowstorm mode in div1 was my absolute go to game for years, especially on Christmas... div2 just made everything bigger and more, but it just doesn't hit in the way 1 does. The atmosphere, the gameplay... Absolutely amazing.

Both Division games just hit a sweet spot for me. They both allow you to jump in and out for quick sessions and still have fun, the games are easy to understand and get into and they both have amazing worlds to explore. No need to understand complicated mechanics and builds. Just get in and play. As a father of 3 kids with limited spare time they are just what I need to scratch my gaming itch.

Can't stress enough how amazing this game is. Anyone who has any shred of doubt as to whether it is worth it as a 7-8 year old game, need not worry. You will NOT be disappointed, and the atmosphere and story alone will keep you coming for more.

The Division was the far superior game. It deserves a massive remake.
I tried the division 2 and did not enjoy it nearly as much as the first one, it's amazing to see how many people are still grinding on xbox this year, I came back after quitting in 2019 and barely notice a difference in the amount of active players especially during the global events.
Atleast a 60 fps patch for next gen.
Deserves a Last of Us PS5 style remake.

Played this game on the PS4 on release and bought it on a sale on the series X and kept it for this winter. Nothing beats the snow and Christmas vibes in this game.

I'm still in awe of how well they recreated NY in this game. Its really impressive and immersive how the city feels when you are in the game. The game isn't perfect but they nailed the atmosphere
I still love this game and fire it up often. What you said about the community couldn't be more true. When they dropped the Underground/Survival/Last Stand DLCs I didn't have the money to get them yet.
Long story short one of the guys in our squad just bought it for me on the spot so we could all keep kicking ass. First time we ever played together, total strangers.
Still superior to The Division 2, and it's not even close.

I've been playing for 2 weeks. Never played the franchise before. Took 10 days to hit level 30 and complete all the missions, side missions etc. Now i have a gear score of 283, mostly from boss farming, i think i'm ready to go have some fun in DZ. Probably get the DLC and Div2 but i keep buying games on sale so got plenty to try out until i see them on sale.
I just started. But my first was Division 2. I have to say such a realistic vibe. I love it
The DZ was absolutely addicting in the division I remember doing everything in the open beta and calling out of work the last day so I could stay up 24 hours to play in the DZ with a buddy before the beta stopped. And you are so right then grind in the DZ didn't feel like a chore it was something I actually enjoyed and looked forward too!! Not too mention the DZ is a one of a kind experience you can only find in the division.

When they first announced this game I was hooked just from from trailers. Haven’t bought the 2 one yet but I think once I go platinum then I’ll play it just for the second part of the storie don’t want to spoil it…. I was new to loot and shooters, so I had to stop playing the first one. The game progressed faster than I could, so I just got my butt kicked, doing missions. Now that I figured it out in Division, maybe I could enjoy Division 1 now.
I’ve heard a lot of people say the same thing.
Worth noting that on Xbox Series X Div 1 is in full 4k 60fps too, replayed it last year on new character and was great to play through story, also was still a lot of higher level players willing to help out
So I played on PlayStation 4 years ago. I recently started on the division 2 on my Xbox and hit zSHD 1000, I bought D1 yesterday and dear god have I missed it.
TD1’s Darkzone is very distinguished from TD2’s, it’s a huge open area with strong enemies for you to explore, also Darkzone is much more friendly nowadays, so you could just easily walk around and enjoy the difference sights.
It's been good going back into Division 1 since last month.
Just 1 reason is enough to play division. It's amazing !!
I started this today after playing Div 2 for two months now and loving it. It’s SO much harder than Div 2. Currently level 6 agent. You are a glass person. Two bat swings = death. A bullet fired 900 ft away = death. Agent exists = death. Expect to die a lot. Like a lot!
After leveling up and getting better gear. This is no longer the case. The start is still rough, just push through. Wish it would get 60 FPS for PS5. U get used to the 30 fps after some time. When I jump back to Div 2, I really appreciate and am “re-blown” away by the 60 fps.
I remember going into the higher DZ’s of this first game around Christmas time, all alone. It was soooo exhilarating. I really miss those times

