For anyone wondering about Kyle's Canadian mother "Why won't you talk to me?" bit at 12:16, it's a joke that's carried over from his streams. He was trying to figure out some vague memory about the scene in question and couldn't remember where it came from. In "Cracking Digimon Packs & Alan Wake II - Part 3", you can see that happen at 2:20:54. Turns out it came from an animated special called The Last Camping Trip, which was based on Lynn Johnston's For Better or For Worse comic strip. Later on in the same stream (4:59:03), he had to mute Eminem's Lose Yourself and tried to recite the lyrics from memory. Come next stream (Alan Wake II - Part 4), someone mashed-up the two, with a little Diddy Kong from the Donkey Kong Country cartoon. (21:02) Here's hoping this continues to make appearances in future Bosman productions.
Thank you, I was wondering why he was specific about the mother being Canadian. Also holy shit, memory unlocked. I remember For Better or For Worse being a big deal up here back in the day.
@@thaneros lol kyle always puts on his "radio personality" self when in front of the camera, but this is still him and his thoughts. But poposterous was just making the joke of what the indianajones dev said "you aren't just playing indiana jones, you ARE indiana jones"
I applaud their format at the very least. It was a snappy, what, 48 minutes or something less than an hour? There's no bs VR game montage or "The Toys are Back in Town" narrators. It's all cleanly presented and flows from developer to developer. Bravo on that front Microsoft.
The standard you have for an Indiana Jones game has me a bit perplexed. It’s as if this is a reboot to a long running beloved video game franchise that must evolve to survive or something. It isn’t though. It’s the first time we’re playing as-excuse me, becoming-Indy, at least in the era of 3D action/adventure games. I’m okay if they just focus on getting the basics right. They can reinvent in the next game or the one after that. The new Spider-Man games didn’t reinvent Spider-Man in any spectacular way - they just did it a level we had never seen or felt before and I love it for that. Maybe the issue is more that Uncharted and Tomb Raider already fills that need? Idk. Either way, great video! Always love your stuff!
14:04 in the back of my mind there is that place where the "Now that's what I call music" commercials are burned in, and from there a dulcet tone echos out "but he means nothing to you and you don't know why"
that after credits sequence came dangerously close to a dramatic reading of everything you want by vertical horizon, and for that alone you deserve a like
As a massive Indiana Jones dork I love when it surprises still. I love new weird stuff. The ending of Dial of Destiny is such a odd off the wall thing and I LOVED IT. I will acknowledge though, yeah generally most people are not as open to new things.
That was one of if not the best end cards yet, holy hell! I was just watching you live before i went to sleep, where did you pull that unhinged bit out of so fast???
honestly, my heart goes out to Obsidian. It feels like they were 3/4 of the way done with making Great Value Skyrim when they were asked to shoehorn Great Value Baldurs Gate 3 into the mix as well.
I'm pretty sure the "You don't only play as Indiana Jones, you ARE Indiana Jones" slogan is just a way to sell their decision to make it 1st person instead of 3rd person. "This is the only way to truly make you feel like Indy, and to be truly immersed in the game". Which is bullshit of course, but I guess they have to sell it somehow.
Exactly this. It's 1st person so you "really are" him. Except we also want to show him to you, so in traversal or in cutscenes you're not him, because you want to see Indy. Just that phrase made it so weird
I admit, I was surprised Indy is first person and not third. But given Machine Games' history, I guess it shouldn't be a suprise. I thought it looked solid. It seems like this could be a pretty good franchise for Xbox despite the recent movie not doing well commercially. There's so much nostalgia for Indy.
That’s always been Ninja’s mission statement, they’ve always said things like that in their developer diaries since before Xbox, they’re sincere about it, and segments like the audio director talking really was unscripted. But I do get that kind of sanitized vibe from most of these, where it feels more like Xbox creating an image rather than a genuine peek behind curtains or a true conversation with devs. It’s not like the GoW/TLOU documentaries showing all the struggles and genuine day to day processes/conversations.
When it comes to the Indy game I have way more faith in MachineGames than Microsoft and Todd, to be really honest if it does well it's because of those developers not the marketting force because those Wolfenstein games were really great single player FPS games and that team did a great job with their story presentation and those character moments really work well in first person scenes.
I thought this was a great show. True what you said about Avowed, I just know I’m gonna like it because of Obsidian. This made me want to care about Indy when I didn’t before. And most importantly for me was seeing Xbox and Square cozying up together. It’s been hard being an Xbox player who loves JRPGs so it was a hell of a surprise. I’d probably have the same reaction if I watched a PlayStation showcase or state of play cuz I don’t care about that platform. I’m stoked for Rebirth though. Fair takes in the video though and we can all have a good laugh. I guess a lot of people felt it was PR speak, which it was, but I mean yeah. They sent film crews out and produced the hell out of this. Were people wanting a zoom call? I liked the deep dives and seeing gameplay. Glad you appreciated the format though Kyle
I think Kyle can just see through the PR stuff with Microsoft. There's a certain way they like to act for the consumer that makes the consumer think the mega corporation is their friend. Sony and Nintendo don't do this but have the most success. Let me tell you how, you see Microsoft is cozying up to Square to appease the fans that think Square hates Microsoft. When in reality Square skips the platform sometimes cos of potential sales and sometimes Microsoft is to blame. Them brining FF14 to Xbox was something they should have done a long time ago and it was Microsoft that was at fault. Not Square. As for the relationship between Sony and Square, you see it in reality. Nobody needs to ask even tho Square still makes games that skip Playstation sometimes. Sony adapts all of Square's franchises into anime and movies. FF7 Advent Children, FF15 Kingslaive, Nier Automata, FF7 the last soldier etc were all produced/adapted by Sony. And Sony has bailed them mutliple times in the past also and gives them money for exclusives and funding. They also have a good relationship with Nintendo as well. Just found it odd that people blamed Square when the problem has been Microsoft all along. They have always been willing to work with them.
@@dammyoyesanya4656 oh yeah totally for almost everything you said. This is just an entirely different format. The Square stuff, look at what Xbox has done for Sega. Skyrocketing Yakuza because people were able to try it on a new platform where it was an exclusive by omission. Hopefully the same will happen with Persona. The new Square CEO seems to get that the more people playing will result in more sales. Even if the 1st few don't meet expectations, they HAVE to keep trying because the customer base isn't used to it. Look at Sony and them trying live-service games where Xbox has an advantage. All I know is I'm happy about this corporate romance. No matter how cynical everyone else is

