Wow, Jack...I haven't heard you play before, but WOW what a pleasure! I am very impressed with this Boss offering. It seems that finally a company is sending a unit out with usable presets. Not all of us are into tweaking for days to get a usable tone. This one seems ready to gig with immediately. I am about to sell my Katana Artist and get this for my gigs. Dang!, I've never heard a modeler that reacts so dynamically to the pickin' hand. I'd been looking at the gt1000. Kinda bumped into an ad about this GX 100. Killer unit. I've been getting into more medium gain tones that clean up with light picking on my JCA tube amps and looks like this unit will do that just fine. Sweet playing also, brother! Kick ass demo. Only thing weird to me is a touch screen on a floor unit. At my age if I bend over to touch the screen I'd probably fall over! Peace.

These look great. I have always had problems programming multi efect units. That screen is the feature that makes this really good looking to me. The price is right as well. I love what I see.
What wonderful guitar playing. Sounds like fusion. You playing is pleasingly clean yet at times on the border of breakup, smooth, exacting, and similar to the tones from the likes of Eric Johnson. Unlike most that use such grotesque amounts of distortion in which I can not differentiate their sound between a chainsaw or standing next to someone being electrocuted. I been wracking my mind over getting either the GX100 - $829.00 CAD, or a used but older Fractal FXll for $1300.00 CAD. However, the more I watch reviews and demos on both, the GX seems to be more practical.
Inspiring and informative demo, thank you. There are so many modeller/multi FX units on the market these days that it's somewhat bamboozling, but this demo, and particularly the Steve Stevens 'Flesh for Fantasy' type tone at 11.58 was the clincher for me on this unit.

I'm just here to listen to Jack Gardiner play. I'm sure the product is great. I am still using the ME80 effects processor and I love it. I love all of BOSS's pedals and products because of sheer durability and variety. They have a pedal for everything.
I went with the Boss gx 100 and katana artist 100 Mkii combo. I set it up in the 4 cable method. So far, I haven’t touched any other rig I have.loving it so far

That Control button is a big space waster for me, my sound is based on patches in banks, I'll have lead sound on patch 2 for example and patch 3 might be the boost, I have zero need to have a boost ability for any of my clean or rhythm patches. The even bigger issue for me that I can see from here is that it also clutters up the screen, takes up additional space and just complicates the UI/Interface.

Should pop up there as one of the first few search results! Just hoping you don’t have to carry it up a few flights of stairs - it’s a heavy git haha! 🙏

Would be cool if you could do patches for all the common modellers. You’ve got your Neural ones that you actually use and now BOSS. Helix, AXE FX and Kemper would be fun additions. Probably an absolute ball ache to do though 😂
Jack, question on your Ibanez, since its single coils, is it super noisy? Would you ever consider trading your pickups for the fishman single coils that are noiseless?
Hey man! I’ve never really noticed crazy noise with my pickups in the Ibanez (except when I lived in a place with bad electricity). The Seymour’s they come with are great but I’m currently using something different at the minute and again no noticeable noise so far.
What model Ibanez is this one in the video ? Roasted maple neck ? What single coils do you prefer ? Ever use Lollar 64’s ? Evans single coils ? Custom shop Texas specials ? Generation 5 noiseless single coils ? Opinion on these….?
Yeah, it makes me think a GX 1000 is in the future and I was getting ready to replace my GT 100 with the GTK, now its confusing. That GX screen is awesome and the sound is spot on. But is another flagship coming in a year ?
Hi Chris. Considering the price point of these I’d say it’s very good value. I don’t know if it’d replace the Quad for me in the studio, but I’d happily gig with one of these units! Having the expression pedal on the board is a great bonus too.

The tuna on the gt1 lights up very easy to see. Also run on battery so don't need to run power cables . But any way good video

I know you can down tune but drop tune I don't know if it can be done yet. You can with the Helix but you need the Shuriken (line 6 midi guitar)