2023. Time to go back home to where it all began. I've finally reached a point of contentment from Division 2. Everything feels so routine now especially during Legendary missions. Truly earned my keep from day 1. When all your Gear and Weapons are GR'd. Truly is a testament from the everyday / all day grinds with friends and community randos. Super Thankful to reach that plain finally.
The Division Legendary and Incursion missions at the highest level still keep me enjoying this game at it's optimum peak. The Varying team dynamic from different players and level of intensity always keeps me coming back feeling reborn with every session.
OH let's not forget the SETS. The Classified Sets if you can complete them. Oh so good. !!

The divison would still hold up to this day. They really should go back and keep expanding on the first one. Everything about it was perfect. Even with its flaws.

omg thank you for doing this video, i have alot of tlc in div2. but.. its because of div.1 and the gear system is a tad better then div2, but div2 movement is improved alot from div1
One thing that I'm upset about is the lack of phones in the division 2, I would sit there in division 1 and collect all the phones and listen to them.

Just bought both games off of eBay. Was never interested before (not really into online focused shooters), but got the itch for some reason. But I'm a trophy hunter, so I'll be aiming for the Platinum, but I look forward to seeing what this is about.

@@empirezz2728 This was one of those games I had a hard time applying a Platinum rating too because there were times when it was a simple 3/10, then there were times it jumps to a 7/10. I played almost completely solo minus the few trophies that required co-op. It's not a game that's very kind to solo players, you die very quickly and enemies are pure bullet sponges. You really have to be on your toes at all times. But it does get easier in the late game after you hit level 30 and you start unlocking your Gear Score and really start getting the good gear. So I wouldn't call it Easy, but it's not soul crushing either.
I had a PS1 at 15, then nothing for 20 years, travelling and whatnot, then got myself a second hand PS4. The division is the type of game I actually didn't think I liked, the run and shhot type, but I started it a month ago and turns out I love it, it's te first game (after the witcher) where I feel an urge to play everyday, be it for half anhour. The gameplay is really gripping, and difficulty is perfect for me, from repeatedly getting my a** handed to me to near frustration to begin with, but slowly improving as I go along, and getting in the ful swing of it. the darkzone is fantastic too, from getting mowed down barely passed the door to getting an itch to go bully some cleaners for loot. I have the division 2 already downloaded to play next

I feel like every Division 2 player has to at least experience The Division 1 one time in their life. The Division 1 feels different and is a breath of fresh air for those who haven't played it yet.
I just bit the bullet and bought div2... Doing the Warlords of NY campaign atm but i already have strong feeling, that i'll go back to div 1 on pc. Better in almost every way! Ty for non-biased video.

I just renewed my ps subscription and saw div 1 on there and started it, this is after logging many hours in div 2 but it’s def cool as a native to NYC and getting the backstory on everything.

Just startet D2 a few Days ago with a Friend that already played the Game alot. Was fun. But i kept looking at D1. The Armosphere. A few hours ago we pulled the trigger on steam 4 Euros after i talked so much about wanting to play D1. I love it. Even the Tutorial of D1 gave me more than almost 6 hours of Playing D2.
I never touched it when it came out. Right now i am happy about it. I can just experience it for the first time. No interest in PvP. But Coop fun. I love it.

The area where the game begins is Dumbo (as I"m sure you know) - I work there currently and was just there - the fact that they literally COPIED some buildings and street layouts is mental. I do wish there were THAT many stores and coffee shops in real life though. Been meaning to pick this game up just to run around my hometown and shoot things. Its on sale on Amazon for 4$ - might have to give it a go

I even played DV2 over "Warlords of NY". In MY OPINION, the first is still the best. Specially for Survival. Few games real gives you the meaning of this word.
As someone whose played both games, I prefer the 1st game more and I restarted my character. I'm on PC and it's still going strong

