    I wondered if you asked your dermatologist about the frequency of using the .5 weekly. I asked mine, and she said I could use the .25 weekly, but the .5 should only be done once a month. However, having said that, it appears that your face does not seem to be suffering any ill effects from using it weekly. I'll continue watching your great success. You are aging beautifully!

    • @FiftyPlusBeauty
      @FiftyPlusBeauty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Thank you so much and actually your dermatologist is correct. I have stopped using the .5 weekly. I now use either .25 or .3 a couple of times a week. I seem to get the same results in the studies actually back that up.

    Started doing diy and I am completely amazed. I do my own toxins, facial threads and hyrolon pen to inject fillers into my lips. My skin looks terrific. This is the future of women taking control of their lives, you don’t have to be rich to have these procedures done, saving thousands of dollars.👄

    Finally- someone showing me how to properly derma roll !!
    I'm 58 years old - young looking runs strong in my family - no Botox, no plastic surgery.. all natural..but I've always been curious about derma rolling.

      God bless you too! In looking at your photo you are so right! Looking youthful does run in your family! You were so lucky for that but also you’re probably doing some good things like wearing sunblock, keeping out of the sun and also just having a cheerful attitude. I can really kind of tell that on your beautiful face. Blessings to you and I hope you had a great memorial day weekend! I am so sorry it’s over!

    I really appreciate the information in this video and all the comments. I have a .5 and 1mm that I purchased from Timeless. I purchased the .5 first and used it maybe once or twice on my face but very gingerly since I really didn't know what I was doing. Months later I was hit by a car (I'm okay!) but had some pretty nasty contusions on my hands. Once they healed up, I used the .5 derma roller on the scars for a few weeks and today (3 years later) I can't even tell where they were. I haven't tried the 1mm yet and based on the comments here I will reserve that for the body. I ordered the Angel Kiss set!

Will do my face tonight - just recently did a hydra facial so I don’t want to do too much to irritate my skin. Thanks for the refresh. Started derma rolling .5 ml on my face on April 22, 2021 once a week. Still waiting to see any result. I guess my skin needs more time. PS: To make sure my roller stays completely clean after spraying it with alcohol, instead of rinsing it under water I derma roller my hand which I have also sprayed with alcohol. This way you won't get alcohol on you face from the roller but you derma roll your hand instead. The small quantity of alcohol left on the roller doesn't hurt my hand at all. By Beth

    Thank you so much for your videos and putting yourself out there. I don't mean to comment on your appearance but I have to tell you, without make up you look 15 years younger than with makeup. Your skin is so beautiful and glowing when not covered up and the eye shadow makes your eyes look too sunken but without it they look more plump and youthful. You look like you are in your late 40s without makes so beautiful, but I am not a make up person so thats probably why I see this. I think you will really like it. It’s also neat that you haven’t worn much make up but that you have consistently worn sunscreen. You have lovely skin and I know that is one of the reasons why. If I could revisit my 30-year-old self that is what I would tell myself is to wear sunscreen. Fortunately, when I was 35 a girl in my office encouraged me to wear sunscreen every single day and I started to do it at that point. As a child though, I pretty much baked in the sun! LOL!My parents would drop us off at the pool every morning about 8 o’clock and come pick us up at 6o’clock in the evening. I looked like a raisin by the time I got home! LOL!

      Hi Shari. I actually stopped it because of a mistake I made which really had nothing to do with the Derminator. One time when I was applying one of the needle heads to the device I accidentally pushed the wrong end into the unit. Then I turn it around and inserted it correctly and when I started to use it displayed ends that I accidentally pushed in the machine really ripped up my skin! I bled like crazy in the experience scared me. Actually, I have a Mr. pen but I’ve only used it a couple of times. I just feel like maybe it is too forceful and I like the manual derma roller as it is much gentler.That’s just my feeling right now as I will probably go back to try the doctor pin again on a .25 depth. Maybe it would not feel so forceful to me. Lately I am thinking gentler may be better

      Hi Jim. I think you were really like it. I really think it is firming up my skin and I like the research that says you don’t need a deep needle to do that. They are saying the cosmetic depth of .25 to .3 can be used fairly often and that it does produce changes. Thanks so much for watching. I really appreciate having you as part of the Fifty Plus Beauty Family.

