My Train Archive Video's # 1- Amtrak Atlantic City Express, & Amtrak ICE Train

- This is a never before seen video on you tube. Its one of the many rare train archive video's i have in my collection. These video's were made by my dad for me when i was little. In this video you'll see an Amtrak Atlantic City Express powered by F- 40ph # 309, an Amtrak long distance train powered by 2 Amtrak AEM7's, and the final treat the Amtrak ICE train. During the making of this film this train was in daily service between New York & Washington D.C....you'll get some amazing horn action from the AEM'7's and from the ICE train...enjoy ya'll more will be on the way

Indeed it sure was and to get the F40PH in there was awesome also. Well I think it was sent back and reconverted back to its original consist. I bet its still running to this day.

@tazamack oh yeah...i also got vid's of E 60's running..oh yeah the ICE is sweet the sound clarity on this vid is better then the ones made by video companies...and another great thing a tht there was now wind blowing when the ICE blew its horn which is awsome!!
but personally i feel that they should have brought it also.it was powerful and relaible..the tilt tech could have been added to the ICE 1 later on or they could have straightend out alot of th curves like they plan to do now,but i they wanted train really fast and could go faster on conventional tracks faster then the ICE they should have brought the X2000 train and added extra cars to it.tht particular X2000 set amtrak borrowed was brought by china and still runs to this day.i'll send u a vid
yes they could have brought the ICE train but u've got to consider why they made the Acela instead of buying the ICE..the ICE was designed for gradual curves that didn't require the train to have tilt technology..since the NEC is very cuvrey this train couldn't use its full speeds in the curves which was a dissadvantage for the ICE,thts why amtrak took the hp capablities of the ICE and combined it with the X2000's tilt tech to get the best of both trains
