Thank you for the inspiration! Your videos are one of the main reasons I started making scratch built terrain models, mostly made out of old broken toys.
What do you mean by the bottom of the barrel?
I'm not gonna lie, I was not sold on this build until that paint went on. I can't believe how good these looked by the end. Terrain bashing from junk is such an acquired skill, the few times I've tried to make stuff like this I got about 30% in and just couldn't see the shape beyond the junk. I really admire the ability of you youtube creatives to really look past the stuff and see the form as it develops!
My unintentional goal seems to be "looks bad before paint" 😂

It's kinda crazy how it looks like a pile of random junk, then you prime it and it looks instantly cohesive and great.

For super-tall elf-looking(?) arches use nasty black plastic coat hangers with a flat front.

SBackle looks like a great product. It already comes pre-scraped down the sides of the jar to eliminate the edge goop from drying out too fast. Much improved over generic spackle.

The little jab at NFT's made me laugh, and these are some genuinely nice objects you made. You're closely paying attention to volume and shuffling up recognizable features to obscure their origins. Good inspiration!

Old CD's make perfect base plates. They are very light and don't bend like cardboard would do
1) Gorilla heavy wood glue works instead of the PVA/baking soda/sand mix. Has actual wood pulp already mixed in.
2) The modularity of the stackable CD terrain pieces is heckin brilliant.
3) your Necromunda green is fantastic.
Fuckin' art attack over here! Inspiring shit. Making terrain out of junk really takes me back. Hell, I've got glue and a bunch of bullshit lying around. I think it's time to get crafty.

Another use for those coffee cup tops I just discovered: If you cut out pieces of plastic from them, and put them on a wood cutting board then poke a dental pick or nail into them, when you flip it over the other side of the plastic will have bulged out so that it makes a little raised rivet. You can make a lot of sheet metal bits quickly this way. Try it, you'll be amazed at how easy it is. Great for ork builds I bet.

Dang! Watching the build I was thinking, that's looking quite grim- then undercoat, base colors, drybrush: Dynamite! The pieces are no longer grim, they are GrimDark! Too great!
40k terrain is very forgiving when it comes to scratch building from trash...you can really use anything and it will look great in the end. Great build man. I love it and the commentary is always funny too 😅👍👍
Throughout almost every one of your videos I have major doubts and many mini panics that its going to look terrible, but every time your builds look fantastic in the end. One day I'll learn, right?

Yeah! Those are slightly less common now as more and more brands go to a latte style lid/opening (starbucks style)

I wasn't too hopeful when the dental floss container was glued down but I am genuinely impressed.
Floss is important in more than one regard.
I like your ideas fir making terrain out of things that would be thrown away. It was kind of funny, when you said "Now this next part, this is a good one" it went to a commercial.

I learned that adding salt to your magic kitchen dust will kill bacteria and make it last longer. This is Great!
I've been toying with the idea of making a 4×4ft necromunda terrain table that goes up 3ft high. Using 5 pillars (pvc pipe in 4 corners then the middle) and attaching walkways and buildings all around the pillars. Trying to go for the underhive vibe while trying to also make it portable lol
Make sure you can lift away elements for storage and playability. Sounds sick, share it once its done!

Man, I just did a pass on my nasty hoard and threw out a lot of soda cans, coffee lids, CDs and weird plastic bits and lids, figuring I'd never use them as they're too awkward and recognizable... and now this video comes out. Not sure whether I'm happy or sad I didn't see it before.
