Jordan is the greatest athlete the world has seen. Jordan was the best offensive and defensive player in the NBA. No athlete in history had the athletic gifts combined with extreme work ethic like Jordan. Furthermore, Jordan had superior confidence, nerves, and competitive nature. He is an immortal athlete along side Babe Ruth, Muhammad Ali, and Gretzky.

Bulls 122 Pacers 116. Jordan played during an era when 90% of the league was good every team had at least 2 all stars and played defense. Michael Jordan is the one and only GOAT if he played in today’s game I think he would average 40 points a season.
From someone who grew up watching 90s - present.. when I hear someone try to downplay Jordan's "competition" it tells me that person knows NOTHING about that era and is just repeating what someone else made up out of thin air. The defense of that era alone puts his competition higher.
As a kid (8 to 14 years old) during the Bulls/Jordan era I woke up at 4-5am (different country/time zone) to watch them play. Michael Jordan is the reason I started watching and playing basketball in the first place. He sure was something else. To this day the only other player who gave off the same vibes, had the same mentality and hunger was Kobe Bryant.
I wasn’t a Bulls fan. I was/am a 76ers fan. I had Sixers season tickets. I went to every Sixers game because they were my team but when the Bulls came to town, I went to see Jordan. I wanted the 6ers to win but I watched everything Mike did. I would watch every Bulls game that was televised in Philly. I checked the paper every morning to see what Jordan did on the nights I couldn’t watch. I’ve never done that with any player from another ever, before or since. He was by far the greatest I have ever seen or expect to. Nobody has had the gravity that dude had. You could feel it when he was in town. It was special to live through. I’m sad that it’s over. I think he’s become underrated as the years have gone by. People who aren’t old enough will never feel what is was like when MJ ruled the NBA
In my 42 years, 36 of them watching sports I only have the same level of excitement for a sport twice, when MJ was around, and with prime Messi. Nothing compares to his Airness when it comes to basketball.
I been watching the NBA since 1969. Stats are not everything, cuz individual talent is sometimes intangible, ( like the will to Win) , but the visual is obvious. Mike is The Goat, plain and simple !
As I’m from the uk I didn’t grow up watching basketball I got into basketball around 2010 but instantly loved it so I did my research and for all the people who state lebron is better don’t understand the game the man isn’t even top 3!
Some of today's myths need to be put to rest, Michael Jordan was an athletic freak his 40 yard dash time was a fast 4.38 Lebron James is a speedy 4.4, 23 had one of the best verticals in league history if there is a better athlete in the NBA today it ain't by much, Bulls Central, I hope you will do a video someday that helps end the Gary Payton myth as a Jordan stopper there was no such animal
Jordan is the best I've ever seen do it. Dr. J. was my guy. But Doc was a slasher and didn't have that consistent knock down jumper he needed when he lost a step later in his career. Jordan developed that. He was dominant in the post with his footwork. He actually became a jump shooter when he couldn't fly anymore. As was still dominant. M.J. all day.
MJ and the Bulls beat more 60 plus win teams in the playoffs than LeBron has even played in the post season. People never account for great teams in general, not just super Stars talent. Truth be told, Bron would lose to the great TEAMS of the 80s and 90s, against Hall of Fame lineups. Larry's Celtics had a team loaded with Hall of Famers in their prime at the same time. Same can be said with the showtime Lakers, and the bad boy Pistons. Bron doesn't get past those teams easily like kids today think he would. It was a real team game back then. Defense was much more aggressive and physical. Bron would've been limited to a post position back then, because they would've gone for steals immediately everytime he touched the ball. It's easy to crossover someone today, but try crossing someone with their hand pushing down on your waist, not as easy is it? Take a look at the warriors, they were never a super team, they are one of the greatest teams of all time however. Difference between a super team and a great team, is that, on a great team, most players individually would be role players on any other team, unlike super teams where multiple players could individually star on any team. GREAT teams have chemistry that's been established over multiple seasons of play, while super teams are assembled with rushed chemistry development, but no real experience together. LeBron falls to great teams, as he has a losing record with these teams over the duration of his career. Specifically, great teams with 60+ wins, he loses to more than not. This is who he's 4 and 6 in the finals, because that's where he'll first run into a 60+ win squad. Before, he'd never even run into a 60+ win team in his conference, now that he's in the West, he gets swept by those teams, just like he did this post season against the Nuggets. He wants to coach, be the point guard, and be in the front office. This why he'll never choose to play under a veteran Hall of Fame coach, like Popovich, because they don't fold, and at this point in his career he doesn't like being held accountable. That's what Pat Riley did. He didn't take crap from LeBron, so Bron left. In the 80s and 90s you're stuck with the team that chose you, and you honored the contact. No running around forming super teams, just developing Great teams, and chemistry. He would have still been a star in any era, but he wouldn't be able to play point like he is now. They would've attempted the steal, and limit his movement. LeBron's bag is weak compared to Jordan, Kareem, or Kobe. Don't believe me? Name your favorite LeBron signature move. He has his athleticism he depends on, but his bag is lacking. There have been other athletic freaks who struggled at old age because that's all they had. LeBron rests in game allot. He only gets involved when he sees an easy opportunity mostly. And he doesn't get back on defense if he misses a wide open jumper. Which happens ALLOT. The best I've ever seen LeBron play was in the post after he trained with Hakeem Olajuwon. Kyrie and Kevin were hurt in the finals that year. I literally thought at that point that if he played in the post from the beginning he might've have been able to be the GOAT. But he wants to be in complete control. His hubris is his biggest enemy. Jordan and Kobe played until their bodies gave out. They relied on skill alone at old age. And yes, Kobe faced much harder competition in the West than LeBron has seen in his career, Jordan did as well in the East. Kareem did as well. And when Kareem captured the scoring title, his team won the game. I don't place LeBron over Air Jordan, Black Mamba, or The Captain. They played as hard as they possibly could every game. They didn't reserve themselves, they went hard every possession. The effort, plus the results, and how they never ran from competition is something they should be honored for.
Up until MJ, people used to say that you cannot win championships while leading the league in scoring. Coz only like 3-4 people did it prior to Michael. Michael did it 6 times. Lead the league in scoring, played defense, and won championships. After MJ, only Shaq did it once after that.
Da 80s and 90s were so physical that it was a hybrid of NBA/NFL/WWE/NHL. And Mike had a giant bullseye 🎯 covering him. Just look at how the Pistons brutalized him every time he went into the lane. The Knicks also.
The best stat period I heard on this video period...mj never scored less than 15 points in a playoff game. That's absurd. Wow. This channel just earned my subscription. I'm a miami native and one of my worse birthday weeks was when lebron took his talents to south beach. Still mad at his 8 points in 45 minutes performance in a pivotal game with no physical excuse against dallas in the finals. I do respect lebron and like watching him play, but I honestly mostly like him for what he did after miami. He learned and developed himself a lot during the miami years, but I didn't enjoy it as much as other miami fans.

I've never heard anyone say Jordan's competition was trash. The decade of the 90s is commonly referred to as the golden age of the league for a reason. If you did an all time top 50 half the players on that list are contemporaries of Jordan.
You haven't been paying attention then. Moronic lebron nutriders spew it CONSTANTLY. The amount of times I've seen "jordan played with plumbers!" ... just... see it a lot lol.
