Can't remember exactly which comic it was, but I remember a comic that had a story about a guy who made people into meals for guest at a hotel ...or something like that.
Part of the idea behind this channel is the fact that my memory is a bit shot, so I’m going through my storage and sharing what I found in the videos as it jogs my brain. I can say I remember this, but I can’t say for certain that I don’t have a comic with that plot. Stay tuned!
You seem to have a wealth of knowledge with this magazine. I'm trying to rekindle a childhood memory. Being an avid Famous Monster of Filmland collector, I recall reading a story in "possibly" Eerie. Scare the the shit out of me as a kid in the 70's. Unfortunately, I've been unable to locate this comic strip story. All I could remember is the story involved a girl jumping into a swimming pool (I believe indoor) and what she thought was water turned out to be acid. I don't know why I remember this after 48 years. Do you know which story or issue featured this story? I don't believe it was Creepy magazine do to the artwork. PLEASE HELP
Unfortunately my memory isn’t what it used to be either. The story you described sounds vaguely familiar, but I picture it with kind of crude art like in the Eerie horror publications. They were not connected to Eerie or the Warren magazines. Check out this video linked in the next comment to see what I mean. I’ll see what I kind dig up, but I’m out of town the next few days.
I can't remember the name of production company...but the scariest comics I read were put out by the Baptist church in the 60s and 70s. One story in particular about a boy in Africa becoming demon possessed. Freaked my out.
It sounds like it might have been when of Jack Chicks comic books (regular size comics, not the tracts). Maybe this one? www.chick.com/products/item?stk=104&ue=m