thank you so much, Context Man. very good job
You should start a Bosmapedia!
Well said
And he wonders why we insist on staying caught up on his streams…
He isn't just playing Kyle Bosman on the internet, he IS Kyle Bosman. Truly a next-level channel.
No really is Kyle playing an over exaggerated version of himself in this series? I don't know and have been wondering for months.
The commitment to the bit is impressive

@@NinjiMaster I remember Kyle from The Final Boseman on Game Trailers having a different personality than the Kyle here.
The car horn came in at absolutely the perfect time.
It was amazing!
It always does
Honestly surprised Kyle managed to do the whole outro bit without breaking character and laughing, I guess he REALLY became Indiana Jones...
I think he's gone
And almost without blinking 👀
But he means nothing to me and I don't know why.
I was half expecting him to say "I get to date underage girls"
There is no more Kyle. Just Indiana fucking Jones.
"I GET ALL THE KISSES" - Indiana Jones, 2024
Great episode as always Indy
One of the best episodes to date. Well paced, funny, insightful takes, and an outro I'll be thinking about all day.
Really impressed with Todd Howard's vision for this week's episode of Delayed Input. Great job Todd!
Kyle quoting a Vertical Horizon song in that final rant is Everything I Want and Everything I Need.
His alt-rock references give me life.
I came here to see if anyone else caught that lmao. Good shit Bossy.
that song was a banger
He's a god, I just thought I'd let him know
Bro watched, wrote the script, recorded, edited and published the episode in less than 24h. Crazy
Kyle is just so in tune with the industry that he could record it in advance
Well timed input
All while apparently on vacation in Aspen no less.
I think he just speaks extemporaneously
Best in the biz
the ending made me lose it im consistently amazed at how funny you are every single episode after so many years
That may have been the best horn placement of the whole year, cannot top that
I AM INDY. I GET THE KISSES.
I applaud their format at the very least. It was a snappy, what, 48 minutes or something less than an hour? There's no bs VR game montage or "The Toys are Back in Town" narrators. It's all cleanly presented and flows from developer to developer. Bravo on that front Microsoft.
“Worst good job”- next-level game commentary from Kyle as usual. No one does it more creatively, or more hilariously.
I wish you to get your first 100K subscribers this year. Been following since "The last Bosman - Episode 1".
I am glad the Mana series will finally arrive at Xbox, so more people can give it a try!

