- 2013 Cadillac XTS oil change, it was time to do an oil change job on this customer's vehicle. GM recommends an oil change between 7,500-10,000 miles. We recommend you treat 7,500 miles your AT MOST amount of miles waited to do your oil change. A car has too many moving parts giving it new oil to lubricate all those parts is always good. If you forget your funnel, but you remember your pocket knife, you can cut that one quart bottle in half and the top makes a handy funnel.

For the filter I usually like to do it from the bottom, still great video helped a-lot.

Hey sorry we missed your comment! We usually go by what the cap says or the manual of the car. I think if you use either conventional or synthetic it should run fine as long as it matches the specifications code from factory. Usually synthetic provides better protection and has less impurities that’s why if the car can use synthetic we go synthetic 👍
