YES I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! I used to watch Lifetime all day. Especially when I was home from school on bed rest while pregnant, or just plain old sick! They were very emotional. But they opened up my eyes about a lot of things especially toxic relationships, and teenage pregnancies. They got to you to your core!! I TRULY wish they would come back with movies like this again!!!!

My mom and I were incredibly close. She made me feel like I could go to her with anything and everything, and I did.
She even told me once, “There are some things I *don’t* need to know.” 🤣🤣🤣 I cracked up laughing…and so did she. I held nothing back from her. She passed away unexpectedly when I was 21; she was 55. I miss her so much. She was an AMAZING mom, and I wish all daughters could be as open with their moms as I was with mine.

We had a coach like this. He'd mess around with the cheerleaders and he did it for 20+ years. He started teaching Drivers Education a few years before I started High School, I had heard the rumors but didn't think he'd ever bother me. During DE, you have a partner, the last day my partner was absent, as we finished the last day I excitedly asked "Did I pass!?" He reached over & rubbed my leg & replied "I don't know, Did you?".. I was frozen, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I pulled into the school parking lot & started walking home. The next day he handed me a slip saying I had failed my Drivers Ed course. When I got home my mom asked if I was ready to go get my license, I showed her the slip & she said "You've had all 100%,how could you have failed" i told her what happened... that night she told my dad. My dad had went to school with him & knew about his reputation.... when we told the school what had happened, he denied everything, said the fail slip was an accident and passed me. Several years later he was officially busted!!!!

I think this movie has been highly underestimated for quite a long time. It touches a very sensitive subject that nowadays has become a great concern about children abuse and molesting. I wish we could actually watch it often in TV, as it is indeed very educational both for parents, children and teens.
Gary Cole is definitely a great brilliant actor! He managed to make me hate him before the first 5 minutes into the film! Calling her explosives and saying she's a liar or dressing like a whor3😩😩😩😭😭 soy he is still the principal today 😭😩😩😩😩
But my mother hated sending her daughters to public school, she ended up homeschooling us, and who could blame her, seriously? When I was in 4th grade and had a male teacher, she freaked out when she saw the lttl closet area with the phone inside of the class room, because her own a user(teacher) would hide her in the closet so nobody would are her.

My maths teacher did pretty much same to me in highschool in Scotland. Offered free tuition to prepare for my A Levels. Not a maths question in sight at his home. Ran home, told no one. Went to school on the Monday and he pulled me out the class infront of all my classmates, accused me of cheating on my Algebra exam! I was great at Algebra. I should have reported him. He even called my house. Jeez! Looking back, I should have thumped him with by badmington raquete. He was my coach too. Vile.

When I was in high school my psychology teacher showed up at my house to see me one night. Just to talk. I was shocked. I stood outside and talked because I knew my Dad would have a fit. When I went inside after he left my Dad asked who that was and I told him. He was livid. Shortly after that the teacher was fired. When I asked the other students if any one knew why, they said they heard a parent complained about inappropriate behavior toward their kid. All the students were mad and wanted to know who the student was. I was afraid my Dad was the one who called the school which was the kind of Dad he was! I never asked because I didn’t want to know. This was back in 1978. The teacher was very popular with the students but that was way over the line.

There were already rumors circling about him at school, about his advances towards other female students and he would purposefully ask them to stay after class and then when they missed their bus, he would drive them home, it wasn't a one time and isolated incident. He would also find the Simpsons episodes of the big breasted beer girl, literally just those. And the first time that he leaned back in his chair, his head bounced off my rear, that was the last and only time because I figured out a way to walk around him.

That was one of the most well-acted dramas I've ever seen. Most are over-acted and gushing with performances too phony to believe. This is the first time I've seen Nicholle Tom, and if she really were a teenager when this was filmed, she did a phenomenal job.

@@gaillessard2786 I was wondering how old she was too, even tho they are just acting, the thought of an older man doing this with a real 15 year old eek! I know it happens in real life tho, unfortunately! Did his wife really stay with him after this?? If so, she's just as sick!

Wow, First time watching this film and I can gladly say that no woman should ever have to go through being sexually molested. We as people of society know that someone who is being sexually molested is a major crime. The quote at the end of this film stating "Its about abuse of power" has so much meaning because if its being happened, it needs to be talked about, someone needs to say something. I am so glad Amy finally said something to her mom towards the end because I can tell at some parts that Amy did not feel comfortable and she wanted to say something at some parts of the film and she did not want to as well. This was a great film that I came across youtube.

If we were to point fingers, I'd say the parents and the school are also to blame in Amy's case. The coach is a real jerk. He should be chained in jail for years. The way he deceives both his wife and Amy's parents taking her out to his house to get a chance to seduce her is heartlessly inhuman. He does not deserve to be a father.

Horrors!! His conduct!!! As a retired educator, I can see this coach has lost his mind!! Writing notes to minors, kissing a minor and then buying wine coolers would land you in the slammer soooo fast you wouldn’t even face time to remember losing your license and ruining your life!!!

How could teachers ,fellow students and principal have ignored all the rumours and inappropriate behaviour. The principal should have got a jail term for ignoring the repirts of concerned people.
All parents MUST warn their young children about inappropriate behaviour by teachers, seniors, pastors etc.
The girl 'amy' acted well and convincingly. All parents should see this movie.