Since only one honk is allowed per video, I'll just play a second one at the very end in my head
Kyle looks much better than the last 2 videos. Good old Kyle Bosman Action. Good job 🔥🙌
I couldn‘t believe my eyes, that the real Indiana Jones was part of this episode. Mind bending
I quite like how Kyle approaches to this direct. He just want devs to back up what they promised with actual things.
14:04 in the back of my mind there is that place where the "Now that's what I call music" commercials are burned in, and from there a dulcet tone echos out "but he means nothing to you and you don't know why"
I picked it out immediately lol😅 Bosman is nuts.
Typically unhinged outro. Haha ... I appreciate that 😅
Just utterly brilliant, as always! Perfectly placed horn again too…
that after credits sequence came dangerously close to a dramatic reading of everything you want by vertical horizon, and for that alone you deserve a like
That was a really cool rundown. I'll be tuning into your show more often! Thank you for making it.
That end bit was the funniest thing I’ve ever watched on TH-cam. No hyperbole.
As a massive Indiana Jones dork I love when it surprises still. I love new weird stuff. The ending of Dial of Destiny is such a odd off the wall thing and I LOVED IT. I will acknowledge though, yeah generally most people are not as open to new things.
Same, genuinely liked Crystal Skull, I don't mind when Indiana Jones gets goofy and weird! (Still need to watch Dial of Destiny)
Thank you for making it.
*Good job, Kyle.*
"I get the Kisses" should be a Bosman Shirt
Crushing the competition
That was one of if not the best end cards yet, holy hell! I was just watching you live before i went to sleep, where did you pull that unhinged bit out of so fast???
While watching the direct all I thought about with all the games (even Indy) was: Bless your heart
One of the best bonus bits in a while.
The early 2000s rock lyrics are what keep me coming back. I absolutely love them.
Considering the ending here, It’s crazy that his parents watch every one of these.
Has Kyle been watching The Curse with that outro bit?
He absolutely has. I immediately thought he was channeling Nathan Fielder and then the screen started to distort, lol.
Omg, that horn placement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kyle, you had one job! Your show called 'Delayed input', not "Fairly rapid input". I can't keep up
That might be the best ending bit
Pure gold, GameTrailers back in the days level 💎
That ending was amazing.
I wasn't ready for such an early Delayed Imput
Inspired ending lol. I thought the Avowed presentation was underwhelming
honestly, my heart goes out to Obsidian. It feels like they were 3/4 of the way done with making Great Value Skyrim when they were asked to shoehorn Great Value Baldurs Gate 3 into the mix as well.
More like "On time Input" lol love you Bosman ❤
Kyle man, you are just too fkn amazing.
Can't wait to see your video on the upcoming PS Direct
Best bonus bit of the year and we aren't even done with January
Kyle! You continue to put out solid gold!!!
Highlight of my week.
Chill episode Kyle, enjoyed your candid opinion of life at the end. We are who we are and who we make ourselves be.
Oh yeah. When I see Lyle Boston uploading his famous movie takes, I know...
it's Wednesday baby!
Fantastic episode! Finished off with the best post-credit of the series!
The punchline on the post credits: immaculate. Another great ep
Pack it up everybody. This ending bit is the best of 2024. Callin it now.
At least the Indy game looks like some decently fun 15 hours and not another open world monster

Those were my thoughts yeah. Wouldn't be surprised it Kyle kinda knew this but made a genius bit instead
1st person was the right choice. Dont care if it pisses off people who just wanted an uncharted clone lol

Absolutely top tier Indiana Jones impression
Ending raised my actual heart rate
I love the Marty McFly vests!

Did I just watch the Nine Days reference digivolve into a Vertical Horizon reference at the bonus bit there? Is no late 90s alternative band safe?
