Wow, I’ve had my gx for almost two years now and you just opened new possibilities!!! You’ve made me get excited to play my gx again! Please any more videos will help a lot! Totally subscribed!!! Thanks!
Great video ! A lot of good tips ! I got my GX-100 just a week ago but have been using Boss gear since the 80´s and their modelers for almost 25 years. I agree that you really get very much for the money with the GX-100 and add to that the Boss quality, it may be fairly inexpensive but the build and the advanced functionality is top notch.
Great video. Very informative and helpful. I did not know that the GX 100 can be customized so deeply but in a rather easy way. Probably the only thing Japanese are not good in is labeling of operations and terms and writing manuals. So here is where your videos come really handy. Very good to follow the process of tweaking the GX 100 as you explain and demonstrate the used options in the assignments as you change them. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Oh that's what this is? Bank Extent 06:30. Thank you for that tip, I was struggling to figure out where to limit to just few banks. So useful and thanks for shout out as well.
Excellent video. Thank you for some really useful tips! I’ve had the GX100 for a few weeks now and it’s phenomenal… having used various modeller and amp combinations, this knocks them all out of the park. But honestly, you have saved me a lot of time in getting to the point where this is now my main rig. Thanks again for so much informative and helpful content.
Great video thank you very much!! I still have my old GT-5, so I was aware of the many assignment possibilities, but with the GX-100 you can do a ton more! Thanks for sharing all this info! Great unit, I´m loving it, great video series, is making me loving the unit even more! A must watch for any Boss floor multieffects owner!
on a side note, my only gripe is the excess noise interference i get. I have mine in 4 cable method and once I did that I'm picking 60hz noise hum, if I remove the cables all is good. I learned that's because the outputs aren't balanced. What I did to fix that is put a hum eliminator between the loop connections. I'm using Pyle PHE 400 which cleans it up, $24 at amazon.
Hi Tian! Congratulations on this excellent video. I recently bought a GX100 and it's exactly what I've been trying to learn about looping. I tried using just one foot/button for the loop (rec, play, dub, stop and clear), but I've been having difficulty playing this way, I think I'll have to use at least two footswith, right?
Thank you so much good sir! Could you please do a complete beginner tutorial on the gx 100? It would help Me along because I haven't found a whole lot of straight beginner information besides the small manual it came with. It would be greatly appreciated or if you could direct me to the info I'm looking for.
thank you, great knowledge about the gx-100 ! what did you do in the end of your intro playing? expression pedal is mapped to a delay parameter but not wah?
yeah, just for fun i assigned some modulation that sped up as i pedalled down as well as a whammy effect to pitch down at the same time.. probably not something I’d ever use live, it was just something i decided to add to the demo.
Hey thanks for the video! I just wanted to know if you knew if there's a way to clear the overdub and keep the main loop (the first recording). Thank you!
thanks! it makes everything more handy and your explanation is really clear I'm actually ditching the internal looper and I'm trying to chain on midi a beatbuddy for drums and a nux stereo looper but I'm still confused if it's better to have it connected in the return loop or to the outputs of gx100, I loose signal on both ways ever you tried to use external loopers and drum connected to the gx?
No i haven’t but the benefit of running it in the FX Loop is being able to change the position within the FX Chain. You shouldn’t be losing sound either way, just check that your Noise Suppressor isn’t crushing your sound too much.
great video , but just one question ::: does this GX100 include the pedals Boss SL2 slicer n the boss SY1 synthesizer inside ?? I will appreciate someone reply me =)
17:09 im on this trick but cant afford that the loop continues if i dont hit (just q little bit) the strings of my guitar to keep the signal on . I mean if y down the volume of my guitar or just let the strings without a touch the sounds disappears even with the loop on
Make sure that you don’t have your Noise Suppressor on, otherwise it will kill the sound coming out of the Looper. Once you’re happy with your sound then you can turn your Noise Suppressor on if you need it.
@@tianjay you are the man. Ill check it . Please dont stop making videos of the gx100. Ill suggest a comparison of other multieffects and the gx100. Even Fractal haha. But trying to make the same sound. With a mesa boogie for example. And we Can watch if lts so superior or not

Thanks!
Thank you for making learning easy and fun.
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed it

That’s handy for people to know! Yeah, for me, the GX100 would be almost perfect if it had XLR Outs.

Hi Luiz, yes, using the second switch makes all the difference

No, there’s no “Undo” function unfortunately
thanks! it makes everything more handy and your explanation is really clear

Boss recently released a new firmware that added the Slicer however it doesn’t contain a Synth block unfortunately
@tianjay thanjs a lot fir your reply.. new suscriber here
In the looper, are you able to display the length of the loop? Basically to know when it’s coming back around.
unfortunately not.. just gotta “feel it” 😜
@@tianjay thanks! I have had it for a week and seems I learn something new everyday!!
