My Train Archive Video's # 2- Amtrak Trains at Darby Station

This is part 2 of my personal railroad archive video's. These were filmed by my dad when I was still a baby. He made these video's especailly for me so that when I got older I could see the trains from when I was little. Well I am sharing another one with you right here. In Part 1 of this mini series my dad films at Darby Station on the NEC. He films a few Amtraks and the Amtrak ICE train in that video. Well in part 2 hea's again filming at Darby station to catch somemore great amtrak action. This Part 2 was filmed in 1991 on a nice afternoon day. This is also when amtrak was in the Phase 3 paint scheme and you get to see a few AEM7's in phase 3 also. While he was waiting for some amtrak trains he filmed a couple of men playing with the dog. Not long after the first amtrak train shows up with AEM7 DC #912. 912 is leading the train at a good clip as it passes my dad. While waiting for another train he filmed the S curve towards the east. Originally that s curve wasn't that sharp but Septa added a new trolley yard and thus this S curve had to be rebuilt. Sometime passes by before a philly bound train shows up. AEM7 DC # 945 is leading this train at speed.As my dad films he gets a awesome horn blast from the crew as the train speeds past. In the distance it rouns the S curve and trips the old PRR color positioning signals. Finally to close out this video my dad films a Amtrak long distance train. Duel AEM7DC's one being 906 are on the point. The trains consit is mostly of heritage cars with a few Amfleets in the mix. It was a great day for my dad to film and he caught some great trains while there. I hope you enjoy another installment from my personal railroad archive video's that my dad filmed.

I wish the corridor still had all the Amfleet color scheme in mixed sets it would pretty cool. Nice vid

thank you...yes indeed it was great tht he was thinking ahead like tht...not only did it allow me to see trains back then but it give's me an opportunity to share it with everyone here :-)

yeah I remember that..there was the phase 3, Phase 4, and the Acela service scheme on the Amfleets...i need to get some more phase 4's though...thanks, I am glad you liked it :-)

I was about 1 year old when my dad took this video...the reason you didn't hear me like in the Part 1 was becuase I wasn't with him...I was home..lol..yeah indeed in part 1 I sure was

Thanks me to but in a few months all will be gone :-( They are being replaced by the new ACS-64..i filmed the test train with ACS-64 #602 last night and its posted on my channel :-)
