They're solid lads that love their fans. Once they were doing a gig in a stadium and a couple of fans were rejected to come in to a sound check by security so the singer Rou came out to give them all coffee.
Something about Electronic/Metalcore just gets me, makes me feel that 2000s nostalgia like I'm playing my gamecube while eating a lunchable. I miss those times but they're long gone, thankfully I still got the memories :)
@@charizardmaster13 yeah, I meant British bands. There were a few on the scene at the time. Nobody made it as big as Shikari but there was a definitely a scene of people trying to do that sound. Haha it feels so long ago now!

The first I time I went to a shikari gig (back in 07) I remember walking out the venue afterwards to find out my generation was waiting for their kids to pick up........
i remember seeing shikari like 3 times in the space of about 6 months when i was about 15/16 (i even bought the first original pressing of jonny sniper/acid nation on 7" from merch before kids my age even knew what a record player was) during this tour and everytime, it ended up being just some glowstick-fuelled mess inclusive of rooms full of sweaty manchester teens and spin-kicks to the knuckleduster belt buckle urbis 4eva baby, never forget
I saw them in Manchester not long after Take to the Skies came out, finger lights, glowsticks, sweat and a massive pit! T'was a good night, as far as I remember...
Traveling to see them twice this weekend. Take To The Skies has had more influence on my life than any other album in the last decade, and I say that as a musician and DJ. This is real music.
