A little advice from an Ice tank main from back in the day, I don't know if things have changed in Homecoming yet as I have just started playing. But using Ice melee if you are wanting to be a tank for a group is a good option, now it doesn't do a lot of damage, you can solo on it but it takes forever to get bosses down. BUT the secret for me was picking a power a lot of people skipped over... ice patch, I enhanced the heck out of it and regular mobs would constantly slip, and bosses enough. Also leaning into the CC of it, the set it meant to be a CC tank, not just defense. so use slow enhancements in the powers that give slow as well. The idea for this tank is to get them to hit WAY less often due to slows and ice patch knockdown, and when they do hit, they miss because of the defense. And actually while soloing or even in groups, a lot of times I could run with most of my armor off in higher levels and just use chilling embrace and icepatch and icicles with hoarfrost and inspirations for healing. So I could save stamina for attacks while soloing and only using armor for bosses
Yes. All of the above ;) Ice Armor is stronger now with some buffs that they have made. It still isn't as good as many of the top performers but definitely no where near as bad as it was. Ice melee is a decent tanking set but melee sets dont make or break many armor sets. Id put Ice melee near the top of "defensive" melee sets.
I feel somewhat compelled to match my armour and melee when possible. Like going Dark Armour/Dark Melee for example. Only recently started play so I hope it turns out well :)
Dark/dark is just fine and works well with each other both having a complementary powers for hp and end. I just enjoy the challenge and creativity for a concept when mixing different primary/secondary sets. Absolutely nothing wrong with same/same toons
Ice armor is getting some buffs and we will see what it can handle. I remade my build with a different goal involved and I kinda like it now. Its still not S tier or A but low B
Was going to come back to it in a future video. Martial arts for tanks and brutes have a defensive buff to everything by 10%. The second power (storm kick I think) buffs defenses. This is amazing for tanks and tanking brutes
Yesterday's news on homecoming allowing videos and streams have gave me a boost to start back up. Started getting my setup back up and running yesterday and should be done today when I get home. Looking to record on the weekend

Can't wait for your MM vid! These are great, I posted it on our SG website!
Excellent guide, thank you very much.

@@AlienMafia17 Awesome, glad to hear that :)
Thank you for making this!
You should do a Peacebringer and Scrapper guides soon! Loving this and helping me out
Soon TM.
As someone who just started playing on Homecoming and made a pure Ice build (Ice Armor/Ice Melee), this video makes me sad.

Did I miss where you talked about martial arts, you said you would come back later and it was your fav but I didn't catch you saying why

My right ear is lonely
Sorry. Ive updated my setup and should be back making videos soon. School and pandemic has been hellacious
Anyone else only hear this in one ear on headphone?
Can u check my newest videos and see if it is the same. I have increased my audio voice but it might be time to invest in a stand alone mic
Same here. Mono audio only.
Will you still make the other guides ?
