    Vice Virga is our long-awaited 8-input, 8-output sequential/addressable switch . Equal parts automated patch arranger and performance tool, VV can be configured as a single 8-channel switch, two 4-channel switches, or four 2-channel switches, effectively giving you three sequential switches for the price of one. Advance going Forward, Reverse, or Pendulum. The Behavior switch adds a Noise Engineering touch: choose Seq for simple sequential switch mode, a random single output per step mode, and a mode for complete chaos: signals are routed within their group to zero, one, or several outputs per step. And it does it all in only 8HP.
    Stephen McCaul, the Chief Noisemaker of Noise Engineering, said that Vice Virga has been a long time in the making: “Vice Virga is one of the first modules I started to design when Noise Engineering was still a hobby, but things just always got in the way of finishing it off. Getting this one right took a lot of work; Kris, the Doer We’re happy to finally put this out into the world.”

    Was about to buy an erica synths sequential switch.... Think Noise Engineering Take my money yet again 😊

    this would pair really well in front of a simple 4 channel matrix mixer, so you can vary which sources go to which channel without unpatching.

    A subscribe panel - nice 😊. And there’s still space on that to add exclamation marks 🙃. Oh, cool demo, as always 😎

    Thanks for a good demo, very inspiring and helpful. VV will be my first sequential switch 👍🏽

    Oh wow very cool! Been looking at picking up a new sequential switch for my rack. Utility modules are the overlooked key to harness power of modular and great to see you innovating on the concept.

    Nice ! If I understand correctly, it is also possible to send 1cv from a sequencer to 2 or more oscillators, to distribute 1cv to several targets alternatively or randomly. Thanks .

    Looks like a lot of fun! Can it run on 5 steps or 3 steps? Maybe by changing the offset?

      There are groupings for 2, 4, and 8 steps, but you could externally sequence the Reset to create different lengths!

    Is it fair to state that the LEDs represent what input signal is present at the outputs? Like in the VCO example you patch four VCO outputs to the Vice Virga inputs, and listen back to one of its outputs switching through the VCO outs at the four inputs. Help me, I‘m confused!

    • @NoiseEngineering
      @NoiseEngineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The LEDs indicate where Input 1 is currently routed.

    How is it that all your stuff, in intros, has no cables connected but all the lights going? Do Noise Engineering modules accept stuff from the cv/gate rails like the Doepfer modules do?

    Does the stereo signal from the inputs also come out stereo through the outputs? in the option of 4 double inputs with 4 double outputs?

    • @NoiseEngineering
      @NoiseEngineering  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the inputs are independent and there is no mixing on the module.

    I’d love this but I’m Skint, got so many of your modules I’ve run out of funds, I’m 68 retired on state pension but I’m willing to be a product tester if any chance Transpires😄😄😄🆒🎶🎶🎶🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👋🌈⚡️🕸😎😇

    Hi Im a newbie to modular. I have the Vice Verga module and when I switch between different audio outputs there is a click with every switch. Is there a way to prevent this audio clicking from happening? I guess this is not so much a question about the module but more about the way modular works. I am using different oscillators at different pitches into each input (and thus output)

      Great question! Here's an explanation of what causes clicks: noiseengineering.us/blogs/loquelic-literitas-the-blog/eliminating-clicks-aka-the-reverse-adwords
