The laser that splits enemies is also directly functional outside of the shrink effect too, you had a talent for the gumballs that on kill you would have a chance to boost attack speed for the rest of the wave, by duplicating enemies with all the pierce and explosions you would also ramp up more/faster. Obviously it wasn't needed, you thrashed them plenty fine, but it gives a cool opportunity for gambit plays, especially at higher mastery levels where it is harder
"Even a pierced shot kills a bat" A metaphor meaning something done in malice can hurt bystanders. "Did you hear John's speech last night? He went really hard on the sales team but Lyda from HR started crying." "Well, even a pierced shot kills a bat, she's been pretty timid sense the accident."
You *are* a big channel to me, your playthroughs are always fun and I love that you add incredibly insightful tips at the end (in addition to throughout the video) on what could be improved. I always recommend your channel to other devs because of that. I hope your channel grows even bigger, you deserve it.
Holy Talent Tree Batman!! I'm glad you checked this one out! I've been enjoying it. I love the weird depth of exploring the talent trees and trying to find a path. Its like a mini game unto itself. There's so much content in this one so far and they're not even at 1.0 yet. I would like an endless mode just for trying to fill out the massive tree and seeing what that was like. This would make a great limited series to showcase what the classes are like and to see how brutal some of the later mastery levels can be. Wizard class for life!
This looks great for 2 dollars, I'll probably buy it immediately and hope it has or gets good controller support xD would love to see more runs from you ❤
i would love to see 2 or 3 more videos on this my only concern with this game is I will run into the same issue I did with forward: escape the fold where it feels like the run ends just as its starting to get interesting
Just bought it! Wouldn’t mind another couple vids. The randomized tree system is what really adds that extra factor. Imagine this game with a standard skill tree… it just wouldn’t hit the same. On top of that… the fog and discovering all the different talents and skills makes it fun too. Without the fog it loses something as well.
Me: "Wow; this looks really interesting. Simple gameplay, but a talent tree that's random? That could really be interesting, but I've got so much already..." Reto: "It's $2 right now!" Me: "..." *Opens Steam, purchases*
Great vid. I started watching your from you enter the gungeon vids a couple weeks ago(also found you from Olexa's channel) and have been enjoying your content. The top path was the shortest with 4 blocks from you to the gate and the bottom one was 5 blocks. This game looks really fun and the random talent tree is a unique idea.
I personally want to see more of this. Each like and comment underneath and added to this thread is proof that this is the sauce. you should enjoy its savory flavor.
I don't think this is going to make a great series just because the gameplay is kind of stale from a view perspective, but I did wanna say this is one of the best roguelites I've played this year - For $2 it's an absolute steal. Each of the five classes feels very, very, VERY different, they have a lot of completely unique talents, and there's several distinct builds, with each run getting a random subset of unlocked talents in the tree so you don't get too bored. Also the mastery system is really fun, with some of the masteries adding more enemies to give more EXP so as you go up in difficulty you also get stronger and stronger, it doesn't JUST feel like 20 levels of the game punching you in the dick. I gotta say for $2 this is absolutely insane value.
So, since the lanes aren't the same, how about the ground shakes at the start of a night, and the center tile randomly moves, along with the character? Great video as always.
So you DO like meta-progression, like character unlocks and the like. Just not the kind that forces you to get 2% stronger between runs till you eventually get powerful enough to finish one, which is understandable ^^
Yes 100% when I say metaprog sucks I am talking about the boring sloggy "gain 1% max HP every time you die until it is impossible to lose" nonsense. It ruins so many games.
I like the idea behind a mixed up talent tree, but I feel the limited gameplay saps a little of the novelty from it. Weirdly enough I think that would be a better fit for a mission style beat em up type game, that way you could still make slower builds work.
Reto. I’d like to see a few more videos on this but that’s only if you like this game too.

Honestly, the game is pretty fun to play and watch, but the way you play it makes it look like it's very easy, which it's not really, it takes good decision making and some good rhytm game skills to make it work every time insted of relying on good skill tree ) I actually failed my first 2 runs with archer and had to go for absolutely busted orbital build to mitigate my lack of skills
watched you get to the first talent tree paused went bought it played 2 runs (yes died on first) there is so much more on archer alone you didnt see and vice versa like i never got the ghosts and trees and there is at least 1 you didnt get
That's the only thing it's referencing yep nothing else it certainly couldn't be a convergent reference to the same thing warcraft is referencing Because there is nothing that it could reference
I'm certain everyone is aware it, in-turn, references the One Ring in the Lord of the Rings, which some argue references Sin in Christianity, which .. etc. etc. I was just pointing out it uses the exact text and tooltip as the one in World of Warcraft.
I'd love to see more runs, at least to show off some of the other classes so we can see in what way they're different

Looks like a game I wish I had back in the days of GameBoy
I'd probably be good on a phone.

Id love to see more videos of this. Gotta support the hell out of games (and youtubers) like this so bring it on man!
Truly the embodiment of "Random BS Go!"
ahah looool
Would definitely like to see more runs of this game with the other characters.

Going into this I thought there was no way this would be worth a series; but by the end I feel like I'd watch several episodes of this.
This game looks so sick, I'd love more of this, it looks like there a really good amount of content here, even for an early access
I'm so glad you picked this up Mr. mation. I hope you play through for a while yet. I'll certainly watch.
I personally want to see more of this. Each like and comment underneath and added to this thread is proof that this is the sauce. you should enjoy its savory flavor.
@QHULLETT Yes he's right such a smart guy reto is so creative and insightful that he'll surely break this game apart
Smells like a new future series to me, bud. I could watch you get excited about different skill trees for hours 😅
i bought the game the moment you said random talent tree not kidding. I played a run and man the games intensity kicks uppppppp

Would 100% love to see more of this!
More please. It looks amazing
would definitely be fun to see at least a few more vids of this
Randomized skill trees?
Ooioooh, interesting concept.
Just bought this game, not for what it is now, but for what it can be in the future.
So, since the lanes aren't the same, how about the ground shakes at the start of a night, and the center tile randomly moves, along with the character?
Great video as always.
"I guess I could take Barrier just to have a button to press" 😂 great
"I dont know, it feels so video game".. i laughed so hard thank you! Totally got what u mean
This game is great. You should definitely do more runs!😊
Cool concept, would've been nice to see it in adifferent setting, though. Still looks like a fun game, regardless.
So you DO like meta-progression, like character unlocks and the like. Just not the kind that forces you to get 2% stronger between runs till you eventually get powerful enough to finish one, which is understandable ^^

Being able to see a run for each class would be cool
Man, this reminds me of the days of flash games. Cool little game
Please more, holy crap!

I love to see more runs of this

Future run yes
Sound effect lookin thing is music to my eyes. 🥸
Also I'd love to see a couple more episodes of this show up randomly in the future
am making a 3d roguelike with random talents but that fog of war is a great idea i might add it if i change the structure of talents advancement
So satisfying game to watch. Hope for more.
This looks like a good Mobile/Android/tablet game.
Would love to see more runs if this
More runs of this please
Purchased. What a steal!! 🎉
watched you get to the first talent tree paused went bought it played 2 runs (yes died on first) there is so much more on archer alone you didnt see and vice versa like i never got the ghosts and trees and there is at least 1 you didnt get
Idea
Have there be a character with much less fog of war
This is such a great game for a small ass price
I'd watch some of this.

The 1 Ring, is a reference to the item of the same name in World of Warcraft (you can get it by fishing).
That's the only thing it's referencing yep

Not bad
