Cambodia has come a long way since the civil was officially ended in 1998. The people had suffered so much and the families were torn apart. The country has been rebuilding within the last 20 years as most of the country infrastructure was destroyed from the prolonged war. I grew up in Phnom Penh way back in the 60s and most of them did not survive the genocide. Only memories live on as it seems just like yesterday. People have moved on with their lives and to look at the brighter future ahead. There are always pros and cons no matter where we live as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Have a wonderful trips. Peace from a genocide survivor ✌️

The Royal Palace of Cambodia was first built by King Ponhea Yat in 1434. Renovated and rebuilt for the second time by King Norodom in 1866 and demolished and rebuilt in 1913 by King Sisowath to this day, known as the Chaktomuk Mongkul Palace. The buildings inside the Royal Palace were built according to the traditional national architecture by Duke Tep Nimmith Mak, an outstanding Khmer architect. And all the temples in the Royal Palace are painted yellow to represent Buddhism and white to represent Hinduism.
Wow! Amazing information. Yes, I need to say that the architecture of the Real Palace of Cambodia is just breath-taking, so photogenic, so beautiful! I really love the khmer style
