Hello Hello friend you have some good videos on your channel camping in the woods you got it going on sir I enjoy the good video you n your family have a bless day my friend 🤘👍👍
Thanks for taking a look ! Dolly Sods is definitely one of the best places to backpack/hike in the east, if you have the opportunity - Go ! I just checked out your YT channel and I'm getting some great ideas for backpacking meals from you. If you check out some of my videos, you'll see I do like to cook some pretty different things while on the trail. I just subbed please consider the same :) thank you !
The red berries on the tree is Mountain Ash. It only grows at high elevations where it is cold enough to support it. You can find Mountain Ash at Wolf Rocks in Forbes State Forest here in Pa.
Hi Armand - Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate you sharing that info ! and I'll be on the lookout for these now. Just beautiful. Have you ever backpacked west of laurel summit rd up by wolf rocks ? says it's open to backpacking but I never see anyone post anything from up there. I'll usually go to Quebec Run. But it'd be nice to have a few more options up there? Thanks again.
@@dougcaye7786 I camped at Wolf Rocks on 10/12. It's a dry camp, so you must carry in enough water. There is an established site to the right of the trail with a nice fire ring and rock seating. On the weekends, day hiker traffic is heavy. I camped on a weeknight and only saw one other person. If you go after the leaves drop and it gets colder, the people will be far lass on the weekends.
Love Dolly Sods! And enjoyed your video...You definitely got some nice views of the fall colors from Lion's Head 👍 Agree that some of the campsites up near the overlook were pretty nice, with the only drawback being you have to bring water up. I'll definitely have to try the pepperoni rolls next time!
Thanks for taking a look ! the pepperoni rolls were an excellent choice ! I’m planning on a winter trip down there just trying to figure out when. Best to you !
Thank you Chris ! I just did the same and appreciate you checking out my channel. I'm heading out soon for some winter trips - we finally got our first real snow of the year !
Nice fall time trip! You always have some of the best food ideas 👍. That bread reminds me of Stromboli...New England doesn't seem to have that in the Pizza shops.
Thats exactly what its like ! It was a pretty nice upgrade from the noodles and tuna I packed in and never ate ! . Loved your Long Trail hike BTA Thanks for your support
thanks for that Sean ! they were an awesome change from ramen noodles and are some of the finest gas station delicacies available ! Thanks for checking it out !
Missed you on this one my love. T'was a bit chilly and windy up there. You would have zipped up in your bag and I wouldn't have seen you for 11 hours !
That first cold night of the year always gets ya. I like those Lucky Charm marshmallows so I’ll have to give those a try. Looks like you guys had some nice color!
Thanks Seth- It was beautiful up there. I definitely took the wrong sleeping bag, But I'll take colder weather camping every time. These freeze dried ice cream sandwiches should provide your lucky charm marshmallow requirements for the year ! best to you - thanks for watching.
I had the pre packaged ones in my hand and got to the counter and saw the fresh ones ! was like oh yeah ! They got plenty warm on the fire and were a really nice change of pace for backpacking food. Thanks for taking a look Sean.
Great to see you out again, Doug! Looked a great trip, and some superb Fall colours up at that viewpoint where you did the scrambling👍 Another very enjoyable watch! Take care buddy👍😊
Thanks Des ! it's great to be back out ! always appreciate your support. I loved your Bivy wild camp video- and I can hardly keep up w you two! I have some catching up to do ! best to you
Hi Sara- I just used the map from the park service for dolly sods. fs.usda.gov - This will be a great April trip for you. Water will be up and the creek crossings are unavoidable so wet feet are a given ! but I really like these southern loops the best. If it's crowded at the campsites at dunkenbarger/Bigstonecoal intersection. Make the left on dunkenbarger and go about 3/4 mile and there is one of my favorite campsites back in the pines to the right. There's a little meadow and creek and you'll see the path going into the woods on your right. Have fun be careful :)
Lovley Video and a amazing Hike! we also love it to create these kind of videos while we are Hiking❤️ Right how we are exploring Ecuador, for sure you would love it here☺️ Best regards Lilia & Kai

So what you’re saying is Mountain House ice cream bars aren’t “magically delicious”.
