Wow, this was a trip down memory lane. My first modern Transformer was Classics Mirage, and it was a gift from my wife before we were married. I've got most of the figures on this list and I agree that they are awesome toys!
I'm picking one of my favorite deluxe's from my collection. I love the look, transforming, and the posing of Spinister. I just heard you mention him as I was writing this.
Siege sideswipe definitely feels like a definitive example of simple but effective transformers engineering. If they gave it wrist swivels it would be the pinnacle
Purely going off the deluxe class figures I own, my top 10 probably looks something like this. Some of these even make my top 10 of all time. 1 - Henkei Astrotrain 2 - Takara LG Misfire 3 - Studio Series Dropkick (Helicopter) 4 - Titans Return Triggerhappy 5 - Siege Spinister 6 - Takara DOTM Que 7 - Henkei Mirage 8 - HFTD Deluxe Ironhide 9 - Earthise Punch/Counterpunch 10 - ROTF Deluxe Jolt (the original one)
It is hard to imagine how did they fit the part count of Battle Blade Bumblebee into a deluxe price point. Like, how, by just a rough count, it got over 80 pieces to build which is almost twice the part count of a current deluxe. Comparing it to other deluxes at that time, it’s still a lot more
Hey J4 I’m glad that I have that Classics Mirage. And hopefully you’ll do a review on that MPM 12 Optimus Prime. Because it’s a really good figure that deserve to be showed bynyou
"no warrior class figures"
oh...
"warrior class will get its own video"
OH??
Thrustinator is one of my favorite deluxe class transformers
I love these types of videos

The Studio Series WWII Hot Rod is still a favorite of mine! I can’t help but love the military vehicle alts (Landmine, Starscream, Hot Rod, etc)