Heyo. The Division 1 has in my opinion much much better gameplay. It feels much more rewarding, refreshing and earned if you manage to beat that one level on legendary solo. The global events dont suck and make it more fun to play. The different game modes make it more interesting and dont feel like doing the same thing all over again. Underground is a new maze everytime with new objectives. While Survival offers that timed challenge against players for loot or kill while battling against the AI and actually hunters that offer a challenge and cant be Scorpio shotgun cheesed. West side pears infinite defense mode. Last stand PVP. The overall story is much more ironed out and makes it fun to explore the open world. From Brooklyn to Manhattan. Learning all the stuff about peoples fates. The betrayal of other agents. Dismantling one faction after another. Unlocking west side pears. Then the Dark Zone. One big area that makes it fun to go into and hunt rogues or go rogue yourself. The feeling is different in the snow NYC. And is totally lost in Washington D.C.
I only played D1 when the game came out then stopped playing many years ago. Recently I was fed up with D2's crash issue then I playing D1 again.
It is a really good game but farming is more harder than D2.
Man I loved this game so much. The original extract shooter. Met so many fun people in the dark zone. Simpler times ❤️

I love division 2 it’s one of my favorite looter shooters of all time but there’s something about div 1 that keeps bringing back idk what that is maybe it’s the fact that I never got a full classified set or that I never got the house idk what it is but I love playing this game

I've never played Survival. By the time I got into the game my friends that played Div1 were playing Div2. Was hoping it would come to 2 but I may as well load it up and give it a go. :)

From someone who's spent 3k hrs in The Division... yes you should absolutely play it. I haven't played since 2018 or 2019 and I just recently came back. The game is still great and holds up extremely well.
I have clocked 3000+ hours on TD1 and I’m ready to return to NYC - I really miss all the poor souls rooming the streets and those who are sitting in the windows looking down on the streets or yelling at you - the NPCs gave the game something extra and I really miss this in TD2 - besides that TD1 is a GREAT game

a lot of people say the first game is dead for me there is no proof 'Ubisoft has never talked about this topic no one x explained to me that one day it will have paid DLC and content updates on the first game today no one day yes explained to me that they had server problems other things prefers to work on the division 2 and other future games but will not leave the first game aside there will surely have an external team I think that in the community there are people they have shit in their eyes when you do the last mission of the first game for me there is no end it shows that the game is not finished we still have skill points and I'm sure there are people who didn't even know that in the first game you can change the colors of the equipment just that the option is blocked and it's not just that too
Division 1 is far more entertaining than the second so much content and i spent more hours 24/7 to get everything solo every legendary missions underground is the best place to farm classified and exotic you can never get bored a change of pace you can say

I start the game in January 2024 action rpg fan and looter shooter fan for years i have about 3000 hours in Destiny 2 i stop playing it some years ago because bungie ruins everything good about it. After so many years throwing shit to ubisoft and criticized this ip as longtime Destiny fan i found it in a cut price for christmas 2.1€ for Gold edition i was thinking is like stealing something for that price and since then i have a blast the division 1 is very good game population is ok but you have to wait more in queue, the pvp has only weekend matches but the game is phenomenal so many different modes and things to do all fans of the gerne need to try this and the atmosphere is phenomenal beware in the DZ there are some hackers but overall the experince is great...

The survival mode alone is better than the entire Division 2. The atomosphere of the game is also much better.

Was I the straw that broke the camel's back? 😁Thanks for putting this video together. That was definitely my plan - to run through the story without worrying about some of the other aspects. I've watched many of the story videos, but it's obviously different if you play it yourself. Given that it looks like we'll have a few weeks of not much going on in TD2 once this current global event ends and before the next season starts, that's the perfect time to go and play a bit of the original.

I have over 5700 hours on this game, bloody love it. Recently got into division 2 after pre ordering it, not liking it turning my back on it for 4 years. 1st is is still my favourite though🤘

Division 1 rocks--both are good.
I only played Div 2 tried 1 in A free week. div just don't feel the same div 1 just has somthing.
Is there still even servers for the game? I tried last time and it was laggy af and it was terribly balanced on the PVE aspect, you can melt players but AI would feel like they are a completely different beast and they barely took any damage from me. The power creep on the latest equipment is also pretty insane.
