Shelf of Shame?? This game is 14yrs old. You must open it now and weep as your Space Marines fall in front of your very eyes!! I love this game, and much better solo too. Enjoy!
LOL!! Well, I did only acquire it 2 years ago. But yes, I really should've gotten this to the table sooner. I have it right in front of me and will be watching your video probably a few times as I prepare for my first (learning) game. Thanks for putting this video up!! @@NinjaGeekGames
Pretty solid playthrough, despite the mistakes (who you noted yourself), I enjoyed it. 22:43 - The Rule Of Thumb is that you should not use a support token to re-roll an attack against a single Genestealer but save the support token to re-roll a defense roll against it. The reason is that for attack there are 3 skulls so 50% chance to succeed an attack but against a single Genestealer you need to roll 2+ so 66% chance (dice is 0-5 not 1-6) to succeed a defense roll and with a re-roll the chance of surviving becomes really good. Of course in your case you risked an attack and succeeded which is great and the game is allowing us this Push Your Luck option which is always good and fun. I'm just saying what the safe approach would be based on simple math. Now time for some crucial lore for anyone interested: 14:06 - He is not a Chaplain. He is a Librarian (i.e. Psyker). And Lexicanium is no his name but his rank (the lowest rank in the Librarium). There are 4 Librarian Ranks: Lexicanium, Codicier, Epistolary and Chief Librarian. His name is Calistarius. At least this is his name at this timeline. But in the future he becomes someone and something else... The Blood Angels Chapter (of which these Space Marines are members) have two Gene Curses (Gene-seed flaws/defects). The Red Thirst and The Black Rage. Both are similar yet different. The Red Thirst is more of a physical condition that causes warriors to suffer an unusual bloodlust, instilling them with a thirst for the blood of their enemies (and sometimes of their allies). The Black Rage is more of a psychic condition that can cause them to go insane prior to or during a battle, and they believe that they are Sanguinius (their Primarch) himself during the Battle of Terra. When a Space Marine is overcome by the Black Rage he find himself in a world of anger, hatred, fury and nothing else. Rather than face a slow, insane death, Blood Angels will form those who have newly succumbed to the Black Rage into a special unit known as the Death Company. They paint their armour black, daubed with red crosses, signifying the wounds of Sanguinius, and are then sent out to perform the most dangerous assaults, hoping for a quick and honourable death in combat. The Black Rage in particular is irrevocable condition. But there are two exceptions: The First exception is Chaplain Lemartes who is the only Battle-brother to date who has managed to contain the Black Rage. He now serves as Guardian of the Lost, the Warden of the Death Company. The Second exception is Lexicanium Calistarius himself who didn't contained the Black Rage but is the only one who went deep into it and came back as something new. Rather than succumbing to it he managed to conquer it. By sheer strength of will he was able to suppress and hold in check the feelings of rage and the desire for blood, and in doing so he became something more. The mere Lexicanium Calistarius was reborn and changed his name to Mephiston, the Lord of Death. He elevated to Chief Librarian of the Blood Angels and one of the strongest psykers in the galaxy. The changes of his rebirth have affected Mephiston greatly. His powers have grown immensely, but there is also a downside. He has absorbed the Warp personification of the Black Rage, a Black Angel of pure rage and darkness. This creature is a dark fragment of Sanguinius's soul and vents its rage through Mephiston. Mephiston doesn't remember much of his earlier life as Calistarius and consider himself a new and different persona.
This is great! Yes, I can now see the benefits of when to use Support appropriately...however...this dice is cursed so never tell me the odds 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for the Lore. I like Warhammer but only played Blood Bowl/Space Hulk/Necromunda/Underworld etc. But fascinated by the lore, so this is really interesting...For the Emperor!!
Such a great game! ❤ SHDA
Agreed!!
Perfect timing. I literally pulled this off my shelf of shame just yesterday.

I like your dice tray. Where'd you get it?
It was part of Kickstarter Stretch Goals for Mercurial board game
16:38 I thought if the blip pile was empty you traveled asap
At the end of the current phase
Such a good game. It is a shame that we didn't get more GW inspired games while FFG had the license.
Agreed. I also have Forbidden Stars which is also excellent!
