Wow your attention to detail is impressive I believe even “the car care nut” would be impressed with your work.
Major win for all us to have this series you put together. Thanks man!
Gotta love the 2UZ I had my Timing Belt done at 181K as well and also overhauled the cooling and radiator system while at it as well. I recently dumped more money into it replaced the CV axles, wheel bearings, lower control arms, sway bars and upgraded to Bilstein 5100 all 4 corners and actually lifted her 1.75 front a teeny bit squat but made the truck much more aggressive looking and stance as well
Would like to point out a few things. Your attention to detail and proper procedures are awesome. It shows that doing so WORKS. Shortcuts don't serve anyone. Do it right; do it once. Wow are we (Dad) lucky for all the time working on this. You (seem) to do it most alone and in silence (for the video). My buddies/friends ask why I don't have more videos of everything I do. I am ALWAYS listening to something, often podcasts. I guess I could do it silently and over-record. Let me think about that. Uh no.. LOL. 2 WEEKS FOR SHIMS!? Oh my! And those reminded me of my youth and shims for the valves in my Cosworth Vega. Oh the memories. Great job! Appreciate your fine work!
Awesome work Peter. Amazing that engine has over 200k yet looks to be in excellent shape.
Great vids brother. WE WANT MOOOOREEEEEEEE
fantastic as always
awesome videos man. no bs, just straight goodness.
great job! I always learn something from your videos
Fantastic video + editing, very detailed ...... loved it.
great video
This is amazing work thank you so much for making this video with great detail! One note-I’m surprised you don’t use your power ratchet more.
Total respect for your knowledge and skills 👍
Nice!

I'm impressed, pretty thural
Thank you 😊 God bless your TH-cam and family 😊
Honestly have always liked this and the equivalent Toyota platform...I have neither vehicle, but I still enjoy watching the thorough work you do
You would want to check the starter on these, either rebuild em or replace them. They're under the intake plenum and can be a pita when they go out.
After watching all videos so far, I feel like I took a mechanic tech course. Very impressive work and attention to details reminds of the Japanese mechanics videos!
