Beautiful videos here. I just picked up an R10 but noticed that video is very shaky when I am hand holding it. As a matter of fact, the video captured is way worse than my iphone as it wobble and captures every little shake. Do we need a gimbal to fix that? I have stabilization turned on with Enhanced mode.
I understand you. I will Tell you my experience. First of course your iPhone is more stable. Because it is a lot smaller sensor, and has some stabilizer. In the R10 there is no IBIS. Yeah there is the stabilizer you talking about But thats not the best. If you pair the R10 with a kit lens or with the 50mm 1.8 stb, your setup is soo light. And handheld all the microjitters will be visible. My way is that I have the sigma 24-70mm 2.8. This lens is literally 1kilogram. More weight to your rig can be benefitcial If you want handheld. I also use gimbal to get the most robotot, smooth image.
@@reyesproductionDK Thanks for your quick reply. You are right, the microjitters from the kit lens really bug me as when I was rewatching the footages from the R10. I do have the 24-105MM F4 L Lens from my old camera (which is kind of heavy for this body) but will attach it to see if this will help with the stabilization a bit. Was thinking whether I should consider the R7 but I won't be using that much to justify the cost.
@PTvideo I am not as professional as I want to be right now But in my videos you can see what you can do with the R10. Sure, gimbal or other techniques But Still. Lot of people use higher framerate. Like 30fps or 60. And If you put it on a 24fps timeline, it will be slowed down. If 60 is too much, try 30fps and slow it down to 80% But yeag handheld, try to make It a little bit heavier. And look for some handheld techniques to make It even better.
Hi, i never made podcast in my life, i can't say anything about that. :| And i would search for "best camera to podcast" or something. I know that you would need endless battery power so you can record as much as you want. And at least a headphone jack to check your audio. (R10 has no jack) So I wouldn't recommend it. But it's because i have no experience in that :(
@@reyesproductionDK I have an Eos R ( love it ) it’s just that it last 30 min when recording. Given this camera last 2 hours is perfect. Ya the headphone jack is a downfall but thank goodnesss for ai voice enhancement:)
I can say that I do have a podcast I do use the r10 you can get 2 hours out the battery depending on your resolution settings but you can get a dummy battery that plug in the wall from camera
How does the r10 do in the cold in regards to condensation? I’ve had it for a few months now and it’s great for what I need but it’s only been spring and summer. So I’m curious on your thoughts? Thank you.
I have a video i made in the winter, with tons of snow. th-cam.com/video/akHULzWsRMw/w-d-xo.html I had no problem with the R10 during the shoot. Maybe when i went home yes, the lens was foggy because of the condensation, no harm in the camera or in the lens. The manual says 0C°-40C° and i didn't want to risk it under zero, so i was shooting outside when it was around 5-6-7°. But again, i had no problem after shooting outside in a cold day. (I was out there for like an hour i think)
Very lovely footage! do you notice any large differences when filming in the base video mode compared to the HDR PQ mode? Is it worth filming in that mode?
Thank you! :) Absolutely worth it. I mean! With the mode you'll use the h.265 codec and that's 10 bit. With the R10 you have no option to shoot 10 bit except with the HDR pq. If you don't know, 10 bit color is essential to colorgrade your footage better and easier. For me it's worth it, because I want to be professional and i have to learn a lot. Working with 10bit footage including. In the future I'll like to have a camera which has LOG profile. So learning colorgrade is beneficia..
Nevermind, I already answered 🤣Thank you so much! I feel like I'm very at the beginning but i'll continue to do my best. It's a never ending learning journey :)@@AlexMcCarthyFilms
@AlexMcCarthyFilms When I started in 2022, december, I watched TH-cam all day long. 6-8 hours a day. 😅 and It was Soo good to absorb all the information. AND THEN! I was so excited to go out with my cheap camera and try out all the thing I saw! 😇
What do you mean exactly? In the menu, you choose the HDR PQ to enable the mode. And when it’s on, you just use the camera as usual. But I will make a video about the mode, to show you even better!
I am sorry to answer for you this late. (TH-cam put this comment under "inspection" You didn't see the file in Davici because that's the free version. Sadly if you want to use 10 bit color footage (H265,) you need the paid version. Davinci Resolve Studio. I saw some videos that some people convert the h265 file before import into Davinci. Maybe that's a workaround. :|
As you would with any other footage. Card reader, open the folder and copy it to your PC. If you use Davinci Resolve free version, you can't see 10 bit footage with it. At which step you have trouble with the footage? When you insert the card into the card reader, can you see the files?
Hi. I am telling the truth! :) I have no other camera than my R10! :D BUT! I think the most important thing to mention here is that I don't use the Kitlens! The R10 camera is just the body. With some features. But if you want more and more quality you'll need a really good lens. Which is often more expensive than a camera body! I made this one with the SIGMA 24-70mm f/2.8 For example. Just some numbers. The lens is around 1300 USD while the R10 body is 900(ish) USD.
