I have all of these, except F6 (and I have Kirchhoff EQ for that), but I've had StudioRack for over a year and never used it, or really realized how powerful it can be. Now I know. Thanks for that!
I'm working on a mix at the moment where I have dipped 2k on the guitars to make room for vocals. I'm going to swap out the EQ with a dynamic EQ side-chained to the vocals now. Thanks for the tip!
Torque is such a good plugin...I got it for free when I got a couple of their Abbey Road plugins, and it adds a lot of definition to percussive elements.
You recommended the SSl E Channel. There is the new EV 2 Version. How would you compare this to the Mixhub and the Scheos omni Channel? Which one should I get?
This is good too and would probably make a Top 10 list. You can hear it against the Townhouse, UAD SSL and an analog compressor here: th-cam.com/video/Ax87jZ-Aw_s/w-d-xo.html
Hi. I use Epidemic Sounds for my background music. They have a huge catalog of great music. To produce music like that, it’s the same process as producing any music - Good sounding recordings/sample instruments, good mixing and mastering. Library music needs to be a more consistent level throughout than a song traditional would be with dynamic movement.
I'm a new follower/subscriber and I just bought the Waves Dynamic EQ you recommended, but were you gonna make an extra video on HOW TO USE THAT? Please do! It's been 3 months since you teased us with your excellent promise, LOL. (Or maybe I'm not seeing it...tell me where?)

I like your videos and I also like (some of) the Waves plugins. But dude, seriously... Have you sold your soul to the devil? How can you recommend people to get on a Waves subscription plan? That must be the worst investment EVER! The only way that would make sense is if you subscribe to either Gold or Platinum for just one month to see which plugins in the bundle you actually like and use. Then stop the subscription and buy these plugins separately when they are on sale (which is... well, throughout the year basically). If you like a bunch of them, buy the bundle when it's on sale. You might have to be a little more patient here, but I have seen Gold go for less than $100... By the way, can you explain what is going on at 1:58 in this video? There's a lot of bussing going on there. I mean, a lot... What is all that for?
Hi Frank, the Waves Subscription plan isn’t for everyone but I wanted to make people aware of it. Regarding the busses, there is a lot on that song which is was a complicated mix, loads of instrumentation going on and different groupings/fx sends/returns. It was a pain in the arse to mix 🤣 Here’s how it came out: open.spotify.com/album/6AlgJ2F9m2uk0CsOmWZZJy?si=A9GdC56iS3O_wc4uOCvsng

Thanks for the Breakdown brother.

Demo them all out and see which works. The EV2 is obviously the newest so should sound the best.
Very helpful! Definitely going to be trying out some of these!! 👍
That’s great, I’m glad it was useful 🙂

How do you feel about the ssl g master bus??
This is good too and would probably make a Top 10 list. You can hear it against the Townhouse, UAD SSL and an analog compressor here: th-cam.com/video/Ax87jZ-Aw_s/w-d-xo.html
get it... i have it on my bus always... legendary
@@NIP28 does it work best by slapping it on the master bus or?
@@TzoHill it works best as a glue
Work with waves v10?
Does what work with Waves ten? All waves plugins can be updated to the current v12.
Good job!!!
Thanks for watching 🙂
wow i didnt know studio rack was capable of that, I have it but never use it.
It’s probably the most versatile and flexible plugin out there! The more Waves plugins you have to insert the better obviously.
I want to know how to mix music like your background music!! Desperately!

Hi Gordon, thanks for the kick up the butt, you’re right, I do still need to do this video. I’ll see what I can do 🙂
Agreed. I bought it too a couple of days ago…
great thanks for the video!!!
You’re welcome
Studio rack ✌️
Great plugin isn’t it?
@@EdThorne it’s because of you 🙏
How much I will need to pay for the annual upgrade if I will own all these 200 plugins?
Ooof… I dread to think… Surely you’d never use ALL 200?🤣
@@EdThorne How come??? all these are must-have plugins if you wanna make good music, isn't it? 😉

@@bille77 Awesome. Welcome to the channel, and Hi from London 🙂
Can you make me a template using these plugins please
I could but the settings are very mix dependant, and the fun in mixing is experimenting, do you not think? 🙂

You won’t get very drunk, I only ask for a sub once and a like once. Watch it again if you don’t believe me👌
