Airfield is a very special song for me. I saw Shikari in Brixton last year, January 2019, a day after my dad passed away. My best friend was with me and had been through the whole thing with me, we were sat up in top level and I sang every word whilst crying my eyes out before falling back into my chair and succumbing to getting it all out. My mate just sat their with me with an arm around my shoulder but it was such a release. A very bittersweet moment for me.
The boys were amazing that night. I wanted to hang around to see them after the show but I couldn't, in the end I just DM'd the Twitter account saying thanks for making me feel a little bit better about a shit situation, and they didn't have to, but I got a message back offering support and love and it's forever solidified this band as one of my favourites. They didn't have to do that.
I have a lot of love and respect for Shikari. Amazing people and an amazing band.

I cried for you because I had a similar thing with another band called Yard Act, I saw them on the anniversary of my mum's death and one song is kinda like about how even though the world's ending just make the most of what we have and he said, "You're alive! You're alive!" I turned to my dad like you said with your friend and I cried so much, just cried into his shoulder. It is such a release. I wish you well friend. I wish you well.

When they first released this, I was in a dark place emotionally, my mental health was in absolute tatters, and I could really feel these words especially in ode, digging into my soul.
I'm from St Albans originally and was lucky enough seeing these guys going through my teenage years locally, I now live near Leeds, and I am absolutely buzzing about their gig in Feb, but seeing St Albans cathedral and the vintry in the background really makes me miss home!

    50:00 mark
Chris to Rou: “Don’t think it was Rob”
    Both Chris and Rou laugh
    In the background
    Rob: “why are you laughing”
    Favorite part.

Shinrin-Yoku the first time I heard It I cried because I never thought I would ever hear a "full" version of the Jonny Sniper outro. It was my absolute favorite riff they have ever written its so powerful yet elegant.

An Ode to Lost Jigsaw Pieces (in two movements) is genuinely one of the most gut-wrenching, heartbreaking, excruciating, beautiful, soul bearing songs I've ever listened to. Rou really is such an incredible musician and lyricist, they all are so talented. My husband and I got to see them live a few weeks ago in Orlando (it was his 3rd time and my 1st) and seeing them live was just mind blowing, they're probably better live than in the studio. I love their sound, lyrics, message, creativity, energy, I appreciate that they're a band always striving to continue evolving. Since falling down the rabbit hole, I haven't heard one single song that I didn't like. Not many bands have done that for me, especially over so many years. I love Enter Shikari ❤ Thankful I saw them live, next time they come to FL we'll be there again.

When ode to lost jigsaws came on I legit started crying. I hope one day all of you can play this live, as it's a powerful track. Thank you for being honest and sharing so much about it.
On a side note thank you for making this documentary Tom, Rou, Rory, Chris, and Rob. The spark is amazing and I can't wait to see your next musical undertakings on album 6.
And still we will be here, standing like statues.

    "Fuck, it's so cold"
I honestly adore how Airfield ended as on the full release. That specific line is so powerful and if Shikari had have left the lyrics the exact same it would have still be good, obviously, but it just wouldn't have had as amazing an effect as it did. The song is just so fucking inspirational and I know no one who wouldn't be moved by the track.
