I like the intention. If daddy issues are a dealbreaker for him then he def found a way to filter those kinds of women out. But I’m wondering if he would see it through and visit the tombstone of a father or make the trip to prison for the ladies whose fathers aren’t in their lives. Bc there’s levels to what he said 🤔😂
Past traumas are SO important as they can reflect in all of your relationships especially the romantic ones if you don’t address and commit to fix them.
Yes guys, religion, finances, childhood upbringing, careers and the list could go on is VERY IMPORTANT. Dating is for collecting data! Great discussion....♥️
Speaking of foreign… I think a great topic would be discussing the differences between dating others from different cultures and how to get over those differences
Y'all crushed this bros!! To shed more on the STD conversation just keeping it a bean, that talk should be had with every person you're sexually active with. Think of it like this, I would hate not to know who the girl I'm planning to be intimate with has had an std before and the timeline and what it was and then end up catching something from her because I didn't ask. Especially if I don't see myself with her in a relationship and then end up having to live with 1 bad decision the rest of my life. People just have to be mature about the conversations.
First of all this video just looks like it smells like GREAT and high quality cologne. Love the mature and grown perspectives! Can we unpack the comment Duke made about the ‘it’s not you it’s me’ situation. Love to understand more of the topic and what he meant. Do lines of loyalty get blurred when situations like that arise? Is it called settling prior to that situation? Was it never that deep? Love to hear opinions
it's not you its me is as simple as that, it can be because one has settled but also taking into consideration that as people we grow and evolve and if the situation doesn't work anymore for the person you trying to be or the best version of you that you working towards.. you have to leave.... but make sure the next person understands that they did nothing wrong
I’m not sure how I came across this podcast but I binged watch a few and I really like it. You all seem to be very mature and give an unbiased perspective on the topics you talk about.
Is it always the dream girl or could it also be the need to work on oneself and fear of being distracted? Also… I’m not introducing a man to my family until we are official and/or have been seeing eachother over a year. Some people-regardless of how long you’re spending time- aren’t worthy of meeting your family . I also like to know we’re actually in it for the long haul. That’s how important family is to me.
Thanks for recommending podcasts, as I'm always looking for new TH-cam podcasts to listen to as I go throughout my day! About to subscribe to MG Method. (Fyi I actually found this podcast bc I heard Duke on "Can You Relate", I started listening to Duke and Chanel's channel, then I think the algorithm might've recommended this podcast.)
It’s crazy cuz there’s more ppl who believe in God than there are ppl who practice believing in him (praying, fasting, communion, baptism, etc). Once I find out a guy doesn’t do both, I’m out. I would prefer my boo to be a Christian but I wouldn’t mind if he didn’t subscribe to a religion at all yet maintained a personal relationship with God (the same God as me 👀). I know a lot of ppl that don’t go to church but are spiritually rich. It’s possible. I wouldn’t commit to a relationship with a godless man just like Dr.Seuss wouldn’t eat green eggs and ham. I would not, could not, should not. Not here or there or anywhere 😭🙅🏾♀️
I was dating this guy and I met his family without being his girlfriend because they already know he’s with different girls so it’s a normal thing. He was African American. Personally he doesn’t need to meet my family until he’s my boyfriend. My family is Caribbean we don’t do that. My first boyfriend was white and I didn’t meet his family until we were official. So it depends
Y’all missed the most important question you need to know before getting into a relationship which is “What is your Genotype?” If you plan on having kids as a couple. That question either break or make a relationship from progressing forward. It is an important question to know.
1st off I enjoyed the podcast. 2nd I value a man's HONEST perspective not just what's politically correct. So hear me out... I'm gon' need these conversations to be held prior to you all having intercourse...don't come with all these ?s that were fake deal breakers AFTER the fact. Men aren't willing to have those "tough" conversations early on because they don't want to risk/jeopardize the chance to go all the way. LBH OR they're willing to LIE to get "there" especially if they don't see being with a female longterm.
I'm not going to watch the video I'll just answer the question of the title. It doesn't matter if a black man is successful or not are dating and mating should be with black women only. Just because you throw the word successful in it doesn't mean a damn thing. Rather a dog and a cat live on the street or in a house a cat mates with a cat and dogs stay with dogs. Black men need to stay with black women and that's just what it is. When you ask the question it suggests already that you've made a decision, and in my mind that's already betrayal of the culture. Part of what it means to be a man is to lead your people and your culture and your families by your actions your words and your example. The standard and one of the requisites to be called a black man is that you must be with a black woman. And if you are not then you are not a man. Specifically you're not a black man.
My only disappointment with this podcast so far. Looks like these are 50 50 guys. Ill love to hear from provider men. They wouldn't care about the finances a woman's femininity is more important.
Jalon is on point he really understands women, you can tell he genuinely likes and enjoys women. Sadly, that's rare.
It is rare for men to like women in this generation - modern society
I like the way Jalon thinks...”if I do not meet your Dad, we not going any further in the relationship...”
I like the intention. If daddy issues are a dealbreaker for him then he def found a way to filter those kinds of women out. But I’m wondering if he would see it through and visit the tombstone of a father or make the trip to prison for the ladies whose fathers aren’t in their lives. Bc there’s levels to what he said 🤔😂
You can meet the father in there still beef in there that you don’t know about so you have to dig deeper
JALON IS 🤘🤘💣💣💣💣💣
The men always supporting their women, I love to see it 😍
I need a Jalon in my life. He is so smart and mature. But Duke is an old soul.
Yes Omar and Duke doing the shameless plugs for the girlfriends brand. Love to see it. 👏🏾
It’s so refreshing listening to young ambitious men
Jalon: “I have no problem having uncomfortable conversation”
Me: “Same” lol
Speaking of foreign… I think a great topic would be discussing the differences between dating others from different cultures and how to get over those differences

Jalon that is real talk!!! Women want to connect with a problem first and foremost. Don't solve the problem right not just understand my feelings.
I love that these young men speak on the importance of meeting family and taking care of their family.
New listener and I like this podcast already! I love hearing black men’s perspectives!

I’m not sure how I came across this podcast but I binged watch a few and I really like it. You all seem to be very mature and give an unbiased perspective on the topics you talk about.
Love that Omar brought up health history! So important and people don’t talk about it. Especially if you want to have kids with the person.
The questions about std and health it’s super important. I need results before I get any type of sexual interaction.
Is it always the dream girl or could it also be the need to work on oneself and fear of being distracted?

I am starting to watch this podcast. And it’s really good.
Entertaining and informative - a male perspective is definitely a breath of fresh air
I love a good podcast to binge 🙌🏾 I was thinking this wouldn’t be targeted towards me as a woman but I’ve enjoyed these perspectives. Keep it coming
Omar was like wait you mean our girls would be calling you? Lol 🤔
The pod full of free game! Years of preparation to execute amazingly.

How old are they? They seem mature to look so young. Most guys in South Florida aren’t talking like this

😂 @body count question hahaha I don’t care!
Funny how they talk about the importance of God but then they think having sex outside of marriage is not only okay but normal. Very hypocritical.
