- So, WHERE HAVE I BEEN???
Well, to tell the truth, I've been making other videos for some friends and relatives (birthday videos, photo collages - the lot). Plus, media projects ramp up and occupy my time. But enough of that!
Man, I didn't know Undyne's fight was gonna take this long. It might not seem like much (I mean, 7 minutes doesn't seem like much), but I was kinda stuck in a few areas. On top of that, I was actually conflicted multiple times on whether or not I should continue with Undyne, or scrap it altogether. I mean, this is a series that showcases Monsters - who didn't get a genocide run, having exclusive, genocide-run forms. Since Undyne was already done, at first I didn't really consider the idea to make it. BUUUT... With the Geno-Monster Kid video, I (accidentally) left Undyne's arc to be ambiguous in its ending. I didn't really imply that her fight was gonna end the same way it usually would. As such, many people started asking for the Undyne fight, understandably. AS SUCH, I made a whole video to patch up the open-ended story arc of Undyne. Another partial reason, was due to the fact that it DID, in fact, feel necessary to have one - for story's sake. So, I don't regret making this - but, let's just say, my enthusiasm was in different places. (Like the Undertale DDD Prequel! *ahem*)
If it's any consolation, I've learned how to do a few things, thanks to the creation of Undyne's fight. And with that, Asgore's fight is gonna have that extra kick to it! (Hopefully)

Alas, Undyne has transformed once again in one last ditch effort to strike you down. But she’s got a few more tricks up her sleeves this time!
Undyne utilises ‘Green SOUL Mode’ but instead of it shifting to whatever key you press, your arrows now rotate the shield, so long as you hold the key down. Attacks are much harder, plentiful and have newer designs as well as revamping old attacks. Thankfully, she does slightly less damage than before.
“Undyne didn’t really have much of a revamp. She was perfect the way she was for a genocide run and all that I could revamp really, was her attacks. I didn’t wanna over-complicate things. I did however revamp the Green SOUL mechanic to make things both unique and interesting. I actually decreased her damage to the player to make it hard but ‘fair’, given the amount of bullets she spams this time around (WOAH, I BALANCED A CHARACTER?!). Inspiration-wise? Youmu, ‘nuff said. Oh, and a bit of Meira here and there. Aside from that, I gave her the Kingdom Hearts BBS Shotlock system. Why? Next commentary I ‘might’ be able to explain it.” - เกม

I love how the first two turns are just Undyne powering up while you try in vain to attack her; it reminds me of the few times anyone in DBZ actually tried to attack someone mid-transformation, only to get blown back by the force of their exploding power!

I loved Undyne’s original Genocide battle, and DDD cranked it up a million notches.

sans: you really like throwing those things around dontcha? i've always wondered why people use their strongest attacks last...
Cuz exhaustion, using your strongest attack first will exhaust you, making you vulnerable to all attack if failed to finish off the enemy, that's why it's only used as a final attack
Also, sans said it, but still kept his strongest attack till last, what's stopping him from telekenisis us into the wall 91 time then finish it off with a few gaster blasters or just dunk us?

I was watching an Undyne The Undying fight remake video, and it reminded me of this series! I *had* been following it since Genocide Papyrus, but my interest in Undertale waned and I eventually lost track of it entirely. Glad to be back, though. :)

I love the idea of using two shields! That's a unique mechanic that I would love to be used more! Anyways this is a great animation and I saw that you used a shotlock during one point(I think that's from some of the spin off final fantasy games and I know that it is in the kingdom hearts games because its in KH birth by sleep).

This was just a STORM, this was the most amazing animation so far, I drop off of my chair when I saw second shield and blocking them 2 pairs of spears... and final attack...! Keep up good work and don't rush yourself, really confused what's the next battle will be :D

This felt more like a true final stand than the actual fight... that last attack definitely showed how desperate Undyne was compared to the original
I still stand by my words that a mad dummy fight would not only be filled with potential but would also grasp at the point of DDD
There will be a mad dummy fight in the future -- but it'll appear in a circumstance not many will expect yet.
