*FINALLY!!!* a complete conversion van! solar panels, sink, cooking stove, toilet, queen sized bed great job, and it even looks kinda stealthy and actually pretty fucking nice!
I'm watching this video from 6 years ago thinking how far you guys have come. I've followed you since the VDub Van Life days and I guess have seen your channel grow in the same way as seeing a pet/child grow, not noticing how much it can change and improve but my goodness you really are good at what you do now!!! You are totally inspirational and a credit to everyone that watches your videos. Keep strong you guys, big love from us! Sam & Gabi x
Here's what you people need to know about the Volkswagen Eurovan: they're fantastic!! I own a '95 Eurovan camper (5 cyl., auto) and I'll tell you, open the front doors, the sliding door, the hatchback and then pop the top and swivel the captain's chair 180 degrees and it's just like a mini home. Loving it. 100,057 k miles!
Hey Bee and Theo! Thank you so much for this video. After discovering your channel, I've been slowly watching all your videos. My partner and I (from Australia) are doing a heap of research at the moment, planning on travelling around the UK and Europe for 6 months, and your van setup is exactly the style we want to go for. Your videos are great for us to learn various tips and tricks, (particularly the midge proof video), as I virtually knew nothing about van life until recently. Just a big thanks, and looking forward to seeing more videos! Safe travels :) Molly.
How young you both look I'm watching every episode again it's absolutely brilliant How far you both have come thank you for this channel it's something I look forward to every episode 😀😊😄❤
It is nice to start to see the result of the detailed commitment you have had in the recovery of your country house. Beautiful work. Traditional Portuguese architecture thanks 😉👍🏼 A suggestion that further enhances the beauty of natural stones. Apply matte water-based varnish, try it and see the result. It gives an interesting effect. health and strength
Very nice !I am sure you get great gas mileage! You guys are a great couple ....I look forward to more videos and crossing paths here on youtube as I have subscribed to your channel!
can i make a wish? I've been watching so many videos of yours! I'd love to see a video where you tell us how you first met and got to know each other and how in the end you decided to move into a van full time! :) thank you for your awesome work so far!!
OK guys I am binge watching after seeing you for the first time on Thomas Heatons channel, so far so good, lets see how far I can get by the end of the week, seeing as I am currently tied to my desk with a gammy foot. cheers
it is so nice :) but then there are always the downsides like going to the toilet in a bush or not being able to stand up ;) but the pros far outweigh the cons! thanks for watching :)
Hello great videos and lots of info. Liked some of the tech stuff, like the touch LED lights, where did you get these? Have you done a video on the electrical setup of the van? If you built it again what would you change? Subbed!
This is awesome, your van is pretty much exactly how me and my partner would be doing ours. Although I think an elevating roof would make it feel alot more spacious. Good luck on your travels, inspiring !! :)
Mitchell Orr Thank you. An elevating roof would definitely add a lot more room, it would be a massive luxury to stand inside the van, maybe one day! Good luck with your van too, it's a great way to travel.
I've just found your channel and your videos are brilliant, it's defiantly given me the touring bug again, although the furthest I've been in my t4 was the south of France for a 3 week explore, one bit of advice, don't even though it may look cool paint your roof satin black a week before traveling somewhere hot like I did, van was like an oven lol : ) a lesson learnt I think, keep up the videos, very well edited and interesting content
I love your van! Good tour and thanks for showing how the bed folds out. I'm currently converting my Ford transit mwb high top van into a campervan so if you have any tips or anything it would be very helpful. thanks!!
+Reeceapig Williams cheers! Best tip is make/get a bed that is comfy, as it's awful not getting a good nights sleep. Also the most important thing is water, try and have it so you can carry at least 50 litres on board as that can last up to a week :)
+VDubVanLife thanks for replying, I will definitely take that into consideration when converting. I totally agree that you must have a comfy bed where ever you are!
Hi, interesting configuration. I am wondering if the lack of headroom is ever a bit of a problem in the van? As you are obviously touring in a colder wetter climate than I am used to, how do you cope with long periods of bad weather? When we downsized from our old Bedford to a campervan we just couldn't cope with the lack of space and soon moved to a mid-sized Coaster bus.
The T4 is awesome to drive but me personally could use some more space, like a high roof long wheel base van where I can stand up and have a proper shower...
I've had a few caravans but our kids are after getting to big and not interested anymore, so I'm after buying a ford transit builders van 2001 Long wheel base medium high roof it's very clean and I'm going to convert it for my self I love camping and kayaking, the transit is 11 foot my kayak is 10 foot 4 so it will fit into the back of the van instead of trying to put it up on top of the van, over here my van is 2.0 deisel I could have got a smaller van but the insurance and road tax and running costs would have been the same as a smaller van so I got a bigger van that's why I asked why you didn't go for a bigger van :) love the videos keep them coming :) ps I subbed you :)
The crazy man from Ireland. Sounds perfect! Have fun with the conversion, will be great to have it exactly as you want it, especially being able to fit the kayak in. Thanks for the feedback :) it's great to have so many positive comments!
Great set up! I've just purchased a converted camper van and have been putting my own touch to it. Can't wait to live on the road! I had a few questions, if you don't mind asking: 1- Do you charge your laptop with the 12 v converter that you use to charge your phones with? 2- How do you make money while you are on the road to continue your journey? I've been trying to come up with ideas for myself, so maybe your personal experiences can help me :) Oh, and 3- Where has been your favorite place so far? Thanks so much for sharing! Blessings to you, friends.
TendaFootie That's great, hope you're having fun adding your personal touches :) We have a 12V charger for our laptop that we bought off Amazon (www.amazon.co.uk/In-Car-Charger-MacBook-13-inch-Unibody/dp/B002LN67VK) , it's really handy for charging in the van. We lived off saving for the first year and have started to make money through a variety of online methods e.g. we sell our own tees at www.weleavetomorrow.co.uk, as well as picking up freelance filming jobs. Jointly our favourite place has got to be the Lofoten Islands in northern Norway, it's an awe inspiring part of the world, somewhere we'd like to head back to one day! We'll be releasing a video all about our budget soon which may be of use! Thanks for reaching out :)
+AshleyUnicorns1213 cheers! We shower in many places: campsites, public showers, leisure centres, friends houses, random showers in tiny villages, beaches etc... you've got to be resourceful :)
we bought the van converted from a conversion company in London, they called it a rock 'n' roll bed and we think it's like the normal ones... thanks for watching :)
Hi Guys. Where did you get the overhead cupboards from? Just in the process of kitting my T4 out, and they look like a decent addition! Really enjoying watching all your videos! Cheers
Hi Guys, great job with the van and idea for living ;) We are planing to buy fiat ducato 2.5 D. Would you recomend it ? Could i park this camper on regular parkings ? Regards and all the best
