My grandmother entered into a marriage at twelve years old. Her father had died leaving behind small children, her mother couldn't afford to take care of them all. So she basically gave her to this 40 + year old man who had lost his wife,and had children older than his new bride. They had three daughters,one died in infancy. She left the marriage after he found another woman. He put her out, I don't know where she went, maybe back home since she was now grown. He kept the kids. They were told she died. She was never allowed back to see them. When they became adults they found out they had been lied to. They hunted her up,she was living us. She had remarried an had one daughter,my mom. She was older when she married again.She was pregnant going thru menopause. I remember when Adele an Eva came that day. They asked if A Miss Bell lived here.Momma went and got granny,she knew immediately who they were,tho it had been thirty years or more.Granny was so happy to see them. They formed a good relationship. Sadly Adele was killed shortly after in a car wreck, Eva died with ovarian cancer. She lived to be age 102. Momma took care of her fir many years. Mostly, I think society in general was shocked that a woman could/would sexually abuse a child. I think this movie shows her side as he pursued her like a man but the viewer is given enough of the rational to accept this as a sad story about a predator who hasn’t gotten over her self view of being a victim. I think it happens a lot. Predators don’t see themselves as evil.

I remember seeing an interview with them a few years ago and he REALLY looked like he was tired of her. I think it was hot when he was a kid. But when he was grown I think he was like "I can't believe I got stuck with this broad". I could not imagine how someone could work with a 5th grader, and a few years later be screwing him 3. They asked if A Miss Bell lived here.Momma went and got granny,she knew immediately who they were,tho it had been thirty years or more.Granny was so happy to see them. I think this movie shows her side as he pursued her like a man but the viewer is given enough of the rational to accept this as a sad story about a predator who hasn’t gotten over her self view of being a victim. I think it happens a lot. Predators don’t see themselves as evil.

I remember seeing an interview with them a few years ago and he REALLY looked like he was tired of her. I think it was hot when he was a kid. But when he was grown I think he was like "I can't believe I got stuck with this broad". They also asked them if they would approve if one of their children had a relationship with an adult and he absolutely would not. I think he realized he was still a relatively young man now stuck with an older woman who wasn't quite as dazzling as he thought she was when he was a kid.
