i was journaling because i was too stressed and anxious & found that , my 99% of thoughts are negative and full of self hate ! this line “ Your perception of you - is you” is soo true. i am actually attracting negative situations in my life and then ranting about it , thanks anna for sharing this !

For me, this blew my mind: if no-one on earth is thinking about something, IT DOESN'T EXIST.
So like, remembering bad situations from the past that everyone else already forgot -- that is us using our perception to literally keep that situation in existence. And without it, it would FALL OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH.
    Great topic 👌

I've been following you since your exchange in highschool, and seeing your growth is truly incredible! Your way of talking is beautiful. Hearing that you also suffered from social anxiety makes me feel less alone, and as I really look up to you this makes me really motivated to work through that again :)) thank you for sharing your perspectives

I've had social anxiety for years and it's only getting worse, but a week ago, I decided that I'm going to work on it and other issues that I have. And ever since then, I keep getting recomendations of these types of videos relating to my struggles. I think it's God encouraging me and telling me that everything is going to be ok. And I can already see myself improving. I haven't watched your channel in a while and the other day, I thought about it, so I went to your page and saw the social anxiety video. How crazy? Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. I really needed to hear this

Honestly perception is everything, when was a teenager I was a very mean person, and I told myself I was a mean person so my negative thoughts and actions to do with others were justified.
When I hit my 20's a switch was flipped and I thought I couldnt keep thinking of others around me so negatively, everytime I found myself thinking something bad about someone I would correct it and think something positive. Over the years I've just being doing it unconsciously to the point that I will correct other people around me when they judge someone, or make an unjustified mean comment.
My coworker was talking to me a few weeks back about how good the team we work with is, and how she genuinely doesn't think there is any mean ppl on our team, everyone gets along and there's no talking behind anyones back, for a second I thought " she doesn't know how mean I actually am" then I pause and really thought about it, I haven't been mean/had mean thoughts in more than a decade
Just a small change in thinking changed so much of my mindset and I only realised that after that talk with my coworker lol

Anna you're a gem to the world and I find it funny how you said you think of yourself as a weird, uninteresting and other negative words as a person to date lol literally you're like wayyy to wifey material ong especially at this day and age your breed is rare tbh but anyways big ups to this video and much love to the contents you create < 3

Love this mindset. This is basically how I allowed myself to start my TH-cam channel. I just believed I was capable and then it was like the last 15 years of thinking I wasn't capable just disappeared. I went into it telling all my friends and family without fear. It's so useful.

I do understand every single word that was being told in this video. I love to speculate about this topic of perception, and I do hope people in the future will know it better, cuz that is the essential thing you have to learn to control your reality and the things you wanna receive. Thx for this video. I want to warn you about the energy in Bali, there are the strongest vibrations on the planet, so our desires, plans, and thoughts come true more quickly than in other parts of the world, so draw your attention to it and be careful. Bali is the best place for spiritual development and growth, I am so happy you have a chance to experience this, love u.

It's crazy, because I've been thinking about this a lot recently, particularly in terms of performance and outcomes. For example, if you're out walking and it's muddy or icy and you get scared you're going to slip, then you probably will. But if you tell yourself you'll be fine, then likely won't fall. I started ballet a couple of years ago, and I'm always quite unsure of myself, so I lose balance often, and I have this perception that my memory is bad so I can't remember the positions. However, I've started "getting into character" in class and telling myself that I am a ballet dancer - I lift my chin instead of focusing on my feet and arms, and "perform" for my imaginary audience. And guess what - I'm so much more stable and the movements just come way more easily and I feel relaxed when I dance. Mindset is so incredibly powerful!

It's kind of a Stoic thought. You can't fully control what happens outside of the world, but you have the power to take the lead and understand what you feel and how to perceive that. So, it's very important how you talk to yourself. One of my favorite writers, Jordan Peterson, has a very interesting rule in his book 12 Rules for Life called "Treat yourself like someone you are responsible for helping", If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it.
    Thanks for the video, Ana!

What i usually tell myself anytime anxiety or fear wants to stop me from doing something i want
Is that we all are going to die anyways so i might as well live
Some people take it like it will make one make bad decision
But it just helps you get out of your comfort zone

Watching your video made think about the way that I see living abroad as something that is unreachable to me. So honestly, even though I don't have anything figured out yet, I'm gonna get my passport done. I've been procrastinating that for so long, but I know things will go well.

Hi, one Question... how did you change your overthinking about driving a motorbike? Because I am in a very similar Situation and a huge overthinker. I mean the other examples (going on a date, going to the dance) that you gave are solvable because they aren't really dangerous. But how do you stop thinking about actual dangerous situations that might occur? I just cant control my thoughts and now i'm scared to attract it. You were talking about changing your thought, but change into what? Maybe I just dont get something...