    Thank you Beth for this video. I am late to the dermarolling fad. I purchased your three roller demaroll kit from Amazon and I just got it yesterday. I started with my arms and then my thighs after my shower yesterday. I put on the Hyaluronic Acid that you also recommended that comes in the large container, I got that item earlier and love it all over my body after a shower. Thank you for the recommendation, my skin feels so soft now. My arms were a bit painful when I put body lotion on it a few hours later (Eucerin) as I usually do before I go to sleep. If I see results on my arms and thighs which are the crepiest, I will start on my face. I am a bit nervous doing my face because I get facials once a month and during last Winter and Spring I got micro needling every other month, in between Hydra facials. She doesn't want to micro needle my face in the Summer, so I have mixed emotions about doing it myself. I need to think on this a while longer. However, I can see improvements to my face and chin line after several micro needling treatments. Thank you for all your good advice. And for telling me I can do it weekly at first. I wasn't sure how often I should do it on my body.

    • @FiftyPlusBeauty
      @FiftyPlusBeauty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Anita. I am so happy to learn you are micro needling your body. Please let me know how it works overtime. You can take about six months before you really start to see the changes. If I were you, I would listen to my aesthetician with regard to derma rolling on your face. Anymore, I am reluctant to do more than the cosmetic death derma rolling on my face. At 25 to .3 MM I don’t feel I can do any harm and I may do some good. I am glad you were taking it slowly. I appreciate you sharing your journey.

    Ive been derma rolling for awhile now and your warning about vitamin c is on point! • @FiftyPlusBeauty
      @FiftyPlusBeauty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jean. I will probably explain more about what I’m learning spiritually in a future video. I really am interested in that. Right now I am learning about how we are all interconnected and that loving ourselves and other people is pretty much the most important thing. In addition, I am learning that belief in oneself and in the desired outcome you want is about the most important way to change your life. If you want to achieve a goal, you have to kind of work from the end backwards. You have to see the outcome and truly feel the joy of its achievement in order to help make it happen. I don’t think I explain any of that very well but that’s the kind of thing I’m working on right now and it’s bringing me a lot of joy. Love you and thank you so much for being part of the 50+ beauty family.

    Have you ever done your hands? I'm wondering how effective dermarolling is on hands. This has been a great video. I was reluctant to dermaroll, because some dermatologists say it's too dangerous at home. But, what you're doing seems safe. I'm going to start doing it with the .25 to start and later the .30. Thank you, Beth.

      Hi Linda. It’s funny that you mention the hands because for the past month I have been derma rolling my left hand and arm as I’m always trying to find a way to thicken up our body skin. I am not really sure I am seeing much difference though but I plan to keep at it as I’ve heard it can be 3 to 6 months before you really see positive changes. So far though up close and personal my hand looks pretty darn old! LOL!

The last time I did it, I used .5 and Retin A (I know, they say your shouldn't use Retin A with derma rolling), but I got a wonderful peel that lasted about 5 days, and then my skin looked radiant and fresh. You look great! Take care.💖

About five years ago i got a fat filler in my cheeks which I have finally grown to like OK. For the first few tears I looks like a chipmunk and I hated my cheeks. I also got liposuction under my chin maybe 5 to 7 years ago. I would never do that again. Now that there’s Chi Bella they can get rid of a little bit of a double chin without lipo.

      @FiftyPlusBeauty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there. I am so sorry that happened to you. I know how upsetting it is to do some thing and at first it is too dark or too strong. One good thing though is that it will fade over time. I am not familiar with exactly that situation but I did a little research. It looks like you might try a product like one of the derma blend coverups. Use one that is like leg and body make up that is designed to cover tattoos. I would apply it to the eyeliner with a very tiny eyeliner brush and let it dry. That way you won’t get it on your lashes. You might also just Google tattoo cover-up make up. Good luck. Believe me, we have all been there.
