Thanks for the update. I’m pretty happy with mine. It’s does what I need it to, and that’s all I can ask for. I have had mine get very warm, but I never really crank it up past 40. I think it sounds good even at lower volumes. I have a tsi speaker set up, and it pairs well with them. I have dual ‘12 mono price subs. My atmos and surround speakers are From the Sony core series. All in all, it work out well. Good review 👍🏽!!
unfortunately now all heatsinks are undersized in the mid-range. In any case, a 14 cm USB fan in extraction above the avr is enough to keep it completely cold even with the mad pretense of keeping it at 100% always with all channels
I highly recommend the 3700h. Much better expandability. You can disconnect the internal amps and get a clean signal up to two volts. Necessary for external amps.
Have to admit 3700h looks a great amp it just I move between a dedicated music amp and the av amplifier, so I couldn't justify it if I had a dedicated movie room I I'm sure I could of stretched the budget a little 👍
Hi, does your amp suffer with slow changing from one input to another? at times i need to turn mines off and back on again before it shows theres things connected when i change inputs, i also get really annoying black screen flicker from my media player when connected to this amp, media player is fine connected to the tv and sometimes it only flickers 2 times when turned on, other times it constantly flickers and is unwatchable, i factory reset the amp and all was good for a few weeks then it all started again, my 12 year old onkyo amp was great and im really wishing i never bought this now, infact i may end up returning it and getting something else, im pretty sure that with this hdmi 2.1 issue we have upto 5 years to return as sound united have admitted there is a fault with the amps?
Sorry to here you have so much grieve with that amp, except for the overheating issue which was due to playing music loud on all multi channel stereo mode and manually adjusting the dialogue speaker fine tune to the room I've got to be honest it's been fine, to be fair I rely on the much older technics amp dedicated for music and pretty much use the denon amp for movies, there are better amps out there but the problem is they don't reach this price point, having said that if the tec doesn't work and I haven't had any issues you just might be unlucky with a bad unit, I purchased mine from richer sounds which is a UK based company and they give a five year guarantee with all there equipment,it may be worth talking to your retailer to see if that guarantee stretches to your supplier, I which you look with that unit it does sound like you have had a rough time, regards Mark
@@markmarievanlife1549 plug all your speakers into the av then do a calibration test and use the mike that came with it then do a test ping and unplug everything else then update the firmware
And make sure that your av receiver is turned off when plugging in your speakers or you could get an ark or an earth look in your manual for a factory reset but nothing must be plugged in
Hey Buddy love your video! I got the same receiver based off your honest review. I’m loving it so far but the only thing is I’m having trouble get 4K 120 to work. How did you manage to do it and could you make a video showing how you did it for the Xbox?
I know this is old but do you have an ultra high speed hdmi cable? Does your TV have HDMI 2.1? If the answer is no to either of those then 4k120 wont work.
It is a fantastic piece of kit,I'm guessing the results can vary a little bit depending on your speaker set up, the design and build is excellent and the menu system is simple to use
@@markx8659 Hi Mark, today I bought a Denon AVR-X2700H, I thought it has more interactivity than the Yamaha and Denon's history conveys greater quality and reliability. I want to set up an ATMOS system in my living room without picking a fight with my wife. hahaha
So true first challenge for me convincing my wife how much we needed the speakers, but I do think your be happy with your purchase its a great set up and more importantly future proof 👍
Thanks for talking so much about using this as a stereo receiver. Great info.

A lot of good information about the capabilities and limitations. And some resolutions. Thanks. I need a bit more before I attempt to set it up.

With regards to the over eating issue, try it on a keto diet. Nice review, mate. Waiting for mine to arrive next week 👍🏾
Thanks for your review!
Can you tell us more about your cable management?
Lol

Can I run dual subs and a separate amp with this AVR? Thanks.
Great video bud well explained 👍
Does it pass through a 4K signal without messing with it at all?
I have been into av receivers for 30 years mine kicks out 7 .2 . 2 and I have no problems with it you may have bought low end not saying you have
Xbox is only 4K....running it through that amp has nothing to do with performance or how the xbox runs smoother 🤣 love your vids
"Cough" Cable management
Have you balanced the balanced all your speakers and set the levels

Firmware update
@@markmarievanlife1549 and use banana plugs not bare wires because the give a better connection on your speaker terminals

Still have ? Still recommend?

Just wait for the x2800h to be released. It wil prob'ly have 4K 120hz 40gbps on ALL ports.

Hi oli, nanny and grandad say hello
does this thing has sound equalizer?
Hi you can adjust the speaker levels or it will set them automatically, but no graphic equalizer ther is tone and base settings.
Onkyo receivers have graphic equalizer on each chanel and subwoofers separately
@@justme... hi ,each level can be adjusted but no individual graphic settings per channel on the denon
